An aluminum dock offers fishing and boating access to five islands with breathtaking scenes of the water, hills and sky of Grand Traverse County. A basketball hoop abuts the beach. Two fishing kayaks provide peaceful paddling to five conservation islands. Fish off the dock and swim across the cove. Walk or bike to playground, baseball diamond and picnic area. Bicycles are available for pedaling on Long Lake Peninsula.

This is a carefully appointed family home that is available on a limited basis to thoughtful family groups who will take good care of it and be respectful of the property and environment.

We are natives of Michigan and Ohio who returned from metro Boston to Traverse City in 2010 to be nearer to family. Sharing our home on a limited basis with those who seek a peaceful family retreat is an act of love from our family to those who seek likewise. We will schedule our vacation around responsible families who appreciate beauty of the lake and comfort of our thoughtfully appointed family home. As the Michigan motto so aptly says: "If you seek a pleasant peninsula, look around you." This is not a party place, large group or discount situation. Priority will be given to those who read the full profile and rates in advance and follow their initial email inquiries and research with a call to discuss their group's needs.
There are beds for ten. We limit occupancy to that number with possible addition of two children.
