This is a custom built 1600 sf cabin completed in the fall of 2008. It is located on the Madison River, known for its majestic beauty and world class fly fishing, only 30 minutes from the entrance to Yellowstone National Park. With reclaimed barnwood floors, custom kitchen, granite counter tops, stainless appliances, 3 flat screen TVs, a Jotul wood-burning stove, and floor to ceiling windows in the living room with panoramic views of the river, you are certain to have the vacation of a lifetime.
The master suite has a queen bed with pillow top mattress, flat screen TV, French doors opening to a 5 person Hot Tub overlooking the river, and a custom built pebble shower with dual shower heads (including a rain head). There are two bedrooms upstairs, each with log bunk beds (twin on top & queen below). Open the windows and let the smell of the mountains and the sound of the river lull you to sleep. The open loft has a cozy seating area, a third flat screen TV with DVD player, and Game Cube system for the kids (and the kids at heart). Just below the deck, directly on the river, you will find a large fire pit for making S'mores while watching the fishermen in your family catch that big brown trout just feet away.
Our cabin is located 30 minutes from Ennis and 30 minutes from the west entrance to Yellowstone National Park. It is situated in a friendly residential community with about six other homes and delightful neighbors. It is across the river from a Forest Service campground and a short walk to the world famous "Grizzly Bar & Grill". There is shopping in Ennis and West Yellowstone and Big Sky is about an hour's drive.
Our location is perfect for year round Montana fun and adventure. In the winter, spend your days skiing the famed slopes of Big Sky Ski Resort, snowmobiling in West Yellowstone, cross country skiing on miles of pristine trails, watching the bald eagle soar above the river while soaking in the jacuzzi, or simply enjoying the beauty of the Madison while curled up with a good book by the wood burning stove. Fill the long summer days with activities such as fishing from the property, floating the Madison, exploring Yellowstone National Park, hiking beautiful mountain trails, horseback riding, listening to live music while sipping local wines and soaking in the Norris Hot Springs, experiencing an authentic Montana rodeo or riding the antique railway in historic Virginia City.

Hello Dave, Here are my comments added to your listing… All true “We have always wanted to Visit Montana, and this cabin was the icing on the cake! The pictures on this site do not do it justice! It is not only a beautiful place to stay but a great place to relax. We enjoyed the river, lots of fishing from the property and rafting down the river. The drive to Yellowstone was only 35 minutes and well worth it! The owners were wonderful to deal with; my deposit was returned very promptly. I am definitely staying there again. We have been lucky enough to travel all over the world and this was one of the BEST vacations we have taken!!” Will talk to you In March to book again next summer J Thanks, Robbin
