We all liked the ski storage in this unit. Except for the lack of snow this has been the best place we've stayed at. Wish you owned condos in other states! We will definitely recommend you to anyone we know heading to Steamboat!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Lovely town home! Love the Aveda bath products! Everyone has been so professional and friendly- we couldn't have been more pleased. Extremely well appointed - thank you! Nothing needed maintenance that I could tell. Nothing was broken but kids took all the pieces out of the chess tin and we couldn't get all the pieces back. Sorry!Did you find this review helpful? I stayed at this unique townhome for 10 l days in late June 2009. I've been visiting Steamboat for many years, and have stayed at many different properties. This property was by far one of my favorites. Decor is refreshingly modern (definitely not the boilerplate faux western or ski chalet motif you find most places) and exceptionally comfortable/functional. Unit was well-maintained - spotlessly clean. Kitchen was well equipped, including gas BBQ grill on patio. Enjoyed the sound system that allowed me to play music from my ipod and listen to Steamboat's great radio stations. Internet Wi fi connection was fast and reliable. Big screen TV was sensibly situated. The last 2 places I stayed, the TV's were mounted over fireplaces (too high). You'd get a crick in your neck trying to watch TV. Speaking of fireplaces, there was a fireplace in the living room and the master bedroom - a real luxury as far as Im concerned. Full size washer/dryer allowed me to pack light, just washed frequently. Beds (mattresses and linens) were extremely comfortable - slept soundly. Location is ideal. Easy walk to the ski area for hiking and resturaunts (I recommend Slopeside Grill) and to the recreation path that runs through town. There is a two car garage, but a car is not essential if you stay here. Bus stop is 2 minute walk. Buses are free to ride and although they only come by every 20 minutes, they ran with the precision of the trains in Japan. I turned my rental car in after the first few days. Even without a car, the garage is useful for securely and conveniently storing bikes and other outdoor gear. Two potential negatives. First, there is no swimming pool. This is not a big issue for me as I prefer to go to the pool/hot springs at the rec center in town anyway. Some units do have hot tubs. The other potential downside for some guests might be the stairs - you cant avoid them. Again, this wasnt a problem for me and I suspect it wouldnt be for most visitors to Steamboat. However, dont bring Grandma along to watch the kids while you're out having fun unless she's comfortable with stairs. Similarly, if you have toddlers, the stairs might be an issue - they aren't toddler-friendly stairs. Having said that, the people in the unit next to me had young kids, and I never heard any ambulances. Nevertheless, I wouldnt find it relaxing to stay here with a toddler. Highly recommend. Would definitely stay here again.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
