Our stay at Creekside was nothing short of wonderful. The cozy cabin allowed for ideal relaxation and rest. We could hear the stream running by the cabin throughout our stay, which lulled us right to sleep. Sally and Jim were so welcoming and warm. We will absolutely be back for another fantastic stay at Creekside!

My girlfriend and I wanted to get away from the pressures of every day life together for a long weekend, and the Forest Cabins "Creekside Cabin" was the perfect place to unwind! We enjoyed the rope swing, spending the rainy, cold afternoon in the hot tub looking out at the idyllic trout stream below, and then warming up by the cozy fireplace. I even got in a little fly fishing! Everything that we needed was there, and Jim and Sally were the most amazing hosts. From the time we arrived until the time we had to leave (we didn't want to!), we felt so welcome! I cannot recommend this cabin enough. It was amazing!!

If your goal is to hind a secluded hideaway, quaint with charm and great surrondings then this cottage is the place. Small, yet comfortable, tucked away in the woods and overlooking a great stream here you find peace, relaxition and tranquility. With plenty of outdood activities within a easy drive and the town of Ellijay a short drive there is plenty to do or just do nothing. I enjoyed the hikes and many waterfalls throughout the area that proved great for getting exercise and just enjoying nature. The town of Ellijay as well as nearby Blue Ridge offered plenty of good bars and restuarants as well as unique shops. Bottom line is I will return for the accomodiations as well as the region.

My roomate, dog and I stayed there for a week in September. Very calming and relaxing atmosphere. The cabin is very charming, rustic and clean, just as described. The owners Jim and Sally were very welcoming and helpful when needed. I really appreciated being able to bring my dog and not be charged outragious fees. I would highly recommend this cabin and the surrounding area is peaceful. A trip to Amicola Falls is a must, Blue Ridge is a quaint little town as well.
Owner response:Doug, Our granddaughter helps us clean cabins and when she saw how nice you had left it she was joyous. We appreciate your taking time to voice your opinion of our cabin and the surrounding area. Glad you got to see Amicalola and Blue Ridge. They are both impressive & interesting places. We now have a winery near us that is open for tasting on the weekends. Have to get some notices in the cabins. Thank you for your review. Sally

We couldn't have asked for a better place to relax than this private, cozy hideaway tucked in the trees overlooking such a gorgeous stream. It was just as described, comfortable and furnished nicely, very clean and neat. Very close to lots of outdoor activities (hiking, biking, fishing, etc) with great wildlife watching from the porch. The hosts are warm and knowledgeable but not intrusive. Highly recommend.
Owner response:Thank you , thank you , thank you Rob and Karyn. This is exactly the experience we want all our guests to have. We appreciate your review so much. Sally and Jim

Our mountain getaway was a cute, secluded cabin nestled in the woods of Ellijay,GA. Just the right size for two people. The loft provided a bed for another person. The view from the deck was awesome. It was a relaxing place to enjoy our morning coffee. Also, a great place to come back to and unwind from the activities of the day. We saved money by cooking a few meals there then eating a meal in a nice restautant in the evenings before heading back. We enjoyed visiting the cities of Ellijay, Blue Ridge, Dahlonega, Cleveland and Cherokee. We would recommend this property highly to anyone wishing to enjoy a relaxing experience away from home. And, to be so secluded, it was still convenient to major shopping centers making it easy to get that item you always forget to bring. Thanks to Jim and Sally for letting us check in early as it took a lot less time to get there from Atlanta than we thought.
Owner response:Thank you for your input. We enjoyed your visit and getting to know you both. Please come back again soon.

Selecting a valuable vacation from a web-site can be iffy. What is said on the site and is in reality may be very different and in turn disappointing. They may have exaggerated a bit and when you get there it is not like you were expecting. In this case it was exactly what we expected and wished for. It is nestled in the woods, very secluded, next to a stream that you can hear the water from the deck where there is a nice hot tub and dinning table. It is a one-room cabin with a kitchen, fireplace, window AC unit, TV with cable, a full bath with shower and of course a large bed. The owners are very accommodating and available without being intrusive. We stayed four days and enjoyed the peace and quiet plus each other very much. A wonderful "time out" for ourselves. The cabin is located about 6 miles from town where there is a WalMart, Ingles, lots of restaurants, liquor stores and lots of apple orchards. Highly recommend this cabin if you seek peace and quiet in a beautiful setting.
Owner response:Ann, Thank you so much for taking time to write our review. It means a lot to us and to the future guests of our cabins. We enjoyed your visit and hope you will come back soon. Sally and Jim

We had never rented from VRBO before and were a little skeptical but this turned out to be the perfect romantic getaway! The cabin was cozy and comfortable and the view and sounds from the creek were breathtaking. The pictures didn't do it justice! Jim and Sally were great hosts. They made sure we had everything we needed but on the other hand gave us all the privacy we were looking for. They truly have a little slice of heaven and are very gracious to share with total strangers. The cabin is far enough out of town that you feel secluded but close enough to run in for a nice dinner or a Starbucks coffee if you want. We recommend the chicken and wild rice soup at Cantabury's in Ellijay!
Owner response:Don, Thank you for such a rave review. We love it when our guests love it. We know that we're doing our jobs right. We appreciate any and all valuable input and look forward to seeing you here again. Sally and Jim

Owners were very nice, scenery was great, but the cabin was much smaller than I expected. It is the size of a studio apartment. The refrigerator is very small, but if (unlike us) you are planning to eat out a lot, this doesn't matter much. This cabin would be great for sightseers who were only planning on spending nights at the cabin (since fees are low and nightly rate is great). The rail spacing on the deck is plenty large enough for a small-ish 2 year old to fit through. I had to watch my then-16 month old daughter like I hawk whenever we were out there. I have absolutely nothing against the owners at all - I just wanted to give my version of the story that I felt provides details that other reviews have not yet provided.
Owner response:The size of the cabin is on every VRBO listing. Our's states that Creekside is 16 ft by 16 ft. Refer to it when planning. There is a picture of the refrigerator in our photos so be sure to check it out. Our Headline photo shows exactly how far apart each picket is on the deck. They are regulation. Everyone is invited to study our listing. We are sure you will do your research before making a reservation.

The minute I walked in the front door my mood went to calm and relaxed. Jim and Sally had really went out of their way to make my weekend special. The grounds where well kept and so was the cabin. The sound from the water alone made my blood pressure drop. I would recomend this place to anyone needing some down time. Thanks So much, Sherry and Carter
Owner response:We are so pleased that everyone who stays brags on first the view and then the cleanliness and the decor. We work hard to keep both our cabins inviting and clean. The view speaks for itself. We love it when others appreciate it as much as we do. We hope you will come any time you need a relaxing get-away. Sally and Jim

We were finally able to get a weekend off together and get away from work, kids, remodel of the house, and everything else that keeps use stressed out. It was great. the cabin was in great shape, clean, private, and Jim and Sally were great. fun to talk to but left us alone unless we wanted them around to talk.. There was nothing better than sitting on the back deck looking over the trout stream eating our breakfast enjoying the morning. or for that matter enjoying the hot-tub with the great view. it was close enough to town if we needed anything, but you would have thout you were a million miles from anywhere.. I reccomend taking the train ride from blueridger to mccaysville. we had a blast. then we went back the next day and inter-tubed the same route the train took. wow!! it was a great weekend in a great cabin with great owners.. I reccomend to anyone if you want to get away.. Mr and Mrs Chris

Dear Jim and Sally, WOW!!! This is just what we needed. We could not have asked for a better place to run away from the everyday stress and going-ons that keep us worn out. What a great view to sit and relax in the hot tub ( and yes it was well-kept) or just to sit and drink a cup of coffee on the deck. We took the train ride from Blue Ridge to McCaysville. That was truely amazing. We met some really nice poeple at the shops and restaurants. Loved the Nifty Fifty's Cafe, corn dogs were great. We could go on and on. This was Great. That's all I can say. We will be back and we will tell others as well. Thank You Jim and Sally

Jim and Sally are gracious hosts! They are attentive, but still allow guests their privacy. The cabin is rustic, so don't expect the Ritz. If you want clean, comfortable acommodations in a relaxing atmosphere, this cabin is for you. An added plus------ they allow you to bring your fur children!

My husband and I have have stayed in Forest Cabins many times, and continue to consider it our favorite get-away retreat. Sally and Jim have become great friends, they keep the cabins well-maintained, and are available if you need anything. We usually take our German Shepherd with us, and she enjoys the trip, as she can run in the woods or relax on the hardwood floor or deck overlooking the rippling creek. The deck is perfect with a jacuzzi tub, gas grill and small table. After a short drive (15 minutes) to town to purchase groceries at one of several thoroughly modern and well-stocked grocery stores, we can cook in the adequately equipped small kitchen, and never have to leave again. Spring, summer, fall or winter---all are our favorite seasons in the cabins! There is enough to do in the area, but we prefer to do nothing except relax by the fire, soak in the tub, listen to the creek, and enjoy one anothers' company. After writing all this, I'm thinking it's time for another trip to the Cabin! You won't be sorry you visited!
