Answer to Prayer is an airy ocean front home that is just the ticket for enjoying Topsail Island up close and in style.

The house accommodates up to 10 guests with 4 bedrooms and 2 baths. Answer to Prayer is located in North Topsail Beach just over the High Rise Bridge to the island and a short drive to downtown Surf City for shopping and dining. A pet friendly, smoke free refuge for you, your family and friends is waiting.

You'll love the mornings. We like to get up early with a steaming cup of coffee and sit out on the deck. It's so quiet, but the beach is waking up. The waves crash on the shore, sea gulls gawk at one another.

A flock of pelicans come "floating" on the winds as they cruise the beach looking for breakfast. The morning sun warms us up.

My husband decides he wants to go for a ride on his bike. He heads south on the bike shoulder lane waving at the friendly islanders driving in the early morning. After a good run to the southern part of the island, he gets off at the point to smell the jasmine and salt air.

As he heads back, he stops at Seas the Day, a beach house owned by a friend of ours in Surf City. We have friends staying there who have come to Topsail Island the same week as us. After he greets them and visits for a while, he invites them to the barbeque we are planning that night.

While he is riding on his bike, I decide I will take a quick dip and swim a little. The water is chilly at first, but then the Caribbean kissed waters seem to warm up. After a workout, I climb back on the beach and then to take a shower. I decide that I will lay in the sun later. But first I want to do a little shopping at this absolutely darling clothes shop in Surf City.

  • My husband and I have vacationed at "Answer to Prayer" on North Topsail Island, North Carolina twice. The home is very well maintained and to us it is obvious that the home owners take great pride and effort in keeping the home in pristine order. The versatility of this vacation spot is quite unique, as it is large enough home to comfortably house several families if need be, with enough room for privacy. Or, it is big enough to house one large family. The incredibly close proximity to the beach is fantastic. Less than a 30 second walk and you are in the warm Atlantic ocean or on the soft white beach. The beach is so inviting as there is no need to "fight" for your "beach-space". At Topsail it is a popular spot for vacationers, but not too popular. This is ideal for us. There is a plethora of activities that one can do, from just relaxing on the beach, to boat tours, fishing, golfing, dinning and many other choices that are conveniently listed on the website. So one can be as busy or relaxed as one chooses to be. There are plenty of outdoor chairs on the patio to soak up the sun if one chooses not to get too "sandy". Walking up and down the beach is always a delight as one can hear the rolling waves come to shore and look for your favourite sea shell or polished rock or coloured sea glass or even a shark tooth or two! There is plenty of beach that one can get away from the hustle and bustle of life and breath in the fresh air of the ocean breeze. This is a place where you can clear your head and start a fresh. You also may also see the pelicans glide against the rolling waves and the dolphins friskily jump in and out of the ocean water. Now that is a delight to see! As well there are several nicer shops in the vicinity that one may frequent to bring some beach memories home or find a "beachy-type" gift for a special someone. One can also buy fresh fish or crustations from the local fish markets. We would come back to "Answer to prayer" as it is easy access to the Highway and to the airport, which makes it quite convenient for those that do not drive directly to the location. The home is tastefully decorated and yet it is done in a way that you still want to utilize the furniture. There is ample parking and all that one may need to vacation is in the home. The architecture in the home is lovely and the views that one gets of the sunrise or sunset are breathtakingly beautiful. It has a fully equipped kitchen and there is access to the internet (just in case you need to touch base with home or business) and there are televisions in the rooms. It is almost like taking your own lovely home and placing it 30 feet from the ocean! We have felt very much "at home" with all the amenities that this vacation spot provides and we just love where it is located! Oh yes, we will be back! Rebeca Assad Gatineau, Quebec, Canada

  • We have been coming here for eight years sometimes twice a year and all but one time we stayed in this house. "Answer to Prayer" is just that to us! it's like home. We love the beach and the area is great. We walk up and down the beach every day and find shark's teeth and nice shells. We are so happy we can stay in this house.

  • My husband and I have stayed twice at this location. It is easy access from the airport with many fun and interesting things that one can do on Topsail Island and nearby. Answer to prayer is very clean and it is obvoius that the owners take pride and care in their home. Access to the ocean is just feet away and the ocean is lovely. The beach is not overcrowded. The ammenities at the site are above average and we would return to this location with no problem.
