Michael's duplex is quite roomy and comfortable. The updated kitchen and bath were especially nice to have...great shower too. The neighborhood is cute and quiet, but convenient to restaurants, bars, grocery, parks, etc. within walking distance. We liked the Blue Jam Cafe for lunch/brunch and The Village Idiot for drinks, both nearby on Melrose. All dealings with Michael were easy and seamless. A positive experience!

Me and my wife, and our three young girls stayed for a month at the house on Vista Street. A lovely home, well located in a neighborhood walkable distance to shopping and playgrounds, it was perfect for us.

This house is perfectly located in the center of Los Angeles, convenient to everything (Bevery Hills, shopping, Hollywood, Studio City, the zoo, and not far from the beaches if you head down the 10). It's a quick walk in the morning to get a cup of coffee or dinner at some great restaurants. Michael was helpful and available. The home is clean, relaxing and much roomier than it appeared in pictures. We really enjoyed sitting on the front patio in this cute, safe, and quiet neighborhood! We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

You can't beat this location. Everywhere I wanted to go was within arms reach (Hollywood, Larchmont, Beverly Hills, etc.). Amazing location for shopping nearby on Melrose, Beverly, 3rd and La Brea at the city's best boutiques. Fabulous restaurants too. This would be a great place to start if you've never been to LA before, and it's a great place to return to if you're a veteran like me. The home is very comfortable, very clean, and very relaxing. Although you are close to "the action" the house is a calm oasis. Loved sitting on the front patio. Very nice bathroom. Kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook and is easy to navigate. Michael has made every effort to make this place as inviting as possible for guests and it pays off! Would return in a heartbeat.

My time in los angeles was perfect!!! When i arrived to the house michael was there to let me in and showed me around. There is not anything else you could ask for in a house! It felt more like a home. It's ALOT bigger than what it looks like in the pictures. Michael was very helpful and answered an questions i had when i was there via text. Very nice and friendly person. I will most definately stay here again everything you need is local and i often walked to most places. Even on my departure he let me leave later than the check out. Perfect location, home and vaction! Thanks again Michael! :)

Great location, lots of convenience stores, shops, restaurants near by and the tour bus we had booked had a stop which was a 10 min stroll away on Melrose. The house was very well equipped - everything in the kitchen you would need. We were a party of 4 adults and felt there was plenty of space. Michael was away while we were renting the house but left a number of someone who could help if we needed it - which we didnt as all ran smoothly. Refund of deposit received the day after we left, emails to Michael were always answered swiftly. Would recommend to friends!

We stayed here Sept. 2010. Our son lives 5 blocks away. The home was immaculate. Kitchen fully stocked. Great washer and dryer, dishwasher too. Beautifully decorated. We enjoyed our breakfast on the front porch and got a kick out of the the humming birds. Have never seen one in Chicago. Lovely neighborhood, convenient to everything. This was better than any hotel. We can now say that we like L.A. because of our great experience staying here. We would recommend this home to our family and friends. Hopefully we will stay here again. Michael was always available when needed. He delivered as promised!

This is a great location in LA, two blocks from Melrose Ave and in between Fairfax and La Brea. Close to The Grove shopping area, Trader Joes, Whole Foods and of course, the restaurants and boutiques along Melrose. The house is perfect for a couple or small family. Its clean, has all of the amenities that are needed for a vacation getaway or work. Great value for the price.

You couldn't ask for a better place to stay in LA! The location is perfect, within easy walking distance of Melrose with lots of stores and restaurants and easy driving distance to all the main LA spots. The house is beautifully decorated and immaculate but still very comfortable. Everything you need is provided; towels, basic food supplies, mini toiletries. It really is a home away from a home. Our favorite part of the stay is the front garden where you can start your day eating breakfast outside in the sunshine...its so lovely you may discover that you're still there at lunch and dinnertime too! Its the perfect place to relax in LA and you won't want to stay anywhere else once you've stayed here. The price is great value and the owner is helpful and responsive. I will definitely be staying here on my next trip.

We stayed for 6 nights in July 2010. The house is clean, comfortable, and competetively priced. The kitchen is fully stocked and laundry is available. The location is wonderful with Melrose one block away. The owner is responsive and available. Parking on the street is a minor challenge. I'd recommend this to friends and family.
Owner response:Thanks for your review and I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. For those future visitors, off street parking can often be arranged, but must be arranged in advance.

Our family Thanksgiving there (with a daughter who lives a half-mile away) felt like home. Accommodations are both roomy and cozy, and the neighborhood is peaceful but within walking distance of melrose shopping and dining. Good value; we hope to return.

We stayed at this duplex in October 2009. It was in such a lovely neighborhood, quiet, tranquil and close to shops and restaurants along Melrose. The unit was welcoming, like staying in my own home, as opposed to a cold hotel. I would definitely recommend staying here. I will definitely book it again. Brett

We stayed here for a week and absolutely loved the experience (it was like living in LA for a few days!) Besides from being beautiful and being in the perfect location, this house came with EVERYTHING. I mean, appliances, soaps, condiments, towels, maps to nearby coffee places and grocery stores. It was wonderful for us to be in such a comfortable place. Not only was it cheaper than a hotel, it was far superior in terms of comfort, being able to buy groceries and cook your own food, etc. We are planning to stay here again next time we're in LA.
