Serenity Now lives up to its name and has easy entry through the garage to the first floor where you'll find the game-room with pool table, TV/DVD area, full hall bath, and kids room with TV/DVD and Pyramid bunk. Take the elevator to the second floor which features 3 master bedrooms, each with its own private full bath and covered deck sitting area. The large laundry room is also located on the second floor.
The third floor features a cozy Captain's Watch, perfect for enjoying a good book and a glass of wine. The open plan 3rd floor features a dining table large enough to seat 10 comfortably, a fully equipped gourmet kitchen with granite counter tops, living area with electric fireplace and a large master bedroom with private bath and jetted tub. An additional half bath is also on this level. Walk out to the covered porches and decks to enjoy the beautiful ocean and sound views and scenery or take the elevator down to the first floor to relax by the private pool or enjoy evenings in the hot tub.
Serenity Now is a great beach vacation home for the whole family. Hatteras Island Adventures, Cape Hatteras Lighthouse,Cape Point fishing and surfing, Hatteras Village, Jeep Excursions, Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum, Buxton Woods nature trails and maritime forest, and ferry ride to Okracoke Island are all nearby and are great day trip adventures for everyone. Or take the family horseback riding on the beach!
For the sports enthusiast enjoy Surfing, Fishing, Wind/Kite Surfing on the Sound or Ocean. Enjoy easy beach access from one of several Kinnakeet Shores private community boardwalks and beach paths. They will provide bed linens, and pre-stock the house with trash bags, soaps, and dish detergent to get you started. They're ready to take care of any issues that may arise during your stay. Four of my friends and myself have been going to Hatteras Island for 30 years plus, not always together, and all of us agreed that this house (Serenity Now) is the best place we have ever stayed at. Over a 30 year period of time, five people can stay in a lot of different houses but by far this has to be the best. The description of the house is right on the money. The property is very clean and well maintained.The owner was very helpful, he had an answer for all of my questions. I would recommend this house to any of my friends or relatives. If you like peace and quiet, this is the place for you. I have made a reservation for next year. It fills up fast.
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children.

This was the first time my family has ever taken a vacation like this and it couldn't have been better! This house is better than it's described and fit our needs perfectly. Having each bedroom have it's own private bathroom was fantastic and sitting on our deck off the bedroom was the best way to start each day. We would spend the morning at the beach (which truly is a 5 minute walk) and the afternoon by our "own" pool. There is also a free public pool by Hatteras Realty (not the one in the development) that a couple of our family members used to swim laps. Having the grocery store 2 minutes away was also a big positive. We did take the ferry to Ocracoke Island which in our opinion was a waste of time. Waiting in the long lines to get back on the ferry to come back was frustrating and there really wasn't anything there to see. Howards Pub was good (we had dinner there) but honestly the meals we prepared were better and more cost efficient. We really had no reason to leave the neighborhood. Owner was extremely easy to deal with and answered all of our questions during the transaction. We were a family of 8 and didn't even need the 5th bedroom....so much room to spread out. Loved every minute of our time there!!
Recommended for:Pet owners, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children.

This is a very beautiful rental with all the comforts of home. The spacious common quarters in addition to the bedrooms with their own baths made the stay extremely pleasant. Owner arranged a seamless transaction. Can't go wrong with this one!

Serenity Now is the perfect house for our extended family of 10. Enough room to spread out for privacy, but great spaces to come together. Connecting with the outdoors is crucial to me, and having the many porches and decks, as well as the wonderful bank of windows in the kitchen really connected us to the outdoors. Have rented quite a few vacation homes but this one is by far the best one ever for families. Nice pool and hot tub, 5 minute or less walk to ocean, and great neighborhood for riding bikes and early morning walks! Owner is courteous, helpful, and very easy to reach in case of a question. A positive experience start to finish.
