This is a little cabin with a big heart, perfect for those seeking a quiet, stylish getaway. Granite countertops, polished nickel and antique bronze fixtures throughout, pine floors with area rugs add to the warmth to the atmosphere of the cabin. All the timbers and logs were locally cut, nothing prefab about it.

It features a 3/8ths European glass slate rain-shower and a classic slipper soaker tub on the upper level and a similar bathroom on the lower level without the tub.

There are breath- taking views of Boulder Mountain and the rock formations that surround the area to the north from the 'Martini Deck' on the second level off the bedroom.

The cabin combines the rustic authenticity of timbers and logs with some of the finest furniture and fixtures you'll find anywhere.

This custom cabin is located on a 20 acre forested parcel adjacent to the Dixie National forest at 7300 ft elevation. It rests on the shoulder of Boulder Mountain, the highest timbered land mass in the United States with 55,000 acres of flat, forested countryside at 11,000 ft. It is 7 miles south of Torrey UT on the scenic byway Utah Highway 12. Capitol Reef National Park is a short 15 minute drive down the mountain.

This area, UT Highway 12, is a unique area in all of the lower '48. You can go from the forest on Boulder Mountain with the pines, lakes, and quaking aspen to the pinion and juniper forests at 4200 ft in elevation, the center of Capitol Reef National Patrk all with in 25 minutes. Trout fishing to the Anasazi ruins in the desert. I love this area and call it 'Spiritual Vortex of the Planet'. The textures and varieties of landscape render it the most beautiful place I have ever seen.

If you are looking for a peaceful country retreat, surrounded by natural wonders, this is the place.

This cabin is very well located if you are exploring Capitol Reef NP. Instead of staying at a boring motel in Torrey, choose this cabin for its character, seclusion, and charm. It is very well stocked with all housekeeping necessities, including a beautiful kitchen and very stylish bathrooms. Everything was very clean and in working order, and there is a caretaker couple immediately nearby who respond very quickly if you have any needs. It's a really comfortable house with a beautiful porch, so you can sit out there and relax. Our family of 5 was well accommodated, but that's about the limit. The "nice" bedroom is upstairs, there's another down in the basement, while one person slept on the sofa in the living room; and yes, the house does have 3 full levels, so there's a lot of stairs to climb. The house also has no internal doors, so if sound privacy is an issue for you, do consider that. One great feature is the balcony from the upstairs bedroom which can serve as an excellent astronomical observing platform. You have a great view of the entire western half of the sky, and being upstairs, there is no obstruction from trees. The night skies are quite dark and make for some excellent observing. Overall we were very satisfied with this property, and would willingly stay there again, although it's more ideally suited for 4 people than 5.

The cabin was beautiful and secluded! Perfect getaway for our Valentine's Day! Loved the cabin and the owner was incredibly nice! If staying in the area I would definitely recommend this cabin!

Just to stay at this cabin was a treat in and of itself. Everything about it was exquisite but also comfortable. The views from the upper deck were so star filled--we had never seen anything like it. The cabin is very close to "civilization" but feels like you are in the middle of nowhere--lots of privacy. My kids loved the wrap around porch and I loved the beautiful and well appointed kitchen. We were close to the falls on the Fremont River (good for water fall jumping) as well as hiking in Dixie National Forest.

Absolutely love everything about the place. The amazing details are too numerous to list. My compliments to the carpenters & the interior decorator(s). We spent most of our time driving the incredible roads - The Burr Trail and had a wonderful dinner at the Burr Trail Grill. There'a simply too much to do in Southern Utah and we will definately be back. Many thanks.

This is a wonderful place to stay for those who love unique accommodations in a quiet, star studded setting. The cabin is newly built and decorated in a very creative style. Oriental rugs, Victorian light fixtures and quality furniture all meld to create a serendipitous atmosphere. Staying here was truly a pleasure. A+++++++

The setting was beautiful and the cabin was inviting, comfortable and the details made it feel very special. We enjoyed being a short drive to the Capital Reef National Forest as well as being on scenic RT 12. It was exactly what we wanted, a quiet and beautiful surrounding for a Christmas vacation. Our family is looking forward to visiting again and again.

About the owner: I am a dentist who practices in Salt Lake City, Utah and Las Vegas, Nevada. I harvested most of the logs and timbers that built this cabin. I sought this area out because of it's isolated, serene location. The cabin was originally built as a guest house, my own residence is about 300 yards down my drive and my wife and I don't get to spend enough time on the property right now but hope soon to retire there.
