This was our second stay at the Kage House, the first being a couple of years ago. This is the place to stay if you're going to Cape. The interior of the unit is extremely clean, and it's obvious that the owners take pride in this place!!! With all the comforts of home, an incredible view from the deck and the attention to the details in the home's decor it is so much nicer than a hotel. We don't have a need to be in Cape that often, but let me tell you I would refuse to go there at all if it weren't for the opprotunity to stay in the Kage House again!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We loved our stay in Cape Girardeau, Mo! The Kage House was beautiful, clean, and within walking distance to everything that we wanted to do while we were there. The only downer was trying to sleep when the busy street was right outside the bedroom windows, a popular bar was right across the street, and the train tracks a block away. If you are a light sleeper bring some heavy duty ear plugs. My sleep machine didn't do squat. Everything else though was fabulous and I highly recommend Kage House for the quality and the price.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We recently stayed in the condo for 5 nights and it was absolutely perfect. The condo was furnished nicely an the extras were a pleasant surprise. It can fully furnished and equipped with a Kurig coffee machine, washer/dryer, iPod speakers, and a lot of others. The bed was amazing and bedroom was huge. We will definitely stay there when we visit again.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Debbie, Thanks for the kind remarks. Our goal has always been to make the "Kage House" one of the most attractive, affordable, and fun places to stay while visiting Cape. This is an ongoing process in which we are taking new ideas from previous guests and making improvements to make the stays more enjoyable. Thanks again,

Great location! One block from the river, right in the middle of downtown. My wife and I have rented many houses and cabins when we travel and were not disappointed. I hate to say it, but this place is way underpriced! We will definitely stay here again when we travel to Cape.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.
