You will feel like royalty in this attractive, NEWLY REMODELED condo at the Royal Kahana. New carpet and furniture, new flat screen TV and entertainment center, free wi-fi internet, new granite counter tops and new cabinets in the kitchen and bathrooms. Spacious two bedroom with 1141 square feet of living area. It is fully equipped with TVs in each bedroom and in the living room, plus DVD players and an MP3 player. The living room has tropical decor with a queen size sofa sleeper. A dishwasher and washer/dryer are in the condo for your convenience.
Royal Kahana is truly an oceanfront complex, with the lobby just steps from the beach. The complex presents a lush tropical setting with beautiful lawns and swaying palms. Royal Kahana is complete with an oceanfront swimming pool; gas BBQ's, poolside gazebo, sauna, tennis courts, shuffle board, ping pong and a gym/workout room. The lobby features an activity desk to provide for all your vacation activities. For private parties or meetings, there is a poolside cabana or a meeting room just off the lobby.
Shops, popular restaurants, a grocery store, bank, cafe and Maui's only microbrewery are all within a five minute walk. Royal Kahana is a five minute drive to Kapalua resort with three spectacular championship golf courses, including the famous plantation course. Restaurants and shops are at Kapalua as well.
If golf is not on the activities list, Whalers village and beautiful Kaanapali beach is close by with abundant shopping and dining at numerous beachside restaurants. A short drive past Whalers village is the quaint fishing village of Lahaina, loaded with restaurants, shops, art galleries, night activities and more. Visit the Banyan tree, enjoy Local Boyz Shave Ice, and stop by the harbor where boats leave for snorkeling cruises, whale watching cruises, diving expeditions, fishing expeditions and much more. A sunset cruise makes for a perfect romantic evening. If you’re curious about what goes on under the waves, snorkeling tours are a great way to view the incredible variety of life that lives under the surface of the ocean. If you don’t want to get wet, there’s even a submarine that can take you into the deep while you view its mysteries from the comfort of a warm cabin. Helicopter tours are an excellent way to take in the views of the whole island, including incredible waterfalls, sea cliffs and forest you would hard pressed to view on foot. For those looking for a little more excitement, you can take an ATV tour or check out the Zip Lines at Kapalua or the West Maui mountains.
If you have never tried 100% Maui coffee, you are in for a treat. You can even visit the Rainbow House, a model home, just up the mountain from Kahana/Kaanapali, situated among many of the small coffee plantations. Ironwood Ranch, where your family can enjoy a fun horseback ride, is only minutes away by car. Nearby Maui Brewing Company is the island's only microbrewery, and serves up good food and atmosphere, with live music and karaoke on different nights. One of our favorite places for happy hour is Sea House at Napili Bay - they have the best pupus (appetizers) on the island; a great snack at a beautiful beachside restaurant after snorkeling with turtles in Napili Bay!

Curtis and Kim are Pacific Northwest natives currently living in upcountry Maui. Curtis is a teaching artist and musician to both adults and children on island. During their afternoons and weekends they enjoy snorkeling, surfing, hiking, and eating at their favorite restaurants around the island.

This was a perfect rental for my family. I have a four year old daughter who is active and does not do well in a small hotel room so this was the perfect alternative! Beautiful view from the deck and very easy access to the beach. Definitely coming back in 2012!!
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, families with young children, families with teenagers.
