This 2 Bedroom, 2 bathroom suite is located in The Pakalana Inn. The Inn is intended for independent travelers on the Big Island of Hawaii. Located across from the Wailoa State Park and adjacent to the Downtown Farmer's Market it is ideally situated in the heart of Hilo. The rooms may be rented individually or together based on occupany.
Newly renovated second story of a 1944 commercial building has lots of light and ventilation, two interconnected rooms with private baths. Keyless entries, wireless Internet, microwaves, and refrigerators compliment a classic Hawaiian look and feel.
This is an excellent home base to stay during Merry Monarch, Downtown Hoolaulea, Black & White Night, soccer, cycling, marathon/triathlon, or paddling events. Over 40 restaurants, several museums, theaters, and shops are within walking distance. Downstairs is a local style restaurant, guitar and ukulele shop with lessons, and body board shop. A surf shop with rentals is located 2 doors mauka (toward the mountain) and bicycle shop one block away. No need to rent a car - hang out on a rainy day!
