WOW, what a house with the most incredible view. The view alone took our breath away! We had the great pleasure of staying here for a ten day honeymoon and everything inside/outside the house more than met our expectations. The owner, Dave, was friendly as well as incredibly helpful. Fishing was fun, house picture perfect, and every detail thought of for a spectacular vacation. Great location to reach Yellowstone every day of our stay. We even traveled down to Teton National Park, viewed the whole park, stopped in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and came back up to the fishing shack in one day. My husband has never had the pleasure of renting a vacation home, and the fishing shack has more than convinced him that renting is the only way to go for all future vacations. My husband and I will never forget what joy this house brought us on our special honeymoon.

This amazing home was far beyond my expectations. I short 30 minute drive from Yellowstone....it was a pleasure to come home to each and every night and soak our tired bodies in the jacuzzi or listen to the water as we relaxed on the deck. The pictures and video are great but in person this house will blow you away!!!! Perfection!!! I don't have enough words to say how lucky we were to have found Dave and his wonderful rental!!! Hope to return again in a few years!!! (ohhhh...and Yellowstone was AMAZING too!!! what a great trip!) Rachel Orlando, Fl

Thanks very much for a wonderful time at your property in Montana. The location was beautiful and the home very comfortable. All our needs were met and the location was convenient to Yellowstone and other great area attractions! We'd highly recommend to anyone wishing a mountain vacation destination!

We recently stayed at the fishing shack while on a trip to Yellowstone. The drive to Yellowstone is about 30 minutes away but well worth the drive. There are two different ways to get to Yellowstone, both of which are beautiful drives. The Fishing Shack is a great place to stay and I would definately stay here again. It is very well equiped and beautifully decorated. Even in June the weather was great, cool to cold all the time. Living in Alabama I was worried about no AC in June, but it was NOT need. Even the local neighbors made our visit more fun. If you have a GPS the coordinates are N44 55.824' W111 34.335.

We stayed in this beautiful cabin from May 30th - June 6th, 2011. The cabin exceeded our expectations! All accomodations were more than comfortable and a minor issue with the garbage pick up was resolved within hours with one quick phone call. The 30 minute drive to Yellowstone was so scenic that it was worth every minute. Every day, we seemed to see different wildlife. This was truly a trip of a lifetime! We had 8 people with us ranging in age from 11 to 62 years old and we all had a wonderful time! I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking to experience the beautiful Montana/Wyoming countryside. The view from the deck was heaven sent. It was so nice to spend mornings and evenings with coffee and the beautiful view. We spent many days in Yellowstone but also spent one day in West Yellowstone, Virginia City, and one night and day in Grand Teton. The cabin was a good distance for everything. The owner was very helpful in finding grocery stores and suggestions on what to do and where to go. We will forever remember this trip and hope to return one day soon!

This is a stunning, well-built home on a beautiful piece of riverfront property. Our family enjoys this retreat on a regular basis, and will continue to do so. The owners are exceptionally cordial and care about the quality of our stay, and the home really does feel like a home. It feels cozy but has an open floor plan and loft that gives our family lots of room for socializing and game playing. Sitting in the hot tub overlooking the Madison River is an evening ritual we never miss! We stay here as a base camp for fly fishing, hiking, and cross country skiing, and wouldn't even consider other nearby properties.

thank you very much for the use of your amazing vacation home. The house and the location were fantastic. We have rented a vacation house once before and it left much to be desired. Yours on the other hand was nicer than we imagined. So Thank You. We are already thinking about when we might be able to vacation there again. The interior of this house is amazing. All of the finishes and the attention to detail really made the house a joy to stay in. We used the hot tub several times and the fire pit too. We shared the house with another family, so we had four adults and four kids (3 and under) and we had enough room for everyone. The owners were very helpful and friendly in all of our pre-vacation coordination. We could not be happier with the house, and would recommend it to anyone. It was truly one of the highlights of our vacation.

We rented this "shack" for a family reunion. (Trust me, it is about as far from a shack as you could possibly get.) When we started looking, we wanted a place close to park activities, but one that would still give you the feeling of being on vacation in the mountains even when you were in for the night. This place is PERFECT! The pictures and video are great, but couldn't possibly capture the real beauth of this place. The cabin itself is comfortable and homey. We used the firepit by the Madison almost every night. We slept with the window open listening to the river! It was wonderful! The Stewarts are terrific "hosts". There was plenty of everything there and the information packet answers about any question you could think of before you ask. We would definitely recommend this cabin!

The cabin was a perfect touch to our great vacation to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. The cabin was about a 30 minute drive to get into the park, but it was perfect for our family to see the beautiful scenery on the way. We loved having the Madison River right in the backyard and the hot tub on the deck. We could not have asked for a more perfect home for our getaway!!

We just returned from out week at the house and had a wonderful time. The house was very clean upon arrival, had great features and was a great location to both relax and get into Yellowstone. The security deposit was very promptly returned. Everything in the listing was accurate - if anything it understated the experience of the setting - I thought the video did a good job of demonstrating that. The house had many nice amenities and everything we could possibly need. In many ways it was a destination in and of itself! We were able to get to both Yellowstone, the Tetons and Virginia City easily for day trips. We'll definately recommend this to friends and book it for our next vacation out west.

We rented the house for a week and what a great time we had!!! Everything was perfect (clean, well maintened and equipped). We really enjoyed watching the stars on the deck or by the fire pit, relaxing in the hot tub, and cooking good family dinners. The house is even nicer in real than on the pictures. The 30 minutes drive to Yellowstone Park is also really nice and worths it.

We just spent a week at the "fishing shack" and count it as one of the best vacations we ever had. I highly recommend staying here. The house was immaculate and everything was high quality. Yellowstone was the best, and we also enjoyed Virginia City very much. It was a 30 minute drive into Yellowstone every time we went but the drive is so pretty it was very much worth it. One of the best parts was coming back after a long day and relaxing in the hot tub while cooking dinner. I also loved listening to the river at night. GREAT VACATION!!

I thought the pictures were incredible, but in person, was even better! Clean, well-maintianed, perfect! My pre-teen summed it up the first night by proclaiming that walking in the door felt just like coming home. Dave, you and your family have certainly thought of everything. I was especially thankful for the "welcome" packet sent when we booked the rental - having a copy at the cabin was thoughtful as well. We discovered that there is an excellent medical facility - a small hospital with a 24 hour emergency room - about 30 minutes up the road in Ennis. Same services as in a big city with none of the wait! My husband spent most of his vacation as an inpatient there and we cannot say enough about the care he received. I'm happy to say he is fully recovered. Probably the highest compliment I can give is how safe I felt - since most of our vacation was just my child and myself in the cabin. The location was remote enough that we were able to enjoy the peace and quiet, but close enough to neighbors that we didn't feel isolated. My child thought this was one of the best vacations ever - this from one who makes a yearly trek to Disney World! We didn't see a lot of Yellowstone, but the people of Ennis could not have been more kind. We cannot wait to try this vacation again next year!

We had a great time and loved the house. Watching the river during a snow storm was the best----we don't get to see snow very often in Texas. Everything imaginable was available for our use at the house. We loved it and would definitely return. This house is, by far, the best place to stay for visiting Yellowstone. The west entrance was only 30 minutes away.

Hello Dave, Here are my comments added to your listing… All true “We have always wanted to Visit Montana, and this cabin was the icing on the cake! The pictures on this site do not do it justice! It is not only a beautiful place to stay but a great place to relax. We enjoyed the river, lots of fishing from the property and rafting down the river. The drive to Yellowstone was only 35 minutes and well worth it! The owners were wonderful to deal with; my deposit was returned very promptly. I am definitely staying there again. We have been lucky enough to travel all over the world and this was one of the BEST vacations we have taken!!” Will talk to you In March to book again next summer J Thanks,Robbin

The place was great! Seeing a moose and bald eagle along the road going to the cabin was so awesome. It's worth the 35 minute drive to West Yellowstone to stay at this cabin. It's very well decorated and felt very homey. The rustic feel of the old barn doors used inside was really a nice touch. The rush of the running river right off the back deck gives it so much life. We wish we would have brought our fishing rods. The security deposit was returned to us very fast. The owners were very easy to deal with and very helpful. The whole experience was just great. I would go back.
