Dovey & Dewain, What a beautiful piece of paradise you have shared with our family! We spent two awesome nights in your very cozy getaway. We were concerned about being warm enough while out in the wooded cabin in the winter, but we were very comfortable. In fact it got a little too toasty inside some times, but no problem, we just turned the thermostat down. The pictures and description of the cabin is very accurate, it had all the necessities and a few nice extras. Everything was clean and warm when we arrived, it was fabulous! We had a wonderful time playing in the snow, the absolute quiet of night was amazing, watching the deer at the feeder was mesmerizing, we enjoyed our quiet family time together, and really just being able to truly unwind in such a laid back stress free environment! It was so peaceful and serene being there, almost surreal. Our entire family had such a nice time, especially our 4 1/2 year old granddaughter, she was in absolute heaven while we were there. I don't think she wanted it to end. We hope to return in the future, and we will be certain to recommend this heavenly spot to others. It really did feel like being in paradise, and this says a lot from someone like me who grow up in a place that everyone does calls paradise, "Hawaii"! And Dovey, you made me feel so welcome during the rental process, it was a pleasure working with you. I liked how you made the process so very simple, you have such a calmness about you. You have what we call in Hawaii, the "aloha" spirit! Thank you again for everything, we will surely cherish the wonderful memories we created during our stay for many years to come! Aloha, from our family to yoursRecommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, age 55+.

This is our family's second time at this picturesque and more than heavenly place. Whether you prefer to stay in or explore and observe nature around you, you'll find Laze Daze as THE chalet to stay-in if you're going to be in the area. Everything else is provided by the owners including deer and bird food! You don't even need to leave the chalet to enjoy wildlife----it comes to you! The kids and I enjoyed looking out the window watching a family of deer and blue jays feast on the animal feed we put out provided by the chalet's owner. The ambiance is set-up from the moment you walk-in to the chalet which exudes "heavenly relaxation." You can choose to be as "plugged-in" to the rest of the world as you want---they have wonderful entertainment sets in every room. The chalet's design is set-up to provide enough privacy for the adults while the kids are also entertained during those moments you may need to have separate adults' and kids' times. After the experiences we had last year and now most recently, I would venture out to say that any place else will be a disappointment for us so we'll continue to come back here and let others know they should do the same----that is if they want a slice of heaven while in the Mount Rainier/Ashford area.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.

We just spent two nights at this beautiful cabin a stone’s throw away from the Ashford/Nisqually entrance to Mt. Rainier National Park. The owners have it fitted out so completely, all you need are your hiking clothes and food. It’s a lovely cabin with decks outside and lots of room inside. Everything is “top of the line” quality, from the sturdy storm door to the luxurious huge Jacuzzi tub. The master bedroom has a wonderful king bed and lots of privacy. The three beds in the loft all would pass Goldilocks’ test for comfort (just right!). We were there during gorgeous weather, so we did not end up taking advantage of the fantastic variety of DVDs available. Everything was clean, well thought-out, and beautiful. I want to go back and spend a month there! If planning to eat out - skip the Lodge at Longmire. Go sit on the porch to view the mountain if it is out, but don't plan on eating there. However, Wildberry, down in Ashford, is FANTASTIC! Especially the Huckleberry Pie!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, age 55+.

Our party of four thoroughly enjoyed our 2-day stay at the Laze Daze cabin. My daughter called it "Glam-Camping," being amongst the trees near Mt. Rainier and having all the luxuries and comforts of home. The cabin was very clean, well-stocked with everything you'd need, and quiet. The location is perfect for day trips into the park and the local reference material was very helpful. A hungry but friendly deer was a daily visitor. We'd definitely consider staying here again.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+.

One word...SPECTACULAR!!!! A monster THANK YOU to DeWain and Dovey. This place is AWESOME!! Pictures do not do it justice. Super clean, updated and all the technology you need available. EXTREMELY comfortable and inviting. With the park just a football field away we did not want to leave the comfort. Only one complaint....we had to leave when we did. Thanks again, we will be back and with friends and family! :)Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.

We stayed at Laze Daze for three nights in late June and had a fantastic time. The house reminded us of a cottage from a fairy tale. It was surrounded by large trees and extensive greenery. It was incredibly cozy and the kids just loved the three beds in the loft. The master bedroom was a romantic getaway and even included a jetted tub. The owners have meticulously furnished and maintained this home and their attention to detail made our stay even more memorable. For instance, there are motion activated night lights placed just so in order to help find the lock box at night and to help navigate the stairs to the loft. The blinds can be operated from either the top, the bottom or in both directions allowing for light and/or privacy. We loved settling in around the gas fireplace (yes - in late June) to read and warm up after some great hiking in Mt. Rainier NP, where we actually encountered a good bit of snow on the trails at only 4000 ft. of elevation. A deer and a raccoon came by the house each day as well as several birds that we don't have on the east coast. As I'm writing this in the sweltering heat of a NC summer, our family fondly recalls our time in the beautiful setting of Laze Daze and wonders when we can get back there.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children, age 55+.

My daughter, granddaughter, and I just returned from a wonderful 2 day stay at Laze Daze. This cabin is Exactly as it is pictured and described! The location is so beautiful and tranquil yet so close to Mt. Rainer National Park. It was the perfect ending to a week long hurried trip from Seattle to Portland to Yakima and back. From the moment we walked into the cabin, we felt relaxed and at peace. We spend several hours sitting on the porch doing nothing but sipping coffee and watching the deer eat. At night it was so relaxing to sit and watch the beautiful fire in the fireplace and feel a chill in the air. The weather was such a wonderful break from the terrible summer heat in Florida!!! And the bed sleeps like a dream Though we didn't use any of the cooking facilities, the cabin has everything you would need to fix meals if you wanted to. We ate dinner both evenings at Copper Creek, just down the road, and it was wonderful! The fresh blackberry pie is a must!!! I think I could go on and on about all the wonderful details of this cabin. Oh, and don't let me forget the lovely walk to the river and the gorgeous wildflowers! Amazing. I can't finish this review without thanking the wonderful owners for the use of the cabin and for their telephone contact with me. The moment they called to answer my questions, my decision was made as to where I would be staying. This detail to personal attention puts the icing on the cake! I truly hope one day to return to Washington and be able to spend more time at this wonderful retreat. You are the best!!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.

Our 4 nights at Laze Daze is July 2011 were a pure joy. We came to hike in Mt Rainier NP. The park entrance is a 3 minute drive and within 10-15 minutes we were at some beautiful trails. The cabin has everything you could think of and then plenty of extras. Loads of towels, a kitchen equipped with everything including spices and condiments, an ultramodern washer/dryer with detergent, and hundreds of satellite TV channels on the 2 flat-screen TVs. The deer and bird feeders (food provided) brought deer and bluejays galore. The gas barbeque was fueled, clean, and ready for cooking. Brenda, the local property manager, and owners DeWain & Dovey add their personal touch and attention to assure that you're comfortable and have a great time. It was clean, quiet and comfortable and the beds were most comfortable. This is a perfect vacation base for a couple or a family.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.

Thank you so much for making Laze Daze available to us. Our long weekend get-away was like a second honeymoon. The cabin was spotless and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. We love, love, loved the jetted soaking tub with the view of the deer feeder! The movie selection was amazing and diverse. We will definitely be returning and will be telling all of our family and friends about this jewel in the woods!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.
