The Area: Bald Mountain can be accessed at River Run on the south and Warm Springs on the north.During the winter, finely appointed day loges, a total of 14 lifts and 65 varied runs await on either side of the mountain. Bald Mountain's seemingly endless runs stretch 2,054 acres to the edges of the Sawtooth National Forest and slide another 3,400 vertical feet, top to bottom. Golf Facilities: A Robert Trent Jones Sr./Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed 18-hole championship golf course is the jewel of Elkhorn. Opened originally in 1974, this great course represents one of the last collaborations by this renowned father/son team. Situated on 280 acres along the base of Dollar Mountain in Sun Valley, the front nine is best know for its elevated tees, dramatic mountain vistas and rolling fairways. On the back nine You will quickly notice water features on 8 of the 9 holes as you play along and over ponds, wetlands, and Elkhorn Creek.
