I wish I could express how in just one week I have come to love this place. Amazing beaches, incredible drinks and food, Lucy's fish tacos and homemade ice cream. Everything has been absolutely incredible. The Akumal Dive Center is the only place to go for snorkeling and scuba. The nicest people, more than accomodating. And Christina and Luis are absolute dolls, so sweet and always smiling. I can't wait to come back and I hope that you enjoy your stay here as much as I did.

It's only day 2 of our stay in Akumal and we already want to move here. Christina and Luis are wonderful! Definitely recommend La Cueva del Pascador. Make time for Cenotes. They are unreal. Our favorite was the cliff diving cenote by Coba. A full hour of jumping off a 45 foot ledge left us a little sore, but the experience was worth it. Absouletly recommend the Akumal Dive Cener. Has the most amazing family vibe. They truly went out of their way and gave amazing recommendations.

What a wonderful vacation! We spent most of our time in Akumal - lots of good food and drinks, walks on the beach and rocks, snorkeling and most importantly, lots of relaxation. We found ourselves camped on the porch with good books on most of our days here! Our favorite hidden gem of a restaurant was Turtle Bay Bakery. Chrisina's home cooked meals are delicious! Not to be missed! Thank you for the fabulous headquarters for our honeymoon! Already looking forward to coming back soon.

Our first visit to Akumal was wonderful. What a great Mexican village. We will definitely be returning. Highlights of the week included a trip to Yalku Lagoon. Perfect first time snorkeling for our six year old. (Although, due to rainy weather, visibility was a bit low). La Buena Vida was a great restaurant, hammocks especially. Casa Caribe fit our family perfectly. Christina was wonderful and prepared two delicious meals for us. we loved our stay at Casa Caribe and cannot wait to return! What a wonderful world! Thoroughly enjoyed our time at Casa Caribe. Had breakfast and most lunches at house and suppers at Mexican restaurants. Spent a day at Xel Ha and had fun. Must do the river float on tubes, recommend fins. Outstanding value for $80, all food and drinks, and admission. Snorkeling in Akumal BY best around. Took ferry to Cozumel for 1 day and enjoyed bartering and local restaurants. Lines and guacamoles a must and good price. Took time to sit around pool in evening and enjoy the stars. Beautiful weather, 27c to 34c degrees. Boys took fishing trip out of Puerto Adventurus, big boat, nice trip no fish caught. Better off going with someone from local bay so you can bring home supper for the ladies. First day got groceries at Walmart for week. Best value. Akumal Bay our best snorkeling. Keep eye out for resident iguanas that visit the yard. Christina prepared #2, very good, lovely lady. We would like to thank you for sharing your great home with us. We appreciate it greatly. Rented two cars for the week. Jettas from Hertz, air a must. Keep ice made, it's handy for the blender! Thank you! 8 of us, children and grandparents, enjoyed 9 glorious days at Casa Caribe! My husband Jim and I are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. The beautiful home was perfect for us - my parents stayed in the guest house. Christina and Luis were fabulous! Christina and her husband, Juan prepared us a delicious meal Thursday evening. We have traveled to Akumal previously and by far, our favorite restaurant is Pescadora, favorite waiter is Gebson "Texon" - but all the wait staff are fantastic and the margarita ans ceviche are tough to beat! The beach has great snacks too - we did not favor the Super Chomak - shopped at the market directly across he street - it has a laundry service attached - bring your items in morning and pick them up at 6:00 PM. Thank you to our hosts - had a spectacular holiday! guest name: Edwards-Topel guest city-state/province: Richield, MN

Esta bien. Esta bien. Esta bien! Casa Caeibe!! Great place, thank you so much for our stay. Christina was sweet and amazing. Places to go: 1) Cenotes - Hidden worlds * make sure you check out the Labryinthine cenote if you're going to do just one. It's creepy; it's an adventure. Absolutely scuba if that's your bag. 2) Snorkel Akumal beach in the afternoon. Look for the bouys (spelling?) you will find turtles and fishes. 3) Yal Ku Lagoon: You will difinetly pay for your experience - $20 usd. But, it's awesome. Stay to the left. Rocks are big, small caves, lots of fishes. All sizes, all colors - best! 4) La Lunita restaurant is not to be missed. Modern Mexican food executed pretty well and great atmosphere next to beach and you might get free shots of baby viper snake rum. 5) Xcacel beach is the best (private). It's 10 pesos/persona - don't let them charge you more. (a small sign on the highway) 6) Restaurant across from beach has awesome octopus dish. It's always crowded. You will find it. guest name: Erin D.

What a great place to celebrate my 90th birthday with my family. the house was ideally arranged for a large group. Christina's dinners were the best with dishes we did not find in the restaurants. Enjoyed a visit to the Muyil ruins, south of Tulum - part of the Biosphere reserve. No other tourists or craft vendors - almost like when I visited the Yucatan 30 years ago. I was impressed with what was being done ecologically in this area. Wonderful time. It's hard to know what to start with. We have done so many things during this past week, we were even amazed. My husband and 2 kids ages 9 and 2 had a wonderful time. The house was amazing and quite beautiful. We all came with my mother and grandmother. Our other family also joined us for my grandmother's 90th birthday. It was definately something to celebrate. Christina was wonderful! and very sweet. We snorkeled and snorkeled. Turtles were great to see and the coral reef over at Akumal beach was spectacular. Went to Chichen Itza, full day event, if you're planning on going, go early. The lagoon was nice. ( a lot of fish! ) We had a great time. Sad to go. Thank you so much for sharing your place. Hope to come back soon. guest name: Magruder guest city-state/province: North Carolina

We had a great time in Mexico. The house was amazing and Luis and Christina were very sweet. When we were here, we went to Tulum, Yalku Lagoon, Hidden worlds, Casa Cenote, Xel-Ha, and Plya del Carmen. Make sure to go to Akumal beach to see the turtles. Pairiso Beach, just south and east of Tulum ruins is a great place to go if the surf is not too high here. Pizza was a nice change at Blue Sky Hotel near Casa Cenote. Everyone enjoyed jumping off the cliffs of courage at Xel-Ha, even the 8 year old. Hate to leave, but we need to get home to NE. We will miss the great views. Our stay at Casa Caribe was quite peaceful, as others stated, Christina and Luis are very helpful particularly with the I Pod Touch English to Spanish translator app that our teen found. Easy walk to La Buena Vida, a very fun place with or without the kids. We snorkeled at Yal-ku and with the turtles at Akumal bay, our trip was just after a hurricane and the surf was too rough for Half Moon Bay and also led to the beach closing at turtle sanctuary which is not too far south of the main turn off into Akumal, maybe next time. The Tulum ruins beach is gorgeous, we also enjoyed Paradisio beach club just east of Tulum. Also took the kids to Xel-ha, and went to Hidden Worlds, and Casa Cenote. If your are craving american food, there is a wood fired pizza place right next to the latter, which hit the spot after the water. An evening of strolling around Playa del Carmen topped off the stay. It was very easy to get around, the main highway is excellent, we felt very safe with the four kids and car rental. We would not hesitate to return to Casa Caribe and Akumal.

This house is wonderful! The breeze has filled the rooms so there was no need for air conditioners, which I can't stand. Being the eldest, I got to stay in the master and we adored that room, my husband and I. The children all seemed to flow from bedroom to bedroom, to pool, to kitchen, to bedroom. There was plenty of room for 10 of us, some of whom were very little. We swam with the turtles in Akumal Bay. They are right there grazing on the sea weed!! We loved the lagoon up the street, like swimming in a fish tank. Xcaret is fabulous. The fishing is wonderful. The beaches are divine. We absolutely loved it. Thank you for Christina and Luis, and a wonderful house that kept us all cheerful and energized! Some of us go to L.A., some back to Boston and my husband and I back to Martha's Vinyard and a much colder ocean.

Mexico was more than we could have imagined. Every day was a new adventure with better treasures found each day. Casa Caribe was perfect for our two families. My husband and I had the casita and loved it's comfort. The main house is beautiful ans inviting for all. We went off the "tourist track" and explored lots on our own - Akumal Bay for turtles - never seen one eat before. Half Moon Bay - beautiful corals - even saw octopus. Tulum - must see - very beautiful beach - in town as well. Xpu-Ha beach became a favorite for lunch and relaxing. Dos Ojos cenote - best of the 3 we did. Cenote Cristol fun for kids and cliff jumping. All restaurants were delicious. Kids loved to play at La Buena Vida tree houses any time of day. Adults enjoyed Que Onda (kids did too). Lol Ha for lunch at the beach - stuffed hot dogs amazing! Christina and Luis were very helpful and sweet. Have Christina make dinner for you. We loved it and her husband even did all the dishes! Yummy! Roger's suggestions were very helpful and we appreciated all the guidance. We hope to return some day to this great paradise! Thank you! John and Valerie Goether Columbus, Ohio

Got my toes in the water, my ass in the sand, not a worry in the world and a cold beer in my hand. This song by Zac Brown Band perfectly describes our wonderfully relaxing vacation at Casa Caribe. 7 of us and one child spent the week here with side trips to Coba, Tulum, Dos Ojos and Playa del Carmen! In Akumal, though, the best they were ( apart from the house ) the breakfast sandwiches at Turtle Bay Cafe. We rank Akumal landmarks as follows: Turtle Bay Cafe, La Buena Vida, and the beach restaurant (Lol Ha). Yalku was beautiful, but the best snorkeling is in Akumal Bay. Miguel was a fantastic masseur - ask Rhett about him. Christina and Luis were great. Christina's Chili Rellenos and garlic shrimp and keylime pie were amazing meals to have at home! Wednesday we hit karaoke at La Buena Vida, which was fantastic. Check out a dive with Natalie and Ivan for a great and energetic intro to diving in the area. We bought all our groceries in Tulum and used the ATM next door - and it was worth it - but still we ate at La Buena Vida and Turtle Bay Cafe and Lucy's Ice Cream multiple times. The Casa is amazing. The view we woke up to is inspiring and you can't help but get up for the day ahead - even if you go to sleep on the beach. Thank you so much! Sujata (NYC)

The Bay family's last day in Akumal! We've really enjoyed our stay here! So much to do, so little time. Highly recommended= -happy hour at La Buena Vida. Swing it up -Dos Ojos Cenotes - swimming in a cave w/ bats. what's not to love. Bring a wet suit & flashlight or pay up for a guided tour. -Dinner at La Lunita. A bit more pricy, but not a bad thing on the menu. -Breakfast at Turtle Bay. Excellent pastries, among other things. he finest dogs around, I'm sure. -Check out Tulum. Just down the road - fun town. Very Akumal - goes to - Woodstock - in - Mexico. -Go across the highway & buy yourself some tocos at Lucy's, Delicioso. Wish I'd had more time to check out that area - the real Akumal. -Snorkling was excellent just about everywhere. Best underwater flora and fauna = Half Moon Bay. Turtles and sting rays about night at Akumal Bay - go later in the afternoon & stay close to the buoys. The lagoon is nice too, but you'll certainly pay for your time and might get a few friendly fish bites. We loved it! Bay - Family approved! Thanks for a great week. Liz Wagner and the Bays

All I can say is wow! and a big thank you. We had a wonderful time here at Casa Caribe & Akumal. The Staff has been wonderful & we fell in love with Christina, she is a wonderful cook. We went to the Tulum ruins, very cool. If you go pay extra for a guide & ask for Diego, he's a funny little guy, but he knows what he's talking about. The ocean is beautiful. We hate to leave and go back to Kansas. I would like to thank my brother, Dirk for asking us to come help him celebrate his 50th birthday on the beaches in Mexico. It was truly a vacation I will never forget. Thank You, Roger & Shelby Chase Derby, Kansas

As always, Akumal was a great time, it's great to get out of the snow and come to the tropics. Yal Ku is amazing. Go in the morning before the tour buses get there. Very Peaceful. 20 min toward Tulum is the turtle sanctuary beach which is beyond words. Peace, beauty and serenity. But goof luck finding the turn off. It's not marked and a dirt road leads to the beach. Cross the highway and go into the real town. The food is amazing and cheap. also the grocery store is much cheaper as well. Look for the lady on the right side of the road headed in almost at the top of the hill. She has the best BBQ chicken you'll ever eat. Casa caribe is amazing, peaceful and calming. Ziggy is great fun to watch and share breakfast with. Look under the water heater early in the morning. Everyone is very friendly here, but beware of the gas attendants. They are very tricky and will try to play games with you and your money while you fill up. Ben and Amber - Denver Jen - NY

Our vacation here at Casa Caribe has been so fantastic. We created so many lasting memories we will never forget. One of or favorite places to eat was at Turtle Bay, very good food and awesome cinnamon rolls that our son loved. We snorkeled at Yal-Ku lagoon, the view there is speechless. Xel-Ha was a wonderful place for the whoe family, I suggest at least two days. Food was awesome with a big selection to feed even the pickiest eater. Drinks awesome. Playa del Carmen is a shopper's paridise, you could stay there all day. Tulum - good shopping also and we loved looking at the ruins. A word of advise, make sure when you put gas in, be careful the guys like to pull one over on you and switch the bills, like you give them &50 and they say you gave them $15. They were caught red handed. Our family would love to come again. We love Akumal!! Everyone here was friendly. Chrisina, I would love to take her home. Louis - very, very hard worker. He would get coconuts in the tree for us and fresh juice. Both of them spoiled us. Casa Caribe would be recommended to everyone. Rhett gave us good tips!! Iguanas were a site to see. We loved everything about our weeks vacation here. I'm sad to have to go back to Colorado. The view of the water was so awesome. Very peaceful here. We will be back. Especially enjoyed 2 meals that Christina prepared. We've had fantastic weather and love the sound of the surf, especially at night. Enjoyed our family (3 teenage daughters) stay! Last 3-4 days unseasonably cool (sweatshirts, windy & too cool to swim) - fist 6 days quite nice. Took 4 nice excursions - nearby Yalku snorkeling was worthwhile. The Hidden World cenote park was very interesting - zip lines, canopy bycycle ride, repelling and cavern snorkeling - fairly expensive, but worth it. Day trip to Mayan ruins of Coba very interesting. Amazingly large archeological site! Lots of tour buses arrive after 10:00 AM so go early and avoid much of the rush. There's a nice beach, (Pariso) NE of Tulum worth visiting. Meals - by far the best local estaurant was Turtle Bay - both for breakfast & dinner. Christina fixed us 2 meals. Very convenient, no hassel way to eat. The shrimp dinner was excellent! Dec 8-15, 2007 Casa Caribe has been the perfect spot for my 60th birthday get together with my family. My 4 grandchildren, Sarah, Caroline, Reba, and Jack have loved the little pool. There have been "cannon ball" lessons, playing crocadile and lots of just splashing around. Christina has served us 3 great meals. What a treat to just kick back at the dinner hour and be served. Today, we went at 8 AM (best time to go) for the glass bottom turtle boat excursion. The guide was wonderful. He made it so fun for the girls. We saw turtles in the boat - and when we got out to snorkel. He worked hard to make it a great adventure. Highly recommend it. Yal Ku Lagoon was such a special place to experience the close up viewing of fish without the work of going against the waves. Don't miss the swings at La Buena Vida. We had fun times there swinging and playing scrabble. We have been made to feel very welcomed - enjoyed the week tremendously. Garry and Loraine Buckles and family Genoa, WI

A little over 24 hours to go before our perfect week in Akumal ends. Casa Caribe has been the perfect home to celebrate respective anniversaries in our 34th and our friends 7th year. It was touch and go since we knew we were coming during prime hurricane season. Hurricane Dean hit a few weeks ago but luckily, spared this home. Half Moon Bay did not seem to fair as well. My husband and I came to the house 3 days before our friends joined us. Since we rented a car, we were able to explore the area some. We went to Hidden Worlds and did the sky riding/cave snorkeling adventure. A little pricey at $60 each but worth doing just to experience bicycles in the sky. Returning to Yal Ku Lagoon was a wonderful treat. We had found this place 4 years ago on a sidetrip with our children off of a cruise stop. It was a pleasant surprise to visit it again and see all the beautiful statues added to the park. It was one of my favorite snorkeling spots in the area. Easy entry and exit spots into the water which is full of brightly colored coral fish. For $7 it is the bargain of the area. Tuesday, we picked up our friends in Puerto Aventouras - too commercial for me, but it was fun watching tourists swim with dolphins. On Wednesday, the 4 of us went to Xel Ha. We all were pleasantly surprised with the park. We chose the all inclusive day - $60 a piece. Plenty of food and quality liqour which made it a bargain for our group. Plenty to do - bicyle riding, floating in tubes, and snorkeling. Not too crowded since we are here off season. Oops, I almost forgot the special treat on Monday. My husband and I snorkeled Akumal Bay in the afternoon. It was almost a disappointment ubtil we found two large turtles eating in the grassy areas. We found Half Moon Bay had more fish and larger variety of coral to see while snorkeling. On Thursday, the 4 of us chose the Robinson cruise trip out of Akumal Dive shop. Our captain was Chino and it was a great day in the water. The first few hours, we fished and caught some small snapper. Luckily, the captain and co-captain were better fishermen so they were able to catch enough for our lunch on a secluded beach. While we snorkeled in the bay, our captains/chefs prepared a delicious meal of very fresh ceviche, guacamole, and grilled snapper. Quite a treat and, thankfully, we were able to avoid the rain showers throughout the day. La Buena Vida, swing bar was the perfect place to end a great day. Finished off our week on Friday with another morning snor

We're leaving today after a wonderful week here at Casa Caribe! Actually, we are 6 - here to celebrate multiple "over 50" birthdays. It has been a great reunion of old friends in this beautiful place. We do recommend early days at ruins an other attractions. And we loved Paula and her cooking plus her sense of humor in dealing with "take charge" women on her night to cook. As I write, I am thinking that I am loving the sound of the sea - it has been a great back drop to a great journey and gathering of friends. Lynn Hart and friends Austin, TX

Our family of 6 adults and 2 children - 4 & 5 spent a wonderful time in this lovely house. We loved watching the waves and will miss the sound of the sea. Kids loved snorkeling at the lagoon but grandaughter was a little scared fo the fish. We spent a lot of time a the local beach and another day a the beach near Tulum. The pool was a big hit with the grand kids!! Enjoyed 2 meals at La Lunita, breakfast at Turtle Bay and dinner twice at Casa Verde. I'm afraid we were too lazy to get our act together to have Paula cook for us. Maybe next time. We too tipped her on par with Luis. Lovely house. Great town. Terrific weather. Ocean to rough to go out on a boat for scuba diving. Snorkling in Yalku Lagoon very nice. Staff great. Good family vacation. 8 adults/4 couples. Tulum worthwhile with a guide to point out things. We had cars so went to Walmart in Playa del Carmen for grocery shopping. Sam's club requires membership ($35) so passed that for Walmart. Ate out a few times - La Lunita nice restaurant. Italian restaurant had flaminco dancer and good pasta dishes. Go across highway to village for food locals eat - more authentic mexican suisine at those eateries. Had a nice time relaxing by the pool too.

We had a wonderful time! The Casa and Casita were very comfortable. Paula and Luis did a great job of keeping things clean and tidy. Paula cooked two excellent meals for us - the best Mexican food we have ever tasted! The sunrise and sunset views were unforgetable. The beach at Akumal and the lagoon were ideal. We enjoyed the caves at Aktun Chen and the visit a the Mayan ruins at Tulum were awesome. However, the best part was being here at Casa Caribe and just enjoying the house and patio overlooking the sea. The children loved the pool and were in it every day. We appreciated having had the opportunity of living in your house for what turned out to be too short a visit! Thanks, Thanks, and Thanks Again!!! Just a break from the cold (-11C) (12F) and college work for our daughter and me. She and a friend spent a few days with us before entering the Cancun night life scene. Hubby and I then relaxed, swam the Hiddend caves(and the crazy truck ride) and the all-inclusive at Xel Ha. The water tem was 79 degrees F, so swimming, snorkling, tubing, and walking the ropes was fun. Visited Yalku near here. Less expensive and amazing fish. A few wanted to chew our daughter's friend. Ate at Gueva del Pescadore, fresh fish indeed! But we always went across Hwy 307 to the Mexican Store ------Mar, because they didn't rip us off, like Chomak on this side. They almost doubled the prices at Chomak. $6 for chips!? Paula was great, so we gave her an equal tip to the gardener. Out front near the ocean, there is a spout hold with live crabs. It was marked by a red frisbee piece. Beware of the spray. Visited Playa del Carmen for shopping and beach. Also visited Tulum! We left the video we bought about Akumal and the area. It was very helpful. Rich, Lauri, Jolena, Stacia

The weather was raining the first 3 days. Then it cleared up. The snorkeling was great! Xcaret was a great day. But thanks to your very nice home, it made for some very lasting family memories. We will never forget. Thank you for opening up your home and letting us share you Casita with us!

Thanksgiving week. We had a wonderful time. The weather, though a little cool at times, was beautiful. We loved everything we did, from exploring Coba to sitting on the beach at Tulum. Our boys, 13 and 16 loved the cenotes. We snorkled at Hidden Worlds. Wonderful! We also toured Aktun Chen. Great tour. The monkeys were fun to watch too. Akumal is beautiful. Yalku Lagoon was beautiful but too cold for us. As you can see, we had a great time. Your home is perfect. We all agree we are looking forward to coming back. Paula and Luis are very sweet. Her cooking our meal one night was terrific. Thank you for sharing your home with us. The Collins, Magnolia, TX USA

8 of us came to this beautiful place for a week of bonding and relaxation. We were not disappointed. This is our family Christmas, spending a week together in this awesome locale. Upon arrival, we were amazed at the beauty of the ocean and jungle environment. We love the sleepiness of the town and the welcome from the residents. Weather has been hot, hot! the the exception of Thursday - was cool and cloudy. We snorkled in Akumal Bay and saw turtles, stingrays, baracuda, and many species of fish. The turtles ar great to watch as they feed off the bottom and swim up to the surface. Also snorkled in the caves/cenotes at Hidden Worlds. Crazy adventure - underground caves filled with fresh water and went through caverns and tiny crevices - not for the claustrophobic. Visited the ruins at Coba - very impressive. Would suggest going early in the day - too hot climbing the 120 stairs otherwise and avoid the many tour buses. We timed it perfectly. The beach at Tulum was a favorite. White sand like you've never seen before - fine sugar, and the waves were entertaining to all. Chicken (Pollo) on the streets in Tulum from the locals - best we've ever had! La Buena Vida - favorite place for happy hour, sand under your feet and swimging on the swing, listening to the ocean - priceless. So, on our last night, Paula is cooking dinner for us - Enchiladas and carmel flan for dessert. We are looking forward to it but also sad as we are going home tomorrow. We say goodbye to the beach, the pool, this great house, the iguanas who sit on the roof, and the pure relaxaation. Thanks for sharing this place with our family. We'll never forget it. We were hit by hurricanes Wilma and Emily in 2005 and spent most of 2006 remodeling the house. This if why there is a gap in our guest comments. Denise Koval and Roger Burton

We have been friends forever, some at birth to now, some grade school, others high school. But we have stayed in touch. Even with life's changes. Our friend Patty had come up with this amazing idea to celebrate our 50th birthday together and celebrate 20 years of her ourn hair salon. The first part of her trip with salon friends - 2nd half the 50 bunch. We enjoyed every morning sunrise - surf - stars at night - surf - La Buena Vida at night! - great food - friendly people - having someone clean, smile, and pick up after us was great. Tulum was nice trip - go early , very hot - bug spray - apbolutely - for dinner time too! Watch all the steps. We ended up with one blue foot but Dine hung in there! All we can say! We love it and we are fifty!!! Donna Schultus, Chris Bochn, Diane Piaden, Sandy Haley, Vicki Roberts, Patty Gamble, Mary Penny - Little Sister only 45 but we love her and she had to join us on the best trip ever!

The Sunshine 7 came to the Yucatan Peninsula and had a fabulous wee, in Akumal and Casa Caribe! Lots of wind but plenty of sun and also humidity. Loved Tulum, Half Moon Bay (snorkeling), Yal Ku Lagoon, Soliman Bay and just hanging out with family. Luis and Paula are treasures and Paula fixed a delicious shrimp dinner. Kelsy's #1 high was Casa Caribe and having her oun space. Her low was the unfamiliar food. Elaina's high was becoming proficient at snorkeling and her low was sunburn. Abby's high was the sun and the pool and her low was her sunburn. Jay's high was the house and his low was Super Chomak - (more about that later). Karen's high was Yal Ku Lagoon snorkeling and her low was unfamiliar car and highways. Marshall's high was the delight the family took in Casa Caribe and having such nice space. Linda's high was sunshine, the sound of the ocean and shelling with Marshall and Elaina. Her low was definitelly Super Chomak. If we have any advice to further guests - shop at Play del Carmen by the McDonalds at a grocery supermarket called Chedruei(?) Super Chomak translates to rip-off! We bought groceries at Chedruei for 60% less than at Super Chomak. We enjoy supporting locals but they don't make it easy. All in all it was a wonderful, relaxing week with our fabulous family! A wonderful 6 days - a little of every kind of weather (mostly perfect!). Love the blow hole at water's edge and the iguanas. Ouote of the week: "Who took my glasses?" T. Toland Syracuse, NY Just to add a few special moments - snorkeling through a school of fish only to meet a barracuda face to face - and the swimming with a 40 lb turtle. Memories of a lifetime! I came as part of my retirement year-long celebration, leaving mounds of snow in Syracuse, New York to bask in the glow of Carribbean sun. First time to snorkle - in Yal-Ku - and an hour passed in a moment. I recommend Cyber-Akumal, the Peak Gym, and dinner at La Lunita. But most of all, sitting on the patio with well-loved friends and a beverage made this week glorious. Kathleen Spillane Syracuse, NY
