Privately owned villa is ideally located on one of the most beautiful private beaches on the whole North Coast. Casa Linda with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, is a spacious and comfortably appointed single-storey staffed villa. Built in 2007, this villa is tastefully furnished with custom ordered furniture. The villa is painted white throughout, has cathedral ceilings, cool porcelain floors and ceiling fans in all rooms. Casa Linda is bright and airy, an abundance of natural light flows through the home. As you walk into the expansive living room from the covered pool terrace you will be amazed at the stunning blue of the ocean, the miles of white sand beach and the beautiful mountain views on this remarkable island.

DINING
Enjoy dining at the Tommy Bahama inspired dining room suite that comfortably seats eight. There is a modern kitchen with granite counter tops and island seating. The covered ocean terrace has a large round island style table to enjoy dining while listening to the waves.

POOL
The pool is a double kidney shaped pool, with a handrail and easy steps to enter. Enjoy sun loungers and other patio furniture plus a large BBQ grill for outdoor dining on the surrounding terrace, incl. is an outdoor table with six matching chairs.

BEDROOMS
Case Linda has 3 bedrooms, each with ensuite bathrooms. All three bedrooms have ceiling fans and electronic safes. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and the other two guest rooms have twin beds that can be made into king size beds.

ENTERTAINMENT AT HOME
Large flat screen t.v. for movies (no cable) dvd and c.d. player. Selection of films, c.d. music and books available. High speed internet connection is free, just bring your laptop and surf the net while sitting poolside. There is also a cell phone available for your use.

STAFF
The Dominican people are some of the friendliest and happiest people in the world. Unlike some destinations they welcome tourists and go out of their way to ensure a great vacation. With maid service provided everyday (except Sunday) you can relax and unwind in the pool, walk in solitary splendor on our beautiful unspoiled beach or read a book under a palm tree. Our housekeeper's name is Mari (Mar, rhymes with car) and she is a delightful woman with a great sense of humour, Mari keeps the villa sparkling at all times. Mari will arrange for you to buy fresh fish or lobster (from her family across the road, they will catch it that morning) if you so desire.

Cosme is our gardener/pool person and he works Monday thru Friday, though you will often see him on a Saturday morning cleaning the pool and washing down the flagstone terrace. We have security 7 nights a week, Esmeraldo is head of security for our road and often joins our night watchman sitting near our guest house. There is a back up generator on site to ensure there is always power, any of the staff know how to operate it.

There is also a lovely lady nearby that is available for beach side massages, or manicures and pedicures by the pool.

TRANSPORTATION & Property Management -
"Willy" is our property manager and will always be available for info or assistance. Willy is also our English speaking driver and will be available to pick you up or return you to the airport in Puerto Plata. The fee to the airport is $75. U.S. it is approx. a 40 minute drive. Willy will also take you to grocery stores, sight seeing, etc. You can negotiate a fee with Willy depending upon time and distance. If you are renting a vehicle we will supply you with directions to the villa.
GOLFING
Golfers are well catered for, with the Playa Dorada Robert Trent Jones course being 50 minutes drive to the est and "The Pebble Beach of the Caribbean" the oceanfront course at Playa Grande, being 30 minutes to the east.

WATERSPORTS
Surfing, kite surfing and wind surfing are the specialty in Cabarete. It is one of the top ten best places in the world for these sports.

FINE BEACHFRONT DINING
During the day and in the evening, the beachfront in Cabarate has dozens of restaurants that open onto the beach. Cabarate is a quaint, bustling town with unique shops, grocery stores and bakery. Enjoy a drink or a meal and immerse yourself into the wonderful culture of this dynamic Dominican town.

COUNTRY LIVING
We are located 20 minutes east of Cabarete on a quiet country road. We do have neighbors, however, you feel a great sense of serenity and tranquility in this private little piece of paradise. The distance to Cabarete is close enough for convenience but just the right distance away for enjoying the peace and serenity that Casa Linda offers. It is the perfect location for visitors that value their privacy and enjoy waking up to birds singing and waves crashing on the beach.

  • We arrived to a wonderful group of Dominicans who truly welcomed us and quickly became our family. We would wake up every morning to an amazing sunrise and dine everynight on the terrace with the ocean waves as our view. We were so well looked after by our Dominican friends, Mari, Cosmo and Willy everyday. We had Willy drive us to Cabarete for shopping and dinner on the beach and also a day trip to Puerto Plata. We enjoyed fresh fish whenever we wanted it. We could lounge poolside and then take long walks along the ocean. The three of us came here to celebrate our 50th birthday and what a better way.   • To sum up ten blissful days at Casa Linda is truly a challenge. This private, intimate getaway has advantages that couldn’t possibly come through in photographs. Located along a quiet street, wonderful for morning walks, situated directly on the beach, it is without doubt one of the most beautiful places I have ever had the privilege of experiencing. Not surprisingly, the local community was full of culture and smiling faces. The staff at the house however, went above and beyond. Mari was always punctual and quick to keep things tidy, while Cosme was exceptionally eager to help. Willie was always ready to take us wherever we wanted to go, and was so well versed on the layout of the island we knew we were in good hands. To say their service and support was exceptional would be doing them no justice. I truly feel great friendships were made in the short time we were there. I look forward to a time when I can return to Casa Linda, and would recommend it for any couple, family, or individual person looking for time to rejuvenate. It offers up something magical, something I didn’t even know I needed until I was there!

  • Highly Recommended ! Spent ten days at Casa Linda with some girlfriends . It was perfect. Outside, the casa is reminiscent of a villa in southern France. Inside, the casa is beautifully decorated in a Caribbean flavour. The casa’s design cleverly allows for Caribbean breezes to flow through, always ensuring a comfortable temperature. The 3 bedrooms are located in the corners of the building which allows for privacy when there is a large group ( good for non snorers). The bedrooms and guesthouse each have their own bathrooms which was excellent for a group of women. We didn’t even have to make our beds as every day a lovely, friendly local housekeeper came to clean. Such a holiday! If one wanted to prepare some meals, the kitchen was well equipped. The casa is located directly on a beautiful sandy beach which we had most times to ourselves. We enjoyed long walks on this very private bit of paradise. Another option to the ocean, was relaxing around the pool. This area is also very attractive, surrounded by tropical flowering plants, also well equipped with tables and comfortable lounging chairs. The pool and grounds of the casa are extremely well maintained by another friendly, local individual. We also felt very secure as a professional security firm is engaged to patrol the grounds at night. You can enjoy getting away from it all at Casa Linda but you are also close to towns that offer more touristy amenities such as restaurants, shopping, quite good grocery stores. We did engage Willie’s taxi service to escort us to various excursions. Willie’s ability to speak English was very much appreciated. He dealt with our group with much patience and humour. We all had an excellent holiday in the Dominican Republic because of our stay at Casa Linda. We all agreed that we would highly recommend Casa Linda to family and friends. A wonderful vacation spot!!

  • If you have been to the Dominican Republic you know what an amazing country it is. Its two most outstanding features are the country’s fabulous beaches and the warmth of the people themselves. If you want to fully experience both of these things you should plan to stay at Casa Linda in Las Canas. It is truly a remarkable spot. We have stayed there two years in a row and hope to go back there again next year. This beautifully designed and well-appointed resort home is safely nestled in the Dominican countryside right on the Atlantic Ocean – wow, wait ‘til you see it! The community folks hired by the owners take pride in the care of the villa itself and whoever finds themselves lucky enough to be holidaying there. The gardens and pool are maintained to top standards by Cosme the groundskeeper and the house is kept very clean and comfortable by the lovely Mari. The first year we were so glad to have Willy, who speaks excellent English, be our driver and guide to the local amenities, but this year we opted to rent our own vehicle and find our way to the many amazing natural attractions, sights and restaurants a short drive away. We never gave a moment’s notice to our safety as the house is well-secured and has an always present but unobtrusive night-time security guard. This is honestly such a wonderful place to go for a luxurious, and truly different and relaxing getaway vacation. We would recommend it highly to anyone looking to stay somewhere that combines the resort experience (except without the crowds and with your own private pool and beach!) with the adventure of being immersed in the charming culture of the smiling Dominican people.

  • After seeing pictures on the internet and booking a vacation home, I always wonder what I’ll find when I arrive. In this case, the pictures don’t begin to do justice to this villa. The design is brilliant with a continuous air flow throughout the house, taking advantage of the ocean breezes. There is a covered lanai at the pool side of the house (we used it as our internet café) and another facing the ocean (we ate dinner there most nights and used the big rocking chairs for an after dinner drink). Every room in the villa has vaulted ceilings soaring approximately 25 feet. The three bedrooms (each with ensuite and safe) have windows on two sides and sliding doors to a lanai on the third. The guest bedrooms each have twin beds that can be made up into a King. You’ll be lulled to sleep each night by the sound of the waves. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking (we had some great fish and barbecues), baking (muffins and one scary bad cake - be careful translating Spanish to English). The living room furniture is all very Pottery Barn and beautiful. There is a double kidney shaped pool with lots of lounge chairs and umbrellas. It has pool noodles to float with and lighting for a night time swim The beach and water are fantastic, hours were spent swimming, walking or just reading in one of the comfy beach chairs. One day I took advantage of an hour long massage on the beach under a palm tree, eyes closed listening to the waves; does life get any better? We hired Willy the driver to take us to a restaurant called Castle Club; the building and views are worth the trip. We sat in the kitchen on stools and had drinks, then moved to the dining room for dinner and finally the living room for after-dinner drinks. We asked Willy to pick us up at 9 pm, at 8:58 I heard his car coming up the road, Willy speaks English and was great if you need to go somewhere. Needless to say we loved this villa and would highly recommend it.

  • My friend and I spent a magical week in November 2008 at Casa Linda. The house is situated on a beautiful, nearly deserted beach. I spent many hours walking along the beach, without encountering anyone. The road that leads to this paradise is nearly devoid of traffic; which only enhanced my stay and added to the quiet enjoyment of this tropical paradise. The house itself is very well equipped with all of the modern conveniences needed to ensure a comfortable stay. With poolside and ocean-side patio, there is always a pleasant out-door area to enjoy a drink or meal. The very capable housekeeper and groundskeeper ensured that everything (including me) were well cared for. Willie’s taxi service was convenient and fairly priced. Willie’s extensive local knowledge and command of English ensured that our occasional excursions were trouble free. We will certainly be returning to this idyllic vacation home.
