Why the Owner Chose Flagler Beach

This beach town is special. You feel it when you cross over the Intercoastal Waterway (ICW)and see the panoramic views with the aquamarine backdrop of the Atlantic. You feel it when everyone you pass waves or says "hey". You feel it when you take that big sigh of relax as you enter the "no stress zone" I call home.
Fine Dining in town- Blue, Turtle Shack, Rossi’s, La Mer;
*Family dining -Martin's, Fish Market, Golden Lion,;
*Daytona Beach & it's wonders, 20 min. south on the A1A
*Historic & beautiful St. Augustine 40 min. north;
*Orlando theme parks a little over 1 hour inland.
*Friday and Saturday Farmer's market in town square one block away
*Surf board & bike rentals by the pier half block away
*Launch ramp and world of intracoastal fishing minutes away *Canoe/kayak rentals in Tomolka State Park

The Unique Benefits at this Villa

This town is unique in many ways. It hasn't changed a whole lot in the last fifty years and that was no accident. Highrises are not permitted so we can keep the Old Florida feel. The beach is certainly never crowded and runs as far as you can see in either direction. There are no buildings allowed on the ocean side of A1A so the beach seems to be just for you. Nearby Tomoka Park with it's canals, paths and incredible Jungle is a natural treasure filled with wildlife. Princess Preserves is a newly discovered favorite of mine...wildlife, kayaking, nature trails under huge Oak Canapies as old as Florida itself. Yes, Flagler Beach is the kind of town where sand sometimes drifts across the walkway of City Hall. There are no big chain fast food places in sight. The Farmers Market on Fridays and Saturdays is a great way to celebrate the locals and pick up fresh everything. Yet a 15-20 minute drive in either direction finds you in Old St. Augustine or Daytona Beach and the Speedway...I really do live in paradise and am very proud to give you the keys for a time. Enjoy your time!

Owner's Map of Flagler Beach

I was born here in the '50s and feel I had the kind of childhood books are made of. Memories of swimming horseback in the ocean, building secret forts under anchient oak canapies. I smile remembering the rides that ended camping for days on the beach, parents packing enough supplies in their stationwagons for the horses and us to live like kings with s'mores. In 1969 my Dad was transferred to Miami, and so began our new life in the big city. I've since raised a family there, my girls now grown. I knew at some point I would return to my roots. I wanted to offer my grandsons the magic of this little beach town. So last year when given a priceless opportunity to buy an little piece of paradise, I jumped in my car, drove from Miami, and closed the deal that day. My sister did the same. It is that kind of special...Since she lives in Georgia, we have this opportunity to offer her vacation villa to a few guests here and there. You won't find any valet parking or professional bell hops here. But after you park your own car, and take your own bags through the beautiful courtyard-pool area to your shiney little upgraded villa without the 5 star prices, I believe you will agree with us. There is magic in this town and it is definitely a 5 star location...

    • We stayed here for Bike Week 2009. It is absolutely beautiful and this is a great spot if you don't want to be in all the craziness of Daytona. There's a terrific biker bar within walking distance that's not as crowded as the Main Street bars. The accommodations are perfect. Great spot to park your bikes, and cute, very clean little apartment. And the pool is absolutely gorgeous, just wish we would have had more time to enjoy it. Will definitely put this on our list of return spots. Thank you, Debi!!

      Homeowner Response:
      It was a pleasure meeting you both and I look forward to your next visit. I'm so glad you loved it... Warm hug, Debi
