This is a 4 season cabin located on tranquil Lake Katherine in Hazelhurst, WI (8 miles south of Minocqua). It is nestled among tall pines and oaks for that great northwoods feeling. First floor features main bedroom with queen-sized Select Comfort bed, second bedroom with double bed. We have a newly remodeled full bath, fully equipped kitchen, and enclosed porch overlooking the lake. The living room features a gas fireplace and a loft above with 3 single mattresses for the children. Main Floor sleeping accomodations suit 6 persons. We have additional sleeping space on the lower level. Catch our son’s video on “You-Tube” for a visual tour.

This cabin has been in the family since 1951 and is attached to our main house, equivilent to a side by side, (as it would be in a resort). The cabin is very private from the main house. The cabin has the original hard-wood flooring, pine paneling, stove, stone fireplace and pine cabinets. However, we have updated just about everything else! Wireless Internet is even available. It has the northwoods charm with modern updates.

The cabin has a level approach to the Lake Katherine and features a private pier, private swim raft, and private beach. Our spectacular sugar-sand beach and weed-free shoreline is great for swimming. All water-sports can be enjoyed on Lake Katherine including waterskiing, jet-skiing, scuba-diving, canoeing, and kayaking. You are sure to catch a view of eagles and you can’t miss the call of the loons. Available to anglers on this 590 acre lake are muskie, walleye, large mouth bass, small-mouth bass, and bluegill.

Our property is located 1 mile from the Lake Katherine boat landing and public beach. In addition, the Hazelhurst Town tennis courts, playground, and ball field are walking distance from the landing. Other nearby attractions include cinemas, casino, shopping, indoor waterpark, hiking, cross-country trails and many great restaurants. The popular Bearskin Trail is located across the highway. The trail is an old railroad bed with a crushed granite base, used for hiking/biking in the summer and snowmobiling in the winter.

Enjoy the peacefulness of the Northwoods while having the conveniences of being close to town. Minocqua (on Hwy 51) has a quaint downtown area with typical tourist shops, and it also has a super Wal-Mart (on Hwy 70 West) that just moved into town. We have many excellent restaurants and several specialty grocery stores.
