Why the Owner Chose Siasconset
Tuckaway is a traditional 'Sconset Cottage and has been in our family since 1974. We started renting it in 2006 (booked solid each summer). Our family has been coming to 'Sconset and Nantucket since the late 50's.
It is uniquely private and quiet, hence "Tuckaway", yet close to the center and beaches.
The Unique Benefits at this House
The home is a classical Brittany-style with raised ceilings, wood paneling, an abundant art collection, antiques and new comfortable furniture. We love the history of the island and the natural beauty. It is famous for Surf Casting (we provide a Landrover with current beach tags and surf casting equipment). Private, within hearing of the ocean and a quick walk; the beaches are uncrowded and the water is warm. 'Sconset remains unspoiled and maintains its history: whaling, 20's, 30's to the present day.

My family and I enjoyed our stay there very much. The owner was very gracious and concerned that we found the home and amenities to our satisfaction. It was also really nice having the use of the car with the beach and fishing passes. The only thing I would recommend is pulling out that old stove and update the kitchen. The location was wonderful and it was great to have such a nice yard and area for the kids to play and ride bikes.

Recommended for:Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children.
