Mountain Rest Inn is an elegant get away that sleeps up to ten. It has a wonderful wrap around porch overlooking the town of Bath. This house will lend elegance and charms to any gathering either entertaining your friends or enjoying a wonderful family get away. The first floor offers a dining room with a gas fireplace that can seat up to 20, a music room with a fireplace and a 7’6” Kawaii grand piano; a living room with high ceilings, abundant seating and its own fireplace; a breakfast room which seats six and finally a fully furnished kitchen. Antiques are found throughout the house. The second level has five bedrooms, two with gas fireplaces, and three and a half baths, and one with a Jacuzzi and another with a wonderful soaking tub all with the same blue tinted healing waters found at the spa in the state park.

Begin with the Ice House Gallery, just minutes from our home, that showcases a variety of artists both from the region and beyond. Continue your stroll around town to the many artist’s shops, galleries and studios in and around Berkeley Springs. You will also find several full service spas, the state park with swimming pool, two antique malls, a variety of restaurants: coffee houses, Mexican, Chinese, Italian, pizza, All -American and fine dining at Tari’s, Panorama or upscale Lot 12. There are frequent concerts at the park or local venues, and entertainment at some restaurants and shops. There is a Farmers market on Sundays and Thursdays though October. The Movie Theater in town shows first run films on weekends.

Drive to the Berkeley Springs Panorama Overlook which is rated by National Geographic as one of the five best overlooks in the Eastern United States. There you can see the panoramic scenic view of three states and two rivers.

Close by Cacapon State Park has a swimming lake with beach and concession stand, Robert Trent Jones, Sr. designed golf course, fishing, tennis, row & paddle boats & horseback riding. Other favorite activities are canoeing & kayaking on the nearby Great Cacapon & Potomac Rivers ; biking & hiking on the C&O Canal; swimming lake and town pool open Memorial Day-Labor Day and a Fitness Center with an Indoor Pool and a Curves.
