Welcome to our Tahoe home! This 1600 sq ft. home, between Homewood and Tahoe City, is 8-sided and backs up to National Forest land and Blackwood Canyon (a wonderful hike, snowshoe, X-country ski, explore area)--A perfect place for a Fall or Winter get-away. It's homey, comfortable, has tons of charm and amenities, and is perfect for up to 8 people. The neighborhood is quiet, there's plenty of parking for 4 cars in the driveway--it's perfect for friends, family or business. To quote Steve, a recent renter: "I'm so glad you opened your home to us. Friendly neighbors, quiet, virtually on the water, buoy, everythng!!! Thanks again!"
We also have a buoy that can be rented for an additional charge! It's a large size that can take up to a 25 ft. boat and is right off the end of the dock.
There are filtered views of the lake from our new deck, and you are within an hour's drive (depending on road conditions) to anywhere on the lake--skiing, hiking, casinos, rivers, lakes, and/or shopping. We are also close to the Tahoe Rim Trail and the 4X4 Rubicon Trail.
There are 2 formal bedrooms (one with bunk beds that can be taken apart), one sleeping area downstairs with twin beds and curtains for privacy, 2 full bathrooms, 2 TV's (one up, one downstairs), 1 VCR/DVD, and a loft upstairs with pads. (Please use the loft at your own risk--not suitable for small children)
The association has a sandy beach and a picturesque dock. You can bring the deck chairs down and sit and watch the lake, admire the beautiful surrounding mountains, and of course, relax!

Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 1969
Our Skyland house is owned by my parents, but since they are older, I have volunteered to manage the property and rent it as often as possible. I have property management experience from other rentals.
Note: This photo was taken on my bike ride around Crater Lake. Tahoe is a great place to ride your bike!
Why the Owner Chose Skyland
My parents chose to buy property at Tahoe back in 1968 because a house could be rented for at least 2 seasons, maybe more, and we were boating and water skiing and snow skiing, so Tahoe was a natural choice. It has been a great house in a wonderful, beautiful location.
The Unique Benefits of this House/Cabin
Peace and quiet, beauty, trees, water, mountains, valleys, rivers, blue sky, skiing, hiking, biking... What more could you ask for!
