Enjoy the peace and quiet of our spacious, lake front home, situated on a large spacious wooded lot on Lake D'Arbonne. Spend time, sipping coffee, watching the fish jump, listening to the birds sing, or admiring the awesome sunsets from the hot tub on our covered deck.
For the outdoor enthusiasts - there is a 9 hole golf course minutes away and 2 major golf courses within a few miles.
For the fisherman - Darbonne Lake is a popular man made fish area. Record catches of bass, crappie, catfish make Lake D'Arbonne a fishing haven.
Wide open area nearby appeals to the water skiers and pleasure boater. The State Park close by may appeal to those wanting to hike or bike. Lake D'Arbonne is a sportsman's paradise while being close (within minutes) to shopping and all town amenities.
Our lake house has a spectacular waterfront view and is nicely furnished. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless appliances. There is a children's swing set, trampoline and an outdoor hot tub for your enjoyment.

Awesome Accommodations and Location

What an extraordinary opportunity we had to stay in Farmerville and experience life in Louisiana. The drive out to the property is beautiful and while expecting something a little more rustic for a "summer house" it was a wonderful surprise to find a beautiful, well appointed home that was spotlessly clean and up to date. Its location right on the shore of the lake makes for lazy days, and evening dinners on the deck. We caught fish in the lake and enjoyed our first ever fish fry. It is in a safe neighbourhood that allows for walking and getting out and enjoying the outdoors. The owners are a lovely couple who make you feel truly welcome. I would not hesitate recommending this vacation property to anyone, young or old.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway, families with young children.

Many thanks to the hosts Rickey and Freida for sharing with us this delightful getaway home. Clean, comfortable and southern decor allowed us as guests to appreciate the peacefulness of country living and experience the south in style. Watching the sunsets from the back porch and dock exempliefied relaxation....and of course sipping wine in the hot tub. Everything was exactly as the photographs on their website indicated....the beds were comfortable and allowed for a perfect rest. The golf course personnel and members were inviting and shared with us their knowledge and hospitality of the area - a great deal for golfers as the green fees are cheap and it is just up the street. Once again, thank you and we will be sure to return and bring some of our Canadian friends with us.
