This condo is just as beautiful as the pictures. Very clean and spacious with large well equipped kitchen. The listing description is accurate but doesn't speak enough about the wonderful lanai and the view. A lanai with a roof is a must in Princeville. Rain or shine, you can still sit on the lanai and enjoy the outdoors and the ocean view. With a large table for 6 and another for 4 for sitting out, you can enjoy your dinner/supper outside. Believe me, you'll want to do this with every chance - the whale and dolphin watching is so great as are the sunsets. (Bring binoculars, though) The location is wonderfully close to the best beaches on the north shore for snorkelling and swimming. The pool is set at the end of the buildings but just a short walk across the grass out the lanai. I would recommend this property to anyone. You won't be disappointed.

Beautiful condo! We had a wonderful week of adventure. Thank you for having boogie boards, snorkel gear, chairs, etc. for the beach. The condo is open and sunny, clean and well maintained. Would recommend it to anyone.

My husband and I booked this condo for our first vacation without our kids in 12 years. We had high expectations -- and they were met. The property was even better than I was expecting. First, the condo is huge. We felt a little guilty that it was just the two of us. The open kitchen and living areas are beautiful. Lots of seating and dining areas. Kitchen had everything we needed, even a few pantry items that we required. The lanai and front lawn area were large and private. We enjoyed visits from a pair of nenes (geese), a few quiet chickens, and some other interesting birds. The ocean was visible from the master bedroom and we loved listening to it all night. Overall, a great experience and a well-kept property.

Our trip to Kauai was sensational and mainly due to the fact that our accommodations were amazing. Our condo was well appointed, newly remodeled, well kept, and the view was amazing. The complex was quiet and serene. Initially we were trying to decide between an upper or this lower unit. Many benefits to staying in a lower unit and the view is not compromised at all. Parking was ample and easy. We liked the condo so much we dreamt of owning our own one day! Aloha!

This place was great! Big, great layout, nicely furnished with everything you could possibly need, and a killer ocean view! It is a bottom floor unit which is really nice because you can easily walk out on to the expansive front lawn which has the most amazing views (the ocean view is also easily visible from inside the unit as well). Unlike upper level units which have the hot sun beating down on them, this unit stays nice and cool. There is a very beautiful beach right below the bluff, though it may be a tough hike down for very young children (our 5 year old had no problem though). The owner was very friendly and great to work with. Highly recommended!

We go down to the beach every morning we are there to snorkel before we head out for the day for our next adventure. We love the sunset views too from inside the house so if we happen to making dinner at sunset we don't miss out on the beauty.

We LOVED our stay at this condo so much. From the minute we walked in, our breath was taken away. Such a well-appointed and beautiful condo. Gorgeous sweeping ocean views, quick access to the pool and an exquisite north shore beach, quick walk to St. Regis for drinks and dinner, quick drive to Princeville for groceries and Hanalei for a fun night out. Fantastic place to be with our three children. We rent homes off vrbo often and never have we been so happy with a choice. We will most certainly be back again!

My wife and traveled to Kauai for our honeymoon and I have to say this place was absolutely perfect. First of all, the location is absolutely breathtaking. The condo sits right on the bluff of the north shore with a magnificent sunset view. You are close to all that the North Shore has to offer too. What was also great is that this condo has direct access to one of the most romantic and secluded beaches on the North Shore. The condo itself is spacious with a big modern kitchen and plenty of areas to relax in. We definitely plan to come back.

Thank you so much for the use of your lovely home for myself and a friend to stay in while on Kauai. The location was perfect, the home just beautiful with all the comforts of home and such a splendid view of the expansive sky and ocean. I wanted to be able to hear and see the ocean, and I did! Every morning up early sitting out on the covered patio watching and listening, every evening the same. Whales, surfers, beautiful birds and more. So relaxing and so special. The Queen's Hideaway condo at Puu Poa has been absolutely spectacular for our family of four these past two years over Spring Break. The condo itself is stunning -- clean and simple inside, comfortable and just lovely. But of course the reason it's so special is the view and lanai. We spend mornings on the lanai with cards and coffee, evenings with drinks and dinner. We hike to Hideaways Beach twice most days, for an early swim and evening dip. The beds, baths, linens, and kitchen supplies are clean and plentiful. Washing machine and dryer work great. Kitchen is fun to cook in. No complaints whatsoever! The value is incredible. Wonderful running path right outside the door. Have breakfast at least once across the way at the St. Regis - just a 2 minute walk. Pancakes for four? $100! But the view is worth a million.

WOW!! If you're looking for location, location, location, this is it! We could hear the waves at night and sat on the patio during the day with a 180 degree view of the water. The unit is very spacious with a kitchen I'd love in my own home. Back bedroom's a little small but didn't make any difference to us. Furniture was dated but the dining room table was wonderful. There were four of us and we all had a wonderful week. We'll be back!

The back room probably felt small due to how spacious all of the other rooms are but it is actually a good size room with plenty of area around the bed and night stands to walk around, get dressed, etc. The furnishings are in the style of Asian/Hawaiian beach house which, in my opinion is timeless. Glad to hear you had a wonderful time on the patio watching and listening to the waves.

Gorgeous Condo / Dealings With Owner Left Something To Be Desired

Friends & I planned a 2 week vacation in Kauai. Original plan was to stay in one of the friend's condos. Several days before our trip my boyfriend & I searched for a place to stay the last 4 nights of our trip; to enjoy some alone time. We were excited to find this property available! My dealings w/ the owner were through email & everything went smoothly! Per the emailed contract; checkin was 4:00pm & checkout was 11:00am. We checked in on July 8th at about 5:15pm (an hour & 15 min. past the designated time). When we opened the door we were pleased at how beautiful the condo was; true to the pictures online! However, to our surprise as we rounded the corner; the cleaning lady had not finished cleaning. There were several trash bags out, a mop, laundry in the dryer, and she was nowhere to be seen. Upon further inspection there was quite a large black mold stain on the ceiling in the bathroom. We then checked the sheets for cleanliness as we like to do and noticed stains on them. I immediately emailed the owner to make him aware of the issues (cleaning not complete, mold on the ceiling and stains on the sheets). As I typed the email, the cleaning lady came in & apologized for not finishing. Said she thought we were coming in later that night & said renters before us left a mess. She asked if we minded tending to the laundry in the dryer since it was not finished? She said checkout was at 10:00am. I double checked & told her the contract said 11:00am. I then turned to see a note in the kitchen saying checkout was 10:00am (completely different than the contract stated). At least the cleaning woman said she'd wait until 11:00am to come by on the day we left. She then informed us the dishwasher was broken. This was not a great start to our first night alone. I included all of this info. in my email to the owner. Sadly, over a week later we have yet to hear any response from him (he has my phone number & email address). We are now feeling as though he has his money and that's all he cares about. In addition; on the day we were cleaning and packing to leave by 11:00am; a maintenance man showed up at the door at 9:00am to fix the dishwasher. A clear indication the owner got my email. This was with no prior call or email to warn us to expect him. Luckily we were awake and dressed! I find this highly unprofessional and an intrusion during time we have PAID to be there. I'd give the condo a much higher rating if it weren't for lack of care to our issues by the owner!

Owner response:All issues have been resolved. Guest did not talk or deal with the owner, she was dealing with a booking agent who is no longer allowed to book the condo. All bookings now done through the owner. There was a small water leak from the upstairs unit which has been fixed and the mold and sheetrock has been professionally removed from the ceiling and new sheetrock and paint have been installed. Dishwasher has been fixed. The housekeeper has always finished on time since then.
