Lie back in your hot tub and listen to the pileated woodpeckers, babbling stream, crickets, frogs and lake loons. Most visitors will spot deer taking advantage of the creek or a blue heron fishing for supper.

Sally and Jim are the ideal cabin owners!! My husband and I had the most wonderful time for our first time renting a cabin in the woods. Our first vacation away together in 5 years and we found paradise for us. The cabin was beautiful and very well maintained with a great welcome and home feeling from Jim and Sally. The description didn't even do it justice - I looked at those pictures over and over after booking it for a week and it was better than I could have imagined. We originally planned to see some sites and do other things while there, but the peace and tranquility that we felt when we got there changed our minds. We decided, since it was our 13th wedding anniversary, to just relax and stay in the cabin the whole time. We ventured out one time to get a few staples, then came back to fish, do a little hiking and relax. The sound and view is something you have to experience for yourself. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a sanity check and some peace in their life. Thank you so much for your hospitality, Sally and Jim, and we WILL be returning every few months that we can work it out.

Lovely last minute getaway
Lovely last minute getaway
We very much enjoyed our little three-day getaway here. Meals on the deck were definitely a highlight, especially with some citronella candles for both ambiance and bug protection. We loved that we could bring our dog with us. We took it pretty easy most of the trip. Went to Amicalola Falls and climbed the whole 600+ stairs up and down. Not for the faint of heart, but very much worth it. Beautiful place. We also took the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway ride one afternoon, which was quite pleasant. Most of all, we were thrilled by the very reasonable rates. Unbeatable really. Sally and Jim were very nice and live on the property. We were very grateful for their presence when we tried to leave only to find a tree had fallen across the drive. Jim got out his chain saw and had it cleared in no time. I hope we get a chance to return some day.

If you're looking to get away this is the perfect quaint little place. Jim and Sally the owners were so helpful and sweet. Waking up to the blissful sounds of the creek were truly something i will never forget. Sitting on the patio at dusk listening to the winds softly blowing through the trees and crickets chirping took me back in time. My boyfriend says the name of the cabin should be changed to "serenity" because that's what it is. Desiree, John & and my dog Roxy!

A darling cabin!
A darling cabin!
My husband, dog, and I stayed here as a pit stop on a long road trip for a couple of nights. Jim and Sally were great conversation and they made us feel right at home! The cabin was clean, quaint, cozy, and the perfect escape into the woods. Just what we needed! I'd highly recommend this cabin to any couple looking for a nice, quiet getaway. Thank you Jim and Sally! Love, Stephanie, Stephen, and Billie.

My husband and I just wanted to get away and relax. The creekside cabin was the perfect place. Our favorite spot was sitting on the porch listening to the water and looking at the creek. It is an awesome setting. We didn't use the air condition because the nights were nice and cool. Jim and Sally were gracious hosts. Our stay was wonderful and we would return again.

Our stay at Creekside was nothing short of wonderful. The cozy cabin allowed for ideal relaxation and rest. We could hear the stream running by the cabin throughout our stay, which lulled us right to sleep. Sally and Jim were so welcoming and warm. We will absolutely be back for another fantastic stay at Creekside!

An Ideal Hideaway!
An Ideal Hideaway!
My girlfriend and I wanted to get away from the pressures of every day life together for a long weekend, and the Forest Cabins "Creekside Cabin" was the perfect place to unwind! We enjoyed the rope swing, spending the rainy, cold afternoon in the hot tub looking out at the idyllic trout stream below, and then warming up by the cozy fireplace. I even got in a little fly fishing! Everything that we needed was there, and Jim and Sally were the most amazing hosts. From the time we arrived until the time we had to leave (we didn't want to!), we felt so welcome! I cannot recommend this cabin enough. It was amazing!!

If your goal is to hind a secluded hideaway, quaint with charm and great surrondings then this cottage is the place. Small, yet comfortable, tucked away in the woods and overlooking a great stream here you find peace, relaxition and tranquility. With plenty of outdood activities within a easy drive and the town of Ellijay a short drive there is plenty to do or just do nothing. I enjoyed the hikes and many waterfalls throughout the area that proved great for getting exercise and just enjoying nature. The town of Ellijay as well as nearby Blue Ridge offered plenty of good bars and restuarants as well as unique shops. Bottom line is I will return for the accomodiations as well as the region.

Great Relaxing Cabin!
Great Relaxing Cabin!
My roomate, dog and I stayed there for a week in September. Very calming and relaxing atmosphere. The cabin is very charming, rustic and clean, just as described. The owners Jim and Sally were very welcoming and helpful when needed. I really appreciated being able to bring my dog and not be charged outragious fees. I would highly recommend this cabin and the surrounding area is peaceful. A trip to Amicola Falls is a must, Blue Ridge is a quaint little town as well.

Blue Ridge is only 20 minutes away with quaint shops and eatteries. There is an antique steam engine train that you can ride to a nearby town and back to Blue Ridge. Carter's Lake and Lake Blue Ridge are nearby and offer boat rentals and jet skis as well as hiking trails. They have many trails from easy to expert!
Why the Owner Chose Ellijay:
We bought and modified an old barnboard cabin here on Clear Creek. We have always enjoyed the mountains and finally moved here from Cartersville only an hour away. We enjoy the colder weather in winter and the cooler summers. We love the anticipation of snow and the views and woods that this area provides. Jim then built the 2 cabins we have here at Forest Cabins all by himself. Come and enjoy the nature, swings, hiking and the babbling streams.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
You are in the woods on a pond and stream but only 10 minutes from Wal Mart. You have 2 wonderful state parks nearby, Amicalola Falls and Fort Mountain. 3 miles away Cartecay Vineyards offers wine tasting and music on a patio built against an old chimney over-looking their vineyards and surrounded by mountains. We are the mountain biking capital of Georgia. Our Apple Festival the last 2 weekends of October draws people from all around. The arts and crafts are always unique and entertaining. You won't walk away empty-handed. Down town Ellijay offers nice antique shops and restaurants in which you may choose to sit outside and view the surrounding town, weather permitting. About 15 miles away is the town of Blue Ridge which has a steam engine train ride that takes you on a ride to Copper Hill TN. You will pass along the river in outdoor traincars or may choose to sit inside. Blue Ridge also has many shops and restaurants for tourists. Nearby Jasper has Sharp Mountain Winery which has wine tastings.
