The house was the perfect size for our group of 5 adults and 2 children and had everything we needed for an incredibly relaxing week. It was very easy to get to the Magic Kingdom, plenty of restaurants and shopping in the area, and staying in and cooking a meal or two was extremely easy in the great kitchen and dining room. The best part was the pool and hot-tub, always a great way to finish off the day, or let the kids burn off some extra energy. I don't think I could do Disney trip any other way, it was a great place to recharge.

All we can say is "WOW". Myself and my 2 children and my friend and her 3 children spent a week in this amazing house during our trip to Orlando. We all loved the house. It was so nice to come home to at the end of the day and NOT feel like we are stepping on each other. We were very busy that week so we did not have the time to use everything. The kids biggest complaint is that they didn't get to spend enough time in our own private pool. Since we were two moms travelling alone with our kids, having the house in a gated community was great. Our kids got to know the security guard that was at the gate most nights and would all roll down the window to say "GOOD EVENING SUNSHINE!!!" to him as we drove in. DEB was amazing and answered all of our questions and offered us suggestions about where to eat and shop. She even send our kids some little disney gifts which were great for getting the kids excited for our trip. I will most definately suggest this house to family and friends going to Orlando and will stay there again if I go back -- Thank you DEB for everything. Family Fun for all Ages

Great time had by all, from Grandparents to Grandchildren. Very kid friendly-stocked with books and toys that were perfect for our toddler. Kids bedroom came with bed rail (a plus for small children), plus there were outlet covers and a baby gate! Pool and home are well maintained. Washer hose became clogged, but promptly repaired by local property manager while we enjoyed the day at Disney. Perfect for people who want to get away from the constant, high-pressure "on-property" theme park resort experience. Grocery, Target, and a variety of meal choices nearby. Easy driving distance to all Disney parks. Hope to return in 2014.

My husband and I treated our daughter, son-in-law and 2 teenagers to a trip to Disney in Jan 2012. This was the first time we had used vrbo and would do it again - especially this (#20768) rental vacation home. It is fully, and I mean fully, furnished beautifully as well as being close to restaurants, food markets, Disney, Sea World, etc. There isn't a thing Deb has not thought of to completely fulfill our every need. The privacy and security in this gated community is certainly a plus and the security system in the home made us feel very secure. The 4 bedrooms and 3 baths added to our privacy, especially with 2 teenagers (13 year old boy and 15 year old girl) and the floor plan of the home is well thought out. The pool and hottub were so much fun for everyone and it was used every night when we returned from our park excursions. Deb was very accommodating and helpful since we have never done the privately owned rental before. Every time I emailed her with another question she was very prompt to answer. We would rent this place again in a heartbeat. It's not hard to leave a hotel room after 6 days but it was difficult leaving this gorgeous home to return to MN!! Just looking at the pictures again make us want to do a return visit.

The Perfect Vacation

This was a great place to stay!! It was so close to everything. Restaurants, groceries and particularly the Disney parks. We loved the area we stayed in. The neighborhood was very quiet and secure. The rooms were awesome. My 7 year old loved the pool. Every day when we got back from the parks he was in his swimming suit and in the pool before we even got in the door. It was so nice to come back to a spacious home where we had plenty of room and didn't feel like we were tripping over each other. My daughter enjoyed the presents Deb left for us. It was great to have it all decorated for Christmas. The kids loved the Disney Channel. Deb & The emerald palace definitely were a big factor in making our Christmas Vacation truly a perfect vacation.

Very well taken care of property and house. Maybe five minutes from Disney attractions, and close to restaurants, gas, and groceries. Don't refill your rental car close to the airport $$$. Owner was very help full and honest.

This was an amazing house to stay in. We travel to Myrtle Beach every year for the past 25 years and we have never stayed in a home as nice as this one. Deb was amazing. She sent our three little ones 2 rounds of gifts. The house has everything you could ever need. Deb truly thinks of everything you could possibly need. We will definitely be staying at their home the next time we visit Disney.

Immediately upon entering the home you get a feeling cleanliness. The kitchen is very, very well stocked. I brought my crock-pot only to find one there! Looking out the sliding glass doors to the pool was a real positive surprise. There were no homes to be seen but natural flora. What I would consider the fourth bedroom, the other one with its own bath, was exceptionally quiet.....a great place for a grandparent(s). Responce time to any issues were quick and resolved. I enjoyed working with the owners, they are hands on and children friendly. Hopefully we will be able to return and would willingly do so. Thank you for sharing Debbie and David.

The home was clean when we arrived. The resort and the home are meticulously maintained. Lawns were neat, bushes trimmed. The children came home from the Disney parks each evening and got in the pool! There are plenty of restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping nearby.

We all enjoyed the pool and beautifully decorated and well kept house. The children appreciated the dvd player in the twin room with the princess wand remote. Washer dryer and strollers were a great addition. The resort staff were very helpful and the grounds, pools and playgrounds were great. Our stay at this great rental home couldn't have been more perfect. There were 9 of us, 5 younger kids and 4 adults but we still had more than enough room for everyone. This home is very spacious, and nicely decorated and clean. Everything you could possibly need is there. It was wonderful to be able to come home from the parks and throw a load of laundry in and relax by the pool. The kids loved the pool as much as they enjoyed Disney. There are many, many good restaurants and shopping centres nearby. It is really only 10 minutes from Disney. We would recommend this home and hope to be able to come back again for another stay. What a great home! It was so nice to come home from a long day of walking and fighting the crowds of Disney to spread out and relax, take a swim or sit in the hot tub. We stayed at this home for a once in a lifetime excursion with 2 families. We had 4 adults and 4 children and PLENTY of room. Everything this home claims on its description is true! We had ample room for us all, the pool was heated so that the children could enjoy it during the cold snap. It truly was only 5 minutes from Disney, 10 minutes from Sea World and about 15 from Univeral Studios, depending on traffic. It was a great place for a morning swim and recovery after a long day. The washer and dryer was especially useful with 4 children playing hard. We have rented several times from VRBO and have never been disappointed and it happened again here. The house was very clean without being too pretentious. The house is actually larger than it apears in the photos. It's a perfect place for a family get-away.

We decided on a quick Disney getaway after the holidays. The owner sent us maps for the area, Disney parks, and even special treats for our children. The pool was a nice relaxing option after walking all day at the Disney parks. We plan on renting this house again the next time we visit Disney, which will probably be sooner rather than later!

This was our all-inclusive Christmas gift to our family. We thoroughly enjoyed your well maintained home. I wasn't sure that it would live up to the many positive comments we read about it but it was exactly as other families described it. We wanted for nothing! Our 4 yr old Grandson now refers to your home as "our Florida home" which it really was for those 7 days. We also appreciated your thoughtfulness with the gifts for both us and, especially, our Grandson. Dealing with you personally was unexpected and very much appreciated. We visited Disney, Olive Garden, Golden Corral and the Outback. The outlet shopping malls were phenomenal!! We thoroughly enjoyed the pool and hot tub after our full day of activites. This was an excellent place to stay for our family of 10. Clean as a whistle and fully equipped with everything possible. We would highly recommend to anyone. Proximity to everything was a real plus. Any family should consider staying here rather than in the park. We have never rented any place where the owners were so conscientious about their property and followed through on everything. Nov. 8-22/2010 Our family had a wonderful time staying at this property. The home is exactly the way it appears in the pictures on the web site. The kids ( and adults ) absolutely loved the pool/hot tub and it was a great way to relax after being at the parks all day. The property is very well maintained. There are many good restaurants only a few minutes from the home and it is located very close to the Disney theme parks. The home is very well equipped and there are plenty of games and pool toys for the kids. I would absolutely recommend this property to family and friends.

This house exceeded our expectations totally!!! The beds were very comfortable there was a lot of towels and linens available, very comfortable sofas and outdoor furniture. There were 4 adults and 4 children 9 to 31/2. We never felt crowded or confined. The pool was great and the kids loved it when we got back from the parks. Disney parks are less than 10 minutes. There is a lot of stores nearby. Walmart and Super Target. Real close by is a small shopping center with an Outback, Chinese and a Winn Dixie. Deb was great to work with and helped with any questions we had. Needless to say we all had a great time and Cook properties helped make that possible. We hope to do it again next year.

We loved the house! It was in a great location...very close to Disney parks and SeaWorld. The house was clean and even decorated for Halloween. My daughter and son loved the jungle room and the pool. The planning guide was essential in planning our trip, and the kids loved the treats in the mail before our trip. The little stuffed Mickey and Pooh were just another example of how Deb and her husband go above and beyond to make your trip special. It was wonderful to be able to come "home" after a long day at the parks and be able to make dinner and sit around the table together. There were 5 adults and 2 children in our group and we had plenty of room to spread out. We would definitely come back to this superb listing.

Absolutely Perfect!

Initially I was a little nervous about renting through VRBO, never having the experience of doing so before now. But the home exceeded our expectations and was so welcoming after spending almost 17 hours travel time. There was a total of 4 of us, and we were able to spread out without being crammed into a hotel room for a week. My husband and son especially loved the private pool and jacuzzi, 'it was the perfect way to end the day' after spending most days at amusement parks. I loved the fact that I could watch and hear my husband and son enjoying life in the pool, while I was working in the kitchen. We enjoyed eating out from time to time, but you do get tired of that after a while, so having a full kitchen to fix homecooked meals in was defintley a plus for us. My experience renting through Cook's Property was even better than I had hoped for. I have nothing but good things to say about the entire process. Deb was wonderful, very helpful and prompt at returning all my emails and phone calls. This was our first trip to Florida and Deb assured me everything was going to be perfect. And it was! Deb, When we return to the area, we will be checking here first. Thanks again for everything.

What can I say!! My family had a blast. Perfect for two families to share

Our two families (including 4 adults and 5 children) shared this home for one week. It was perfect! The pool is excellent for younger kids (our youngest two were 7 and 8) as well as the teens. The house was clean and the beds comfortable. Having the use of washer and dryer were a huge help in being able to pack lighter too. An overall super experience! It is also very, very conveniently located close to the Disney parks. The owner is wonderful to work with, accessible and ready to answer any questions and provide needed info. We had a great week at the Emerald Palace! The house is beautiful; fully appointed and Deb has made sure that guests have EVERYTHING they could posssibly need. We had six full days at WDW and Universal and were able to come home to the cool pool, comfortable settings and inviting beds. The house is about 10-15 minutes from Disney and about 25 minutes from Universal making it a perfect location. Shopping and restaurants are nearby. Deb has truly thought of everything and made us feel like we were right at home. It was hard to leave after a week. I enthusiastically recommend this home as a place to stay when visiting Orlando (Disney, Universal, Sea World). It is clean, bright and beautifully appointed. Deb even sent my daughters some gifts to make their stay even more memorable. This is a first class home with owners who sincerely care that your stay will be enjoyable and memorable. We look forward to a future visit!

Disney Dream Vacation

Our grandchildren's first Disney World experience was a success due to this beautiful home we stayed in. Every need was anticipated and provided for. We looked forward to the wonderful pool every evening when we returned and sometimes the grandsons were begging to go home from the park to swim! We grilled one night and cooked dinner in the kitchen a couple evenings. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean! I encourage others looking for a comfortable, clean, home away from home to check into the Cook's property. From the begining of the process to the end the process was was a breeze. Thanks to the Cook's this vacation will be repeated and we will be staying again!

We had a wonderful Family trip to Disneyworld for the first time. We stayed at this Beautiful House in Emerald Island Resort. The house was a big plus to our family trip. The house was so clean, beautiful, and pool was a plus for the grandchildren. A friend recommeded this house because there family stayed here and we would highly recommmed it to any family or relative. The photo's on the web site are very accurate but when you step inside the house it is more than you can imagine. Everything is top quality. Thanks Deb for making our trip very memorable.

We are rookies to the whole family vacation scene. This being possibly our one BIG endeavor we wanted to make certain it went as smoothly and still maintained some cost control. After looking into doing a hotel off Disney and the accommodations at Disney I investigated VRBO listings. After browsing I came across the Emerald Island Resort listing (Deb's place) and because of the massive number of reviews started to check it out. If you want to relax and be able to spread out when NOT touring I can't recommend a home vs a hotel enough. We spent one night in a hotel because of flight scheduling issues and with 3 kids, my wife and myself in the same room even for only a few hours it was miserable. The decision to stay in a home where the kids could play in the pool (close to the house) and we could relax on the sofa or lay down and watch them from the master BR. This was the best decision we made the whole vacation. Fixing your meals vs eating out and having the flexibility of WHEN you eat also is a big plus not to mention 3 BATHROOMS vs a single in a hotel. We could do some laundry so we weren't hauling home a load of work after a tiring week of running from park to park. Overall, a house is SO much more convenient IF you find the right one!! We were extremely pleased with Deb's home. Deb practices that old discipline of customer service wonderfully. She was very prompt in replying to any emails or calls and the house was emaculate. The pool is about 2' deep to 5 1/2' deep. It is not a big pool but it is great for our kids especially. Deb has every pool toy you could possibly need and they had a blast. Each bedroom has a TV for the evenings and rainy times. The kitchen is stocked with all the utensils you could possibly need and the 3 bathrooms were a great blessing. Check in and check out were simple and convenient. If we were ever able to do another Orlando area vacation we would definitely use this property again. It is very unnerving trusting your plans and money to a person you have met through ANY website. This is a trustworthy property owner and I feel the only way to see the parks which are 7-8 miles away (parking). You don't know much about the hotel you will get unless you have someone to offer insight and the cost for a moderate to economy Disney site plus tickets is comparable to staying at this property and purchasing tickets separately and the money we saved on food was massive. Please investigate staying at a home.

Wonderful Experience - Beautiful Home

We visited this home the week of 5/29 to 6/5. From the moment we entered the home, we knew our week would be great. The home is beautiful; so much more than the photos. It was a great place for the 8 of us to relax and enjoy our vacation. The grandkids were in the pool every morning before we headed to Disney, and every evening when we returned. It is wonderful to be able to stay somewhere that offers so much; privacy, security, and comfort.

We stayed from May 21-26. Ms. Cook has thought of everything - strollers, high chairs, utensils, appliances, televisions, Fast WiFi, a wired desktop computer (with printer) for your use, toys, books, Foosball table, Washer and Dryer, Pool, Hot Tub, clean, quiet, and spacious. This is in a nice gated community with a pool that has drink service (if you want to leave the pool at the house). There is also a shuttle to the parks available for $11 per person ($30 cab ride for up to 6 people as well - one way) Winn Dixie and Outback are right there...Animal Kingdom gate is less than 3 minutes (at most) away. If you are flying in this is the place to stay - no need to pack a stroller or pack and play (crib). Place is ready to go with all kiddie essentials. WE WILL BE BACK!!

I would recommend this home for your Disney Vacation. This home is in a quiet gated community. It is spacious and beautifully decorated. Everything is very neat and clean. The home is stocked with all the amenties you will need to enjoy their pool, outdoor dining area, and spacious kitchen. The pool is great with a lanai and very safe for children, with a safety fence installed. From prior to booking to after returning home from our vacation the owner, Debbie, was informative and very helpful. She sent us detailed information about the home and the gated community before arriving. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. We will definitly call Debbie again for our future vacations to WDW and the Orlando area and recommend to friends and family! Debbie, thank you so much for assisting in making our vacation great!

We stayed at the Emerald Palace in March '10 for our 6 year old son's first trip to Disney. The home was just awesome and really had everything we needed and was located just a short trip to the parks we visited. We loved the safari themed room for our son and of course he loved the pool as well as the Foosball table. Swimming and playing games were a way to wind down from tiring days at the parks. We flew in to Sanford airport which is an hour drive and easy to get on the highway to and from. We will definitely stay at the home again and we especially like the area with the restaurants, grocery, and some mini-golf and the house is just in a nice quiet community without the hustle and bustle of being right at Disney.

This home was perfect for our stay in the Orlando area! Close proximity to all the theme parks, although by the 6th day some of us played hooky from the theme parks so we could relax around the pool! Very comfortable, safe, all the amenities you might want. This home absolutely MADE our trip. A wonderful place to "home base" out of and come "home" to. The Cooks were so great to work with and so accomodating. Staying here was a very positive experience! Highly recommended!

We had an excellent stay at Emerald Place. Deb's home was filled with warm amenities for our grandchildrn as well as for the adults. There is nothing better than a hot tub for your aching muscles after a day at Disney. The home is well stocked and is conveniently located near Disney and many restaurants. The house is beautiful, just right for our family. I was very impressed by all the cooking pots and pans, tons of extra towels, robes, 5 tvs, ect ect. And, we absolutely loved the pool and spa. It is close to everything. We definitely want to go back. A big thanks to the Cooks for all the extras for our 4 year old.

This was a perfect property, and our family had a great trip together! The location being so close to Disney made it ideal for going back and forth to the parks, so our son could nap. The spa was a lovely treat for the grown- ups at the end of the day. The home itself has a wonderful combination of social spaces so that a large group can separate for games and fun without disturbing others in the family room or bedrooms. Also - the 2nd ensuite bathroom was a wonderful plus. We are so thrilled to have found this, and can't wait to return next year. Thank you!!

We returned last week from this home. We were so pleased! They provided so many "extras," such as books, movies, a playstation, and board games. Not to mention the pool and hot tub. We spent our days at the Disney Parks, but by 2-3 every afternoon, our 3 boys were asking to go "home," so they could swim and play at the house. You don't need to bring anything but clothes and food--they have EVERYTHING else (including potty seats, a baby monitor, and strollers!) We've stayed at many VRBO rentals before, but this home was the most well-stocked, child-friendly home we've ever stayed in. Thanks for sharing!

My family and I just returned from a week at the Emerald Palace. It is a wonderful home, meticulously decorated yet all the comforts of home with an immediate "ah, I'm at home" feeling. The pictures are this site are completely accurate! I was referred by a friend who had stayed there and I will be recommending this home to my family and friends. If you are traveling with a large party, and don't want to spend the expensive rates to stay on resort, this is the place to stay when traveling to Disney World. Deb is the most thoughtful and wonderful owner as well. She is a delight to work with and makes all the children feel a special Disney welcome. I am so glad we stayed here and not on the resort! I’ll be staying here again when it comes time for us to visit Disney again!

We stayed at this property Oct 17-24, it was a a fabulous vacation. We had our two children and their families with us and we celebrated my oldest granddaughter's 8th birthday. We especially appreciated the location as we did not even have to go on to a major highway to find restaurants and shopping. We stayed at your home - with my daughter, her husband and my two grandsons- and I can't say enough about how wonderful our stay was. The house is beautiful and you thought about everything a family would need while vacationing. My oldest grandson is still talking about it and still sleeping with his Mickey that you sent him. Hi we can not describe enough our surprise and pleasure when we saw this beautiful house. It has exceeded all our expectations and imagination. The experience actually starts with booking when Debbie sends the wonderful welcome information package which also includes lots of goodies for the kids. Once we arrived at the house we felt immediately like at our own home. The more we stayed the more we have fallen in love with the house and its surrounding neighborhood. Each morning we took short walks in the park trail, enjoyed drinking our coffees by the pool and watch the sun come up before heading to the theme parks. I think my two girls (11 and 6) rather stayed home all day long in the pool rather than tackling the challenges of the theme parks! Surely it was a sad moment to depart but now we know in our hearts and minds we also have a "home-away-from-home" in Orlando. Thank you so much for everything. Dilshener Family
