The spacious living room has a beautiful view and a working fireplace
Location: Avon, Northwest, Colorado, USA (Beaver Creek, Eagle Airport, Vail Village 10 minutes away)
Accommodations: House, 4 Bedrooms + No additional sleeping rooms avail, 3.5 Baths (Sleeps 10)
Keywords: House, ski, Beaver Creek, river, single-family
Ski Beaver Creek and enjoy beautiful views of the Eagle River in our newly renovated home! Our property is the closest single-family housing to Beaver Creek. Our ski home will accommodate ten comfortably in bedrooms. The detached house (no noise from other condo tenants) has 2100 square feet on three floors. We have two bedrooms with king-sized beds. In addition, we have one room with two twins, plus “the lair” with four twins, a seating and television area. The Lair is a perfect place for the kids to go so that kids and adults can have separate time. In other words, the adults can enjoy adult beverages and conversation in front of the wood fire while the kids watch mindless movies upstairs!
Avon is a great town at the base of Beaver Creek. You will find everything you need here - restaurants, bars, grocery stores, ski rental, and a public rec center with the works – from a climbing wall to a wading pool and water slides. Avon has all that an actual town will have. Even a Wal-Mart, Office Depot and Pier One. Plus, of course, a Starbucks within walking distance!
Our lovely 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath home has everything you need. We are in the town of Avon, so we are much more economically-priced than lodging in Vail or Beaver Creek. However, we are on the Town of Avon bus route, so you can get everywhere you need without a car. Beaver Creek is free on the bus, or catch a bus to Vail for $4.00. The Vail bus stop is a block away.
We have rented often, so we know some questions to ask.
• Do the owners use the house, or is it only a rental? We use the house frequently, so we have fine linens, quality cookware, and enough flatware, plates and glasses. We also have comfortable beds (with top-quality mattresses - same as the W Hotel) and furniture.
• What about NOISE??? A dirty little secret about the Vail Valley is that many houses have a lot of traffic noise from I-70 or US-6. We are insulated from both. You can enjoy tranquility and beautiful views of the Eagle River, while still being less than 5 minutes from I-70. Also, because our home is a free-standing house you won't be listening to other people above, below or to the side of you.
• Will we be on top of each other? NO! We have a first-floor living area with a fireplace, plus a zone on the third floor where we send the kids. Both areas have 40 inch LCD flat screen TVs.
• Can I park my car? Yes. The house has dedicated parking, plus there is ample visitor parking.
• Can I get to the ski hill for free? Absolutely yes. The free Town of Avon bus runs all day. It will take you to the Beaver Creek Gondola which will deposit you on the mountain.
• May I bring my pet? Yes, your well-behaved, housebroken pet is welcome. We will ask for an additional security deposit. We do have a restriction - the total pet weight may not be over 40 pounds. That means two small dogs or one medium sized one.
• Can I do my laundry? Yes, of course. We spend a lot of time here. There is a washer and dryer.
• Argh! I have to work! - Fear not. Sometimes we have to work, too, and it's better to work in the mountains than to work anyplace else. We have wired and wireless high-speed internet connections, a desk and a printer. If you gotta work, you can work here.
• May I smoke in your house? Of course not!
Some other amenities – The house has a steam shower, which is wonderful after a day on the slopes. We also have a Jacuzzi tub. A fireplace warms the living room (and adds some romance!). We have high-speed internet, plus Wi-Fi. You can plug your iPod into our excellent audiophile grade system. We have an internet radio, so you can listen to your favorite radio station. We have salt and pepper and spices and a garlic press. We also have a very nice Weber grill. We have down throws for curling up in front of the television. You can feel comfortable living here.

Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2007
Our family lives in Denver, so we are able to come up to Avon frequently. We have dogs, and we like to bring them with us, so we understand that you might like to bring your pet, also!
Why the Owner Chose Avon
There is no skiing like Vail and Beaver Creek. In addition, the Rocky Mountains are beautiful all year around. We like to hike, fish, and just sit and look at the Eagle River.

My wife and I stayed there over the Xmas holidays in 2011 and we loved it. The owners were easy to work with and helpful. The house is big enough for two families and is centrally located. We would recommend this place for a family get together, open floor plan for living room/dining room was great for spending time together. Quiet area of Avon too. Easy drive to Vail or bus to Beaver Creek is just a 2 minute walk away.
Owner response:Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed yourselves. You are welcome back any time.
Recommended for:Pet owners, families with teenagers, families with young children.
