We have travelled extensively using VRBO as our go-to place for accommodation. We are in Whistler for a conference, and while the rest of the attendees are cooped up in tiny hotel rooms, we have the luxury of this beautiful suite with all it's fantastic amenities. The unit is spotless, well appointed and provides all the comforts of home. The building is well-maintained and staffed. Maria does an exceptional job of ensuring guests are well-informed about all the important details one needs in unfamiliar surroundings. She runs her rental operation better than many hoteliers! For price, location, comfort and cleanliness, this place can't be beat! We'd come again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it as a perfect spot to stay.
Owner response:When it comes to sharing our vacation home, we put ourselves in the guest's shoes. We think about what is important from a traveller's perspective and try to deliver it. Guest experience is paramount and when our guest confirms positively, we are thrilled. Thank you for sharing your experience. We are looking forward to hosting your stay again!

Thank you so very much Maria for making your absolutley beautiful condo available for an amazing Whistler Adventure. I was impressed by the pictures on-line. However, I was blown away by the the real thing. This condo is more spacious than even the picture shows and feels larger than any one-bedroom I have ever stayed in while in Whister or in the Aspens. Of ocurse you cannot beat the location slopeside and the brief hop skip and jump from the base. The condo itself was immaculate, had the finest kitchen amenities, the coffee pot, toaster, granite, even the wine glasses were all top of the line. Truely a feeling of welcomed luxury. I felt so at home and was so very comfortable. I had friends in other units in the same facility and they did not come close to comparing to the comfort and beauty of this unit. I too very much appreciated the toiletries and used the complimentary lip balm after our wonderful days of skiing. We will definitely be back and hope to book it before my friends do!!!!!! Thank you so very very much!!!!!
Owner response:Memories are made with the people you are with. The venue is a bonus. We are pleased to hear that our home was that bonus. We believe that when travelling, where possible, one should have the comforts of home. Thank you for sharing your experience. We are looking forward to seeing you again soon. Warm regards,

This was the most amazing place to stay ever! Look no further if you are heading to Whistler. Not only is Maria great to deal with but the place is absolutely amazing. My partner and I got married there recently and we had also booked ourselves into the Fairmount Chateau as we did the whole "don't see the bride before the big day" and our guests stayed both at the Fairmount and at other properties in The Aspen. All I can say is none of the other properties even compared to this apartment. I was in a full one bed room king suite suite in The Fairmount and it was nothing compared to this not to mention it was like triple the price for a night. Maria's place really shows attention to detail everything was amazingly comfortable and clean. On arrival there were goodies such as hot chocolate and fresh Starbucks coffee beans awaiting you, not to mention the little gorgeous toiletries in the bathroom that was a great touch as most people probably haven't had enough time to go to the Supermarket yet - It even had a new little lip balm there for you which is great as travelling always dries out the lips. The Kitchen was excellent fully equipped with all the best cookware it is a chefs dream when travelling. We were able to cook like we were still back at home which is great as when you are holiday for over a month eating out all the time is a real pain. It has all the things you would have in a kitchen at home so cooking was great not once did I say I wish I had.... Also you can't beat the location just far enough away from all the buzz but close enough to walk everywhere. We never used the free shuttle we just always walked down the hill and to the Village. Thank you Maria for an awesome stay it was amazing and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for our marriage and a place to start our honeymoon. It was amazing and all your help was greatly appreciated :) We stayed there for nearly two weeks and loved every moment of it. Can't wait to come back again :)
Owner response:We are pleased to hear all went well with the wedding in Whistler. Planning a huge event from across the world is no easy task. We were pleased to assist the newlyweds with their accommodations. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful experience. It helps us ensure that we are constantly meeting and exceeding guest experience expectations that match reknowned hotels like the Fairmont. We hope to be part of many more of your new family's milestones.

We just got home from a ski trip to Blackcomb/Whistler and stayed in this Aspens unit. Access to the slopes could not have been easier. The Aspens is right near the bottom of Blackcomb base and the Wizard chairlift. The great location made it easy to ski with kids and also convenient to walk down to restaurants, etc. The unit was as pictured with a nice king size bed, 2 flat screen TVs and a fireplace. While we were there the fireplace timer happened to gave out, but Maria had someone fix it by the time we got back from the slope…great response time! I would also mention if you’re a cook, the cookware, etc are top of the line. Thanks again for sharing your home.
Owner response:It was a pleasure to host your stay. We are pleased that you also appreciate our wonderful location. At the end of the day, nothing is easier than just coming home -no waiting for shuttles, walking with tired young skiers and being their valet. Thank you also for sharing appreciation for quality and attention that we put into our home. We look forward to seeing you again!

Just wanted to note that I didn't even end up staying at this condo, but the owner (Maria) was gracious in her correspondence with me and offered me honest insight into The Aspens and other surrounding properties and Whistler in general. I can tell she is proud of her wonderful home and loves to share it with others. It was a blessing to experience such warm hospitality, regardless of whether I actually booked with her. I will definitely stay here next time.

My wife, 10-year old son, and I stayed in the unit for 7 nights (1/8/11 - 1/15/11). What a fantastic experience!! The care with which Maria has assembled the furnishings and amenities really shows. Everything you could possibly need is in the room. My son really enjoyed the Wii and the sled; my wife appreciated the fully stocked and appointed kitchen (and the coffee-maker!!); the bedding and mattresses were first-rate; even the decorations were terrific. The development is also excellent, with on-site ski check and ski tuning shop. The grounds and room were very quiet all week, and we really enjoyed the pool and hot tubs. It is an easy walk down the hill to the village from this location, and skiing right up to the development was completely awesome. The unit is even better than the description and pictures. Maria also has pull with the management company: I sent her a note about some ice build-up on the path to the slope. Maria got back to me in minutes, and within about an hour of my e-mail the staff was breaking ice! We hope to rent from Maria again!

My wife and I stayed in this condo for 6 nights 1/17/10 through 1/23/10 and had an absolutely amazing time! Maria had the unit perfectly cleaned, there is tons of room for 2 people or a 4 person family (2 kids + 2 adults), and the location is great in that it's a ski in/ski out. I appreciated the updated appliances and all of the little features (plenty of clean glassware, pots/pans, etc) that made it truly feel like home and not like a overused condo. I also appreciated how well appointed it was with good sized furniture and tasteful decor which made relaxing after a long day of skiing quite a treat. It is in the Upper Village, so you have a bit more of a trek to Whistler Village compared to some places, but the ski in/ski out feature made it completely worth it in my mind. The complex itself was in great shape with a ski valet, well taken care of hot tubs/pool (hot tubs were cleaned daily), a ski shop in the lobby (makes renting VERY easy), easy to access on-site underground parking (although you must pay), and I could go on and on. I must say that the pictures of the unit are 100% accurate and are not just "taken from the best angles" or anything like that. Do not hesitate in booking this unit! We've had lots of great experiences on VRBO, but this was the best!

September 14-17, 2007 Thanks so much Maria and family for sharing your "home away from home" with us. The instant we walked in through the door of 440, we both relaxed; feeling the comfort, warmth and beauty of the condo pull us in. What a wonderful place to come to. We will definitely be back with and without the children.

Aug 11-14, 2007 Our third summer trip to Whistler - Our first stay at the Aspens 440. Absolutely loved it! All the extras and upgraded amenitites made us feel very special - Thanks Maria. Our favourites - lying on the floats at Lost Lake, biking all over the gorgeous trails, the bungee trampoline down the hill, the luge ride, fresh morning walks, Starbucks, the deli at Nesters, Monopoly tournaments. Thanks.

Mar 22 - 25, 2007 We have been to Whistler many times as well as the Aspens. This is truly the most remarkable, beautifully decorated, inviting, home feeling place. The weather was not great for boarding but that can happen this late in the year. All in all, a great trip. Thank you for the awesome accommodations.

Feb 21 to 28, 2007 This is love at first sight on the internet and the actual condo has not disappointed us. It looks exactly (if not better) the same as the pictures on the internet. Wonderful. We had a very enjoyable holiday in Whistler. Maria, our host, is very thoughtful and attended to every little details of our requests. We had a wonderful stay in the condo and an unforgettable holiday in Whistler.

Jan 27 to Feb 3, 2007 Enjoyed this wonderful apartment, very tastefully furnished and well equipped and so easy access to the ski lifts. We had a great week, good snow and lots of sunshine. Heard lots of "Il Divo". Soon we will be back in Australia trying to remember what cold ari on your face feels like. Till next time...
