Our family was able to enjoy a pet-free memorable holiday at this lovely home. It was warm and cozy with spectacular views that made you feel your were sailing at high tide. The fully stocked large open kitchen made preparing our holiday meals a truly family experience. Cheryl added to the ease of moving in by being very helpful and flexible. Thank you...
Owner response:I am happy that you enjoyed your stay here, on the Milford Shore front. I think we both deserve kudos for selecting just the right home to meet your needs. Thank you for your kind words Bonnie! But I must say guests like you make my job very enjoyable.

Our only disappointment in this rental was that we chose the same shore weekend as hurricane Irene! We were able to enjoy a perfect day and evening on the beach, complete with lobster dinner, and an equally lovely morning on the deck. Unfortunately by noon the evacuation reports were beginning, so we had to depart. Cheryl and her husband were extremely gracious and generous in all aspects of our unplanned, speedy departure. We would definitely go back, hopefully for a longer visit! The home is exceptionally well appointed with everything you need for beach fun and gourmet cooking, from lobster crackers to kayaks. The furnishings are comfortable with a desirable "beachy" feel. Everything is well maintained and very clean. Beautiful views from every room. Accurately described in the listing. A vacation treasure!

My husband and I came from cold and snowy Chicago to spend a week visiting our family in Connecticut. We came to a cold and snowy Connecticut but could not have enjoyed ourselves more! The home is so well stocked that it was like our own home! We have rented several homes in the past but we found this experience to be one of the best! We had our entire family over for a joint Birthday party and everyone felt like they were on a cruise! This is a one of a kind property and we appreciated the experience and hope to come back again!Thank you Cheryl and Kimm! Warmest Wishes,Kristine and Pete,Chicago,Illinois January 2011

This was my first time renting a property found on Home Away and Cheryl made it great. From first arriving and finding that the home, if you can believe it, looks better than the pictures (!), to how easy Cheryl made the whole renting process. The house is really a great find, only a couple of feet from Long Island Sound, and well-accomodating for a large number of people; there are 3 floors! My only complaint was that I didn't figure out or ask Cheryl how the dishwasher worked sooner (there's a switch on the wall that must be on for it to work), and I spent a good part of our vacation hand washing everything. With the dishwasher figured out, my husband and I, and maybe some of our friends, would love to stay again.

First and foremost I would like to thank Cheryl for sharing her beautiful home with us. The pictures really do not do it justice. We stayed there with 5 adults and 3 children and still had enough room to host our extended family. Any problem we had, as soon as we brought it to Cheryl's attention she addressed it beyond our satisfaction, I would and will recommend this property to anyone I know. We look forward to many more vacations in this house. Thanks
Owner response:Dear Duane, Thank you for your positive review. It makes me truly happy to know that our guests appreciate all the attention to details. Cheryl :)!

A perfect spot for our family getaway weekend. House has been beautifully renovated and maintained, very comfortable and convenient to terrific shopping, restaurants and sightseeing. Waterfront views throughout the house and the sound of waves to put you to sleep every night. Loved having drinks at the end of the day on the deck overlooking on the sound. Highly recommend a stay here.
Owner response:THANK YOU SISTERS! I enjoyed meeting you all and I am pleased that you were able to have great weather AND enjoy shopping and exploring Milford. It is wonderful to share " our cove" with people who appreciate it the way we do. Best! Cheryl

This beachhouse was above and beyond my expectations in every way. I knew before I walked in the back door that it was going to be perfect for me and any of my family that could come and enjoy it with me. The owner could not be more helpful or informative. The listing description and photos are more that accurate. On top of that, the location was ideal, having grocery stores, liquor stores, restaurants, etc., all within a very short drive. Convenient! We cooked (fully stocked kitchen with quality utensils, etc.). However, we did manage to go out 1 night for dinner to a restaurant that has been around for ages. It's called Scribners and I highly recommend it. Bottom line, I give it 5 stars!

My husband and I recently rented this lovely beach house. It has everything you need....just bring your clothes and personal belongings. The owners were terrific to deal with and very accommodating. The property was very clean and well maintained. We would definitely rent this house again!
Owner response:Some people you remember. Peter and Kay are two of those people. After you left I meant to send you a Thank You note via email. Thanks for the treat you left me and the help you gave me...(ha!). Thanks, too...for being such great guests! We will be happy to see you both return.

What a treat to arrive to a 4th of July beach fireworks spectacular. It was a wonderful location to spend a week with my east and west coast children and grandchildren. The Warren's couldn't do enough to provide us with a comfortable enjoyable week.
Owner response:We thank you for your kind comments. We are so happy that your whole family enjoyed the houses and the fireworks in our private cove. I don't think that I can ever accurately describe what it is like, in words.

We rented this house over Memorial weekend for a vacation week with both sets of parents. What could have been a nightmare scenario with all the parents, us, and family who visited during the day ended up being a great time thanks in large part to the fantastic house and dedicated owner. During the week we were there we were married out on the beach in front of the house and had our small reception on the porch! It was a very small wedding but the house was perfect. The owner helped us with extra tables to use for our guests and gave us the names of a good florist and bakery in Milford. There was plenty of room in the house for all of us to hang out together but also have space apart. The house is extremely clean, well maintained and very thoughtfully stocked. There were beach toys for the younger children and kayaks for the adults. The views are amazing and the neighborhood is charming. We would rent this house again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing seaside vacation.

The secret of the Long Island Sound is that it is absolutely gorgeous and serene in the fall and beautiful in the winter. This lovely, well-insulated home created a life-time of memories for our fall & winter stay there. If you're looking to stay on the Sound, beware that not all homes are created equally. This one has been upgraded with the latest weathering advances, so that your electric and gas bills will be low and the envy of all around. The home is very quaint and stocked with everything you wish you had in your own home (and then some). The bedrrooms range from light (facing the sound) to warm and cozy (3rd floor loft), with something in-between. We will never forget our stay there and this home and its gracious landlords are a big part of it.

This was an extremely accomodating home. 3 middle aged couples rented it on Labor Day weekend, and it was the perfect setting. The description was accurate, the property was clean, well maintained, with all the amenities - we didn't have to bring linens or kitchen supplies, even some condiments were there to be used. There was a grill, kayaks, plenty of outdoor furniture, and the water was literally 5 feet away from our door (during high tide.) The owner was attentive, stopped by once to make sure we had everything we needed but otherwise stayed out of the picture. I would definitely recommend this property to a friend. We had a fabulous time!

This was our second year renting this home and we absolutely love it. The location is wonderful, the beach is just steps away and the house(s) are immaculate. The owners are more that accomodating and provide the best customer service. We would highly recommend this property to anyone that wants to enjoy a great time at the beach.

Could not have been closer to the ocean. At high tide the waves were right at the deck. We stayed for 2 weeks summer of '07 and loved every minute. Owners were thoughtful and accomodating and place was immaculate and well equipped. We rented the property sight unseen and there wwere no disappointments. It was a great vacation!
