We would give this apartment an outstanding approval rating. It looks exactly as shown in the photos. It is very efficient and spotless! The surprise was the quietness and safety of the courtyard setting. The attention to detail was impressive with everything you needed provided, including a very handy“users” manual. There were recommendations of local interest.as well “Just a few steps to St Paul Metro” is not an exaggeration! There a taxi stand there as well. It is a great location and is within walking distance to many shops, restaurants and attractions. We will highly recommend Cecille to my friends and can not imagine returning to Paris and not staying in her properties. She is a professional! .

A great apartment for comfort, convenience and privacy

We shared the apartment with another couple and it was perfect for the four of us. The two bedrooms, each with a full bathroom, are situated at either end of the apartment and separated by the common living space (living room/dining and kitchen), providing privacy when needed. It is also located in a wonderful neighbourhood of Paris, with easy access to everything.

This apartment is fully modernized, very tastefully decorated, with new bathrooms and full kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer. Very well located near Metro station, Place de Voges, etc. The owner is most attentive.

My husband and I along with another couple rented this apartment for 10 days. This apartment delivered everything we had hoped it would. The place was spacious for the 4 for us. The pressed sheets on the ever so comfortable beds and baths were fabulous. The apartment is full of natural light from the numerous windows that open. Noise was no problem as the apartment and apartment building was noiseless. You may leave your guide books at home as the apartment has every guide book you have and more. Cecile is very prompt with communication and arranged a driver for us as well as making restaurant reservations. What we may have thought would be a trade off for that upscale hotel luxury and concierge service, with this apartment you get back tenfold returns in clean, European comfort combined with absolutely prime location and Cecile's personal assistance. The St. Paul Metro stop and taxi stand is just steps from the apartment making it easy to traverse the city. It's within walking distance of Notre Dame, Ste.Chapelle, the Pompidou Center and many other sites. You can’t go wrong by visiting any of the cafes/restaurants within steps out the front door, we especially enjoyed the White Gorilla for a late night dinner and Paul's for our morning cafe. On Cecile's recommendation we dined at Violon d'Ingres and it was amazing. The neighborhood was a delight to walk and the boutiques filled with antiques, art, clothing, etc. is a window shopper/shoppers dream. After a few days in this place, you’ll feel like a local. Truly a great place! We look forward to returning. Merci Beaucoup, Cecile!

This apartment surpassed our expectations! We found it very spacious for four adults, modern, nicely decorated, very well equipped. Most of all, it is perfectly located with everything right at our fingertips: the metro, the sites, pastry shops, grocery stores, pharmacies, hundreds of restaurants. We especially enjoyed the restaurant that was right next door - Le Bistrot des Comperes. We will definitely stay at this or another of Cecile’s apartments on our next trip to Paris!

Great Apartment! The locations is a 2 minute walk to the St Paul station on Line 1. Buidling has character (100 years old) but the apartment has all modern applicances, furnishings, etc... Bedrooms were compfortable and offer privacy from one another.We'd definately stay there again.

My wife and I shared the apartment with our daughter and a friend and with the layout of the apartment we had excellent privacy for the bedrooms and easy gathering in the common areas. The kitchen was well-stocked and everything worked well. The apartment was very clean and modern. The location could not be beat. A nice building, very quiet, and walkable to just about everything we saw in Paris. Just 2 minutes from St. Paul metro and 4 minutes from Pont St. Marie and the Marais neghborhood has great energy, wonderful patisseries, charcouteries, boulangeries, etc. And, Le Bistrot des Comperes, which shares the same address as the building, is a very good, reasonably priced French bistro. Cecile came over to the apartment to meet us and she is charming and was very helpful. I hope to have the opportunity to stay in this or one of her other apartments on my next visit to Paris.

Hello Cecile I am writing to thank you belatedly, for the wonderful stay in your apartment in the Marais district in November. There were 7 of us (3 adults and 4 children) and we fitted quite well with the smallest child on tha airbed (unfortunately this had the habit of deflating during the night) however this was the only small issue we had in a wonderful visit. The location of the apartment is ideal for the Metro, bakeries, takeout food and restaurants, but is still very peaceful in its little courtyard and we felt very "Parisien" staying in this neighbourhood! The apartment itself is very charming, and well- equipped. The beds were very comfortable and we really appreciated the supply of towels and sanitary products. My concerns about picking up the key were unfounded - we took the train and metro from the airport and found the address at which to pick up the key quite easily on foot. Your folder containing local information was very helpful and it was great to know you could be contacted if there was a problem. We were truly delighted with our stay here and took several photos of the apartment to show to our friends at home. We will definitely be back and will recommed this apartment and your service to anyone we know who is going to visit Paris. Best wishes and happy New Year

Our family of five vacationed in the Marais St. Paul apartment in April 2009. Everything was perfect. I honestly would not have changed one thing. The apartment was lovely, clean and well-organized -- and looked exactly as the photos depicted. The location was ideal, with easy access to the Metro and within walking distance to the areas of Paris we spent the most time in. The Marais would definitely be my first choice of arrondissements to stay in next time in Paris. I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment. Cecile Gabillet has done a wonderful job providing the perfect Paris vacation apartment.

Hello Cecile, Just wanted to touch base and say we are now back in Australia after a wonderful week in Paris, your apartment was fantastic and everything the web site says it was, very comfortable and within easy walking distance to all the attractions and the Met was just nearby for when it was raining. Although the weather was not that nice the apartment was warm and wonderful to come home to, and the restaurants in and around St Paul were great. It was also fantastic so have the supermarket and the wonderful bakery just nearby, although I must admit the bakery got plenty of business from all of us. Everything was very professionally done, and the assistance you have given us was excellent including your contact driver, what a pleasure to get off the train and have someone waiting to drive us to our destination. I will certainly be recommending your apartment to anyone I know going to Paris, I believe you have more than one and would be interested in knowing where your others are located, for when we visit again.

Our group of four stayed in this apartment in May, 2009 and loved it. The location is very convenient, the immediate area is full of interesting sights, sounds, people watching, and good restaurants. The apartment is quite spacious and so comfortable for lounging around after a hard day of touring. A highlight for us was going to the Sunday market at the Bastille, an easy walk.

The St Paul Marais apartment was great for 2 couples, with a layout that provided lots of privacy. We had a wonderful stay in Paris in Cecile's Marais St Paul apartment. The apartment was very nice. It was clean, large (I'm told) by Paris standards, tastefully decorated, modern bathrooms, and in a WONDERFUL location. The Marais area was just great: cafes, shopping, quaint streets, metro stop 1/2 block away, River Sienne 2 blocks away, I could go on and on. We just loved it. I would go back to this apartment again and again.

Our stay in the Marais St Paul apartment was delightful. The location suited our needs perfectly, situated next to the St Paul metro was so convenient not only to shops and cafes etc, but also the close proximity to the apartment meant we felt safe returning late at night. The apartment was perfect. I went to Paris to celebrate my birthday with my two adult daughters. It was the perfect apartment, perfect location, it had all of the amenities you would need. Enough privacy, beautifully furnished and appointed. We were close to the metro, stores, supermarkets and many of the areas that we wanted to visit were in easy walking distance. It was also easy to take a taxi (there was a taxi stand right outside the building)and all you had to say was St. Paul Metro stop and the drivers knew where you wanted to go. I would definitely stay here again and again.

This was our first vacation rental experience. Cecile was a pleasure to deal with and the apartment was exactly as pictured and described. We found ourselves walking even more than anticipated because of the fantastic location. As well, it was great having bedrooms and bathrooms of comparable size for each of the two couples. We can only reiterate the foregoing guest book comments and would definitely stay there again.

We had a wonderful stay at the Marais St Paul apartment. It is appointed to a very high standard in terms of facilities and the decor and ambiance of the apartment are lovely...very restful. Every detail is thought of, eg provision of washing and dishwashing powders, free international telephone calls etc. All finishes, furniture and appliances are of high quality. The location cannot be beaten. The Marais is a wonderful area and the apartment is so close to the St Paul metro station and all other conveniences but is located in a quiet courtyard back from the hustle and bustle.

Out of many, this was probably the most successful rental we have experienced. The property was tastefully furnished and every convenience one could require was provided. An example: most rentals have not provided us with a phone at all; this rental provided a phone with free access to most numbers in the world. Add to this the location, which was perfect. The apartment itself faces a spacious and quiet courtyard. Emerging from that one is on the edge of the Marais -- as exciting an area to explore as could be desired. With that goes close access to shops which filled all our needs, including a Monoprix supermarket nearby. We give it an A+.

Our famly of 6 stayed for a week in this beautiful Marais apartment in September 2008. Cecile has put so much care into the style and tasteful design. We were 5 people from the Belleville'family from Canada. We really enjoyed our stay in Marais ST Paul. The picture of the appartment on Internet reflected exactly what we saw in Paris, it was a 5 stars accomodation. The location is outstanding, we were close to everything (sight seeing, grocery, bakery, liquor store). The site seeing of the Seine, Notre Dame, Champs Elyse was easily accessable by foot. The Parisien were very helpfull and friendly. The wine and the restaurant were excellent. I recommend this appartment to anyone whom wants to enjoy there stay in Paris.
