Classic Stinson Beach cottage. Get away from it all in this adorable dream cottage only steps from the beach. Walk at sunset...collect shells... or simply lounge in the hammock with views of local mountains and hang gliders on weekends! Beautifully landscaped yard with large level lot that is enclosed and private. 2 bedrooms; 1 bath; open beamed ceilings with skylights. Ping pong table on the rear enclosed deck. Ideal for
families with small children as they do not need to cross any major streets (just walk down the Cul-de-Sac to beach path). A boogie boards are provided by the owner for tenants use. Outside shower (hot and cold water) warm you and washing
off sand from the beach. Great hiking trails (Dipsea, Matt Davis, Willow Camp, Steep Ravine). Approx. 2 miles to Audobon Canyon Ranch. 8 mies from the southern end of Pt. Reyes National Seashore.
We have enjoyed the Stinson Beach family experience for 30 years in raising our children and now grandchildren. We purchased our cottage 12 years ago. We now want to share that experience with others.
Easy walk to town with restaurants, general store, surf rental shop, kayak rental shop, video store, and ice cream. Very close to many hiking trails that take you to redwood groves and lovely creeks. Sandy beach is about 3 miles long and is only a few steps from your front yard. Additional outdoor shower has hot water.

$200/night: May 1 thorough October 31 and all holiday weekends. 1 .. $1200/week
$175/night: November 1 through April 30 excluding holiday weekends

The best kept secret in California!!

I can't say enough about how wonderful this cottage and Rodger is. We intended San Francisco to be our main focus, but loved the relaxation of the cottage and beauty of Muir Woods better. Everything was clean and comfortable, with many extra towels and bedding available. The kitchen was stocked with every gadget we wanted, as well as spices, oil, flour and other pantry staples available to share. There was even charcoal in the grill. The kids were occupied with Ping Pong (rather than TV!!) while I cooked. There were 2 boogie boards and a surf board to ride the waves. The ocean is cold and there are wet suits available. We brought our own, so I didn't check sizes. The beach is really only 200 feet from the cottage and pristine, no litter. I collected Sand Dollars, but didn't see any shells. The sand was soft - no broken shells to hurt bare feet. We saw dolphins and harbor seals playing in the surf. Fortunately, NO sharks. This is a popular beach for locals and the public beach had visitors, but we had our stretch of beach almost to ourselves. The cool breeze off the ocean was a welcome break from MN heat and humidity. No AC needed and there was a heater to warm the morning chill. Almost forgot to mention the laundry facilities. Beautiful high efficiency Whirlpool....better than many people have at home...and they provided laundry soap and dryer sheets. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer.

I just returned from my annual Sister's Weekend, and with my 3 sisters, enjoyed staying at this darling cottage for 3 nights. Very clean, very well stocked (except for beach chairs) with owners who were very responsive to emails and questions. The beds were comfortable, the hammock snooze-worthy, and the beach just steps away! Drove to the Dipsea Trailhead in 2 minutes, drove to the city in under an hour, and was always happy to come "home" to our little cottage by the sea!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.
