This large apartment displays a splendid view of Saint Peter’s cathedral (San Pietro). It is located within the central district of Rione Prati, close to the Vatican. The district is named Rione Prati to remind us that before the beginning of the 20th century, the Castle Sant'Angelo was surrounded with prairies (‘prati’).
The apartment is perfectly located to visit most of ancient Rome’s monuments, famous churches, and the historical sights of Medieval and Renaissance Rome. A wide range of restaurants, cinemas, museums and shops are all at walking distance.

I highly recommend this apartment, the view, the walk to the Vatican, and the wonderful owners. The apartment has been in the family for many decades and is well kept. We found the premises clean and quiet. It was perfect for our family of 7, including 5 teenagers. The view, oh the view. If you want a room with a view, these pictures are very accurate. My family was delighted. I thank Mr and Mrs for their excellent help when we had to make a visit to the doctor on Christmas Eve. They were above and beyond caring for their renters. Please do not hesitate to rent here, but not when I want to go back to Roma. It was perfect for us. Grazie mille!

Good value and comfortable, clean accommodation, close to transport links including subway, local shops. and restaurants. Very close for visiting the Vatican City, superb view of the Basilica. Good neighbourhood, owners very helpful and gave advice where we asked for it, even waited up late in the evening to welcome us from a late arrival. Added to our enjoyment of a very happy trip to Rome. I would happily recommend this apartment.

Not only was this as described, it was even better. (Always a pleasant surprise) The view was amazing, the rooms were large (very large) and airy. Good light, comfortable beds, great neighborhood, it was absolutely charming. I was simply delighted. I can more than reccommend this property. I had a wonderful time on this visit to Rome and having such a great place to come home to each night was a nice little bonus. I took my tea out to the balcony every morning and just sighed and enjoyed the view. At night, I would stand here for an half hour, just admiring the lights on the basilica. I had actually booked this because of the view, and had been afraid it wouldn't be a good a view as it looked on the pictures. Oh, and close to the subway if you need it. Don't hesitate to book here!

The listing diescrption was not accurate. The apartment is not close to the Vatican but one mile from the entrance. The lift does not go to the ground floor, so one has to walk up one flight of stairs to get to the lift. The balcony was not accessable due to construction. The bathroom had mold in it and ran out of hot water very quickly. The owner refused to make any adjustment in the rent due to construction. We were woken up every morning at 7am with people working on the facade of the building. I would NEVER recommend this apartment to anyone.

Why you have not contacted me for a change of apartment or report problems?The work of the façade of the building were sudden and not dependent on the owners. After I have known you asked for a discount but the price was already very low. About the position is written not far from the Vatican (and in fact you can see St. Peter's); if it were on Vaticano we would have written " City Vatican" and no "Rome". Anyway I'm very sorry; it is the first time that some people is not happy for this apartment; I'm really sorry Luciana

Dear Mr and Mrs, We hope you found the apartment in good order. We enjoyed our short holiday very much. Your apartment is very comfortable and in a very good location. It was nice to wake up in the morning and admire St. Peter's dome. We also liked to watch the swallows that made nests on the house opposite. Thank you again for letting us to stay in your place.
