Welcome to the beautiful vacation home: Goose Bay. Situated in the pines of North Main with views of two ponds and the Chincoteague Bay, it is only about a mile from downtown shops and an easy three to four mile bike ride to Assateague Island.
Goose Bay was built in 2007 and features a first floor bedroom and two bedrooms and a loft on the second floor. Each bedroom has its own bath…this home easily sleeps 8. The living room has a two-story vaulted ceiling and a wood burning fireplace. Each bedroom has a deck and there is a first floor screened porch. Each room features fabulous views. The living room looks west where the sun can be seen setting over two ponds which are frequently inhabited by geese.
The house is perfect for the whole family or just the two of you. Goose Bay is near several other rental properties, making it ideal for reunions or other group events.

Goose Bay - home away from home

We recently rented Goose Bay for one week. The house was lovely, exactly as described, clean and well-maintained. The overall experience was better than I'd imagined. Staying for the week were two couples and a single man; we're all related, so yes, I would recommend this place to relatives! It was great to each have our own bathroom. The views of the bay and the pond were so relaxing. Part of the week was "buggy" so we made good use of the screened porch. The refrigerator was of ample size, and the kitchen also boasts a microwave, toaster oven, and coffeemaker along with an oven and smooth-top cooktop. There was plenty of glassware, silverware, plates, etc. and cooking vessels and utensils. Pillows were provided, along with blankets and comforters. There were also bath mats in each bath, and kitchen towels and dishcloths were in the kitchen. We brought our own bed linens and towels. We all awoke early because of the light streaming in the bedrooms, but the overall effect was light and airy. There was plenty of parking for the three vehicles. The TV is by DirecTV satellite dish; one TV has a DVD player connected. The high-speed internet wi-fi worked very well. I just love Chincoteague, with its proximity to Assateague and the ponies, the ice cream places, Wallops Island NASA facility, and great fresh oysters and crab. Having such a nice place to stay was the icing on the cake!
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, age 55+, pet owners, sightseeing, families with young children.
