Why the Owner Chose Kona Isle
Kona Isle became our second home almost accidentally. We were vacationing in Kona in the spring and were looking for a place for our next visit. After spending a few weeks here we knew this was where we wanted to be. We were recently married and I was closing on the sale of my house soon after our vacation was over. A chance encounter led us to the conclusion it would much more enjoyable to buy a condo to enjoy than put it in a dull old bank. And we have never regretted our decision. It is really a special place for beauty, relaxation, friendliness and close to all the attractions, shopping and restaurants.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
Sometimes the major decision of the day, after breakfast on the lanai, is whether to go down to the beach and sit under a tree in a lounge chair and read, swim a bit, or do some sightseeing. All we know is that soon it is time for dinner and we haven't done all we planned on doing. Life goes slower in Kona. Or it can go as fast as you want.
Owner's Map of Kona Isle
Hawaii has always been a special place for both Jack and me. He started coming in the 1970's. When we met in the late 1980's, Kona was the first place we spent a vacation and we have been coming back every year since then. The rest of the year is spent in Oregon in a small town outside of Portland. We are both Oregonians. I'm a native and Jack is a transplant of over 70 years. My pastime is Oregon history and Jack likes to garden and grows great vegetables.

This condo was perfect for our needs: clean, close to downtown, ocean view, free parking spot, private pool and relaxing area complete with grills, salt water pool next door. You can tell the condo owners care about their place. It was clean, up to date, and included all the necessary kitchen essentials, picnic/grill items, and beach supplies. I will definitely go back!!!!
Owner response:Thanks for your review. Being there for the Ironman is quite an experience.

We have rented this condo for two years in a row and look forward to returning in 2012. The condo is always well stocked with all the things you need, even down to beach chairs for trips to the ocean. Always clean and a wonderful view from the lanai, something we never tire of. Skorkeling is just a five minute drive down the road and the experience is like nothing else. Close also to the farmers market for all your fresh fruit and veggies. Much to do on this wonderful island, and the weather is always wonderful. The people are always friendly, and make you feel like you really belong . Jack and Joanne are most accommodating and truly show the "aloha spirit". We love it here.
Owner response:It's nice to see others can appreciate the beauty and good weather of the sunny side of the Big Island and all it has to offer. Then the quiet and beauty of Kona Isle to spend the relaxation party of your vacation. Joanne and Jack

My husband and I recently had a grand getaway for our 28th anniversary. This unit was perfect for us. It has one bedroom with a door so I can get up and not disturb hubby who now likes to sleep in (how we change). We found all the kitchen stuff that we needed. I like the idea of going out to eat for fun, not a requirement, that is so expensive. The complex is very clean, both inside and out, right on the ocean and the community inside it is easy and friendly. The complex is also near enough to get a nice walk in the morning. In town we discovered some great restaurants even for breakfast (my favorite meal) like Island Lava Java, U Top It and Lulu's. For dinner The Fish Hopper was tremendous, their special of prime rib and shrimp was very reasonable and delicious. Stuck in the middle is a very good farmer's market perfect to find the great fresh fruit that makes eating well easy. You could easily do without a car and just enjoy the ocean and Kailua-Kona all on foot. The description and photos were very accurate. The owner was very kind and answered all of my questions. I would definitely recommend this property to a friend or relative. Mahalo for the great time!

We had a wonderful time in Kona. This unit was like home to us. The view from the picnic area was amazing, and the pool was a great place to cool off. We were sad to leave and even sadder we only had 1 week. We stayed in the unit from 02/27/09- 03/05/09. The weather was perfect, everyone said it was a little chilly, but coming from rainy Portland,OR it felt like paradise.
