Located on historic Venice Island, Florida, on the beautiful Gulf of Mexico! Built in 1951, Island Breeze has been totally modernized, but still captures the look and feel of old world Florida.
Your private studio sleeps 2-4, as we can provide a King, Queen, or two Double beds – and we can connect rooms if needed.
Each room is sparkling and decorated in its own unique and charming way. We provide clean linens and towels. We have rooms with kitchenettes, and all rooms have a refrigerator and microwave.We can provide a BBQ grill, too!
We provide free cable TV, wireless Internet throughout, and free local calls. And at Island Breeze, there are only 21 units in the complex so it’s quiet and cozy. You can enjoy the heated pool near your room, or walk to beautiful Venice Beach.
We are located in Venice's historic area, just a short walk to palm tree-lined avenues full of antique shops, boutiques, and cafes. Close by you can find cafes, bistros, and restaurants serving Italian, Mexican, BBQ, Japanese, Greek, and American food. On Saturday mornings, you can pick up fresh treats from the Downtown Farmers' Market and have a picnic in Bayfront Park!
Venice Beach enjoys direct proximity to the Gulf of Mexico. Kids will enjoy looking for sharks’ teeth in the sand – Venice is known as the Shark’s Tooth Capital of the World! Venice Beach offers picnic tables, restrooms, and outdoor showers.
Boaters and fishermen will appreciate how close you are to the Gulf of Mexico! The beaches, Venice Jetty, and Venice Pier provide great opportunities for catching the big one! The Pier and Jetty have bait and tackle, fishing licenses, sandwiches, and snacks. For fishing offshore, boat rentals and deep sea fishing charters are available.
And "there's always something onstage at Venice Theatre" -- you can walk from Island Breeze to one of the largest and most active regional theaters in the U.S.! Venice Theatre runs a full season of drama and musical productions, cabaret performances, children's theater, and all kinds of popular entertainment.
The weather is beautiful year-round, as the Gulf of Mexico produces a sub-tropical climate which generally maintains temperatures between 70-85 degrees in all seasons.
Just a short drive from Venice Island is Sarasota, considered the cultural capital of the South. Sarasota has unbelievable boutique and upscale shopping; the Ringling Museum of Art; many theaters and art galleries; an opera house; and the Sarasota Ballet. There are also over 75 golf courses in the Venice/Sarasota area. Venice also offers public tennis courts and other outdoor activities.
Venice Island has easy access to Interstate 75 and it is a short drive to Tampa/St Petersburg/Clearwater, an hour to Naples, about 2 hours to the Orlando theme parks, and 3 hours to South Beach, Miami.
You can easily travel to these exciting attractions, and still stay at Island Breeze to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and Venice’s relaxing beaches!
