    Our family was so thankful for the time spent together while at the Villa. We liked it so much last time we were sold on booking it again.Our family wishes to extend a Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family and say "Thank You" for a fantastic place to stay at. Your place is so beautiful and welcoming that we all felt very much at home while there. I actually caught fish just outside of the Villa .....the launch at the park is not all the far away and is easy access. I positioned the boat just off the stumps as you look out the windows to the right. It would be a great selling point to let people know this. My family watched from the deck as I caught fish as they took pictures from that vantage point, which made it all the much more fun.

    This property is always such a delight to walk into. The view from the windows facing west out over the open water is just magnificient! It just takes my breath. Continues to be well cared for. Furnishings are very pretty and well maintained. Makes for an exceptional stay. My very favorite place on Toledo Bend.

    We enjoyed the villa very much. Great view nicely furnished. Grandkids played and slept in downstairs room and all 8 adults had a nice bedroom with private bath. Perfect for our family.we will go again.

    Our family planned our mother's 90th birthday celebration at Cypress Bend since it was only a few hours from home. She never dreamed she would have top-notch accomodations that this villa offered and an awesome view of the lake. Being confined to a wheelchair, she never had to leave the comfort of the villa to enjoy her family, the food, and most of all the awesome sunsets! . The kids loved every minute at the pool and being there mid-week was like having our own private pool. The local wildlife, including red foxes, racoons, deer and bald eagles, intrigued our city-slickers from California who joined our celebration. My sister-in-law who cannot tolerate Louisiana heat and humidity, found herself quite content in the master bedroom chair that had a fabulous view of the lake and read her books with her California wine in hand. She was a happy villa camper! The teens claimed the basement as their own and named it the "Dungeon" but loved having their own place to play video games and listen to their own music. The adults liked this concept as well! The reviews proved right with very comfortable matresses and private baths. There are actually 4 and 1/2 baths and the half bath off the living room is very accomodating for a wheelchair. Our family boated and fished the lake daily, our son-in-law did a deep water dive, the guys played a round of golf and, the kids swam, rode bikes and even had a water balloon fight.The women cooked and kept everyone well fed. The kitchen is wonderfully stocked with everything you need and had the finests pots I have ever seen in a rental. We would like to thank the owner for allowing us to use his beautiful villa for the special celebration of Mom's 90th birthday. And for all who saw the pictures posted via electronic media, we were proud to answer the question, "Where are ya'll ?" with a quick and honest answer, "WE ARE ON BAILEY'S BLUFF AT CYPRESS BEND on TOLEDO and YES, THAT IS IN LOUISIANA"!! As my Mom repeated over and over all week, " I've never seen anything so pretty in all my life". It was an amazing experience so close to home.

    My family and I visited the villa this past weekend. We had an AMAZING time. The view was absolutely breathtaking. There were 9 people in my party and we had plenty of room inside the villa. There are even two dining tables, which was great as it accommodated my entire family. Each room has its own bathroom, which was also wonderful. The mattress' were EXTREMELY comfortable which made for a good night's sleep. My family is anxious about returning. I would highly recommend this villa to anyone.

    Our family had the pleasure of staying in Villa 1 while in Louisiana to attend a wedding. The villa was beautiful and the views breathtaking! We had 8 adults in our party and there was plenty of room for everyone.

    My family and I had a great time. We took advantage of the walking on the trails and golf course. We really enjoyed the pool provided for all the guest. Would have love worked out in the exercise room, but because of others not respecting other peoples property, that had to be discontinued. Only thing was I was disappointed in was that they did not have a boat rental place. My son was looking forward to skiing and did not get too.

    The best part of our family vacation to Toledo Bed was staying at Villa 1.. The villa is absolutely georgeous and the view is beyond compare. The property around the villa is well maintained and we felt very safe. The golf course is within walking distance and is top notch.

    We were thoroughly pleased with the accommodations for our family vacation. Our four daughters attend diffeerent colleges so it is not often that we can all get together for an extended time period. The furnishings made our stay so comfortable. And, whoever the decorator is - keep her (or him)! The view was fantastic - just oved raising the blinds every morning to look at the water! We're already planning our next trip!

    This was an excelent choice for my family of 5. We enjoyed the professionally decorated Villa perfectly located on Bailey's Bluff above the Lake. The views were tremendous as you could see a major portion of the lake from Pendelton Bridge to the north to Rebel Ridge to to the south. Each bedroom has its on full bathroom which makes life easy for all your guest. The large main room has enough seating for evryone to be really comfortable while enjoying the panoramic view. It's not your ordinary lake house, so be prepared to be surprised. It will also be a favorite of mine.

    We stayed for a girl's weekend and we had a wonderful time. With 7 women in the mix, we all had comments on the BEAUTIFUL decor and oh so comfy beds! No one was ready to leave but alas had to get back to reality. We are planning another trip but want to stay much longer next time. Thank you for the relaxing get away in such a beautiful villa.

    First of all, the scenic trip there to Don’s villa at Toledo Bend was great. We selected the Nov 19-22 of 2011 as our Fall and Thanksgiving/Christmas with the boys, wives and grandsons get together. What a surprise we had with the beautiful and picturistic views from the living room…..WOW !!! The website does nothing to capture the beauty of this lake and its shorelines. The kitchen is every chef’s dream to prepare meals. Believe us when we say “you have plenty of room to move around” in this villa. Gorgeous rooms and large bathrooms as well with a multi-floor plan gave everyone plenty of privacy. The outdoor deck on the lower level is where most of us spent our sunsets while there. Absolutely perfect in every way…beautifully furnished with taste I might add. Thank you Don for a great weekend with the family.

    Just spent a long weekend in Villa 1 and had a great time. The villa is very upscale and probably has the best view in the development. The water is extremely low and fishing from the gazebo was impossible. We did not get a guide to take us out but instead played two days of golf. The course and facilities are top rate and we may return just for the golf (we are not really golfers). Great rental and great weekend.

    The house has a view of Toledo bend that cannot be beat. The house is very clean and well kept. I plan on going there again as soon as I can.

    My family of four and another family of four stayed at Villa #1 and had a wonderful, relaxing time. There was more than enough room, the villa was exactly as Don promised it would be. The adults in our group couldn't get enough the amazing view of the lake. We will definitely be back!

    we truly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful lake home. the panoramic view was stunning! the accommodations were wonderful, nicely furnished living areas, comfy beds, well-stocked kitchen, great lake-side deck. the adjacent resort was very nice; we enjoyed exceptional spa services. i would highly recommend this spot for family and friends.

    What a GORGEOUS home. Everything was furnished so beautifully, it felt like we were staying at a 5 star hotel instead of a lake house. The rooms are spacious and everything is top of the line. It rained everyday we were there, but we still really enjoyed every minute of it. Will definitely come back next summer, hopefully for a longer stay. Let us know if you're ever in the market to sell :)

    Everything about this place is top notch - from the million dollar view, to the comfortable beds and the granite countertops. We watched two eagles soaring nearby over the lake, at one time fighting over a fish. We are looking forward to another stay and will tell all of our friends.

    Don,My stay was awesome! The villa is very spacious and the amenities are incredible. The view of the lake from inside reminded me of a beach house view. The golf course is in great shape and the lay out is one of my favorites of any course that I've played at in Louisiana. Look forward to going back again!

    Don,The stay in the Toledo Bend Villa last weekend (October 17th–18th) was so relaxing and refreshing. The accommodations were above expectations. I loved the layout of unit and the view of the lake from the back porch. The golf course was so unique in the sense that I have never been privilege to play on a course that produced the challenge of different elevations and landscapes as this course. Having the lake view and seeing all the wildlife (especially the deer) on the course was an added bonus. Thanks you very much and will be looking forward to a spring trip. Berley

    This weekend was a perfect getaway. The villa was extremely comfortable with amazing views of the lake. I can't think of another place like this in the East Texas/West Louisiana area. The golf course was in great shape. My buddies are asking when we can go back.
