This beautifully appointed, 3-story red brick Victorian home, located in the prestigious west end of town, is an easy, idyllic 5-minute, 2-block walk to the center of Elk Avenue. The house has 3 bedrooms, 4 queen and 2 twin beds, a 2nd floor den, 3 full bathrooms and a powder room. Several of the rooms have radiant heated floors. There are two gas fireplaces, up-to-date audio/visual throughout, and a state-of-the art Jacuzzi that can comfortably accommodate 6.
The location is truly perfect. It is only 2 blocks to the heart of Elk Avenue and a 5 minute walk along Butte Avenue to the last bus stop heading up to the ski facilities. And guests love the house. Comments from visitors include:

Three stories is ideal as it affords privacy for multiple guests, offers especially beautiful mountain views, and is very quiet. The property is situated in the best part of town, on a beautifully landscaped lot with a front and back yard and a wooden deck in the back.
The first floor has high ceilings throughout. The kitchen is over-sized and has modern appliances and a large bar-height table in the middle for casual dining. There is a separate, large dining room that can accommodate 8 people comfortably around a large round table. The living room is handsomely appointed and has a fireplace.
The second floor has a very comfortable master bedroom with a queen-sized bed and an ensuite bathroom with steam shower. The guest room has a queen-size bed. The second floor den is another room for guests to relax in, with a fireplace and gorgeous mountain views.
The top floor is an ideal bunkroom for kids or additional room for adults, with two queen beds, two twin beds, and its own bathroom.

I have stayed at this house more than once because once is not enough!! It is so comfortable and cozy. There are great views of the mountain and town is only a two minute walk. I have recommended this property to several friends and they have always been so pleased. It's the only "brick" house in the wonderful town of Crested Butte.Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, age 55+.

If you're looking for a comfy, roomy and very well appointed place to stay in Crested Butte in a great location, this is it. When we stayed, it was perfectly situated for 5-min walk to the Ski buses and less than a 5-min walk to the Main Street for shopping, dining, etc. We loved cooking in the big kitchen and just lounging in the big living room by the fire after a long day of skiing. The beds, linens and pillows were very nice, too, and we slept like lambs! When you go, be sure to stop in at the Cocktail Cabin just a few blocks away - great fun, inventive cocktails, good food and game night on Tuesdays!! We'll be back for sure.Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, adventure seekers.

We have rented dozens of Crested Butte properties over the years and this property at 15 Third Street is the most charming of all. The location is great, just a short walk to the main drag, and the furnishings are like those you would find in a designer studio. The kitchen is well appointed and a great place to cook and enjoy an apres adventure beverage. The dining room has a large round table that can accomodate lots of diners. The living room has lots of sunlight, is very comfortable, has a wall mounted flat scrren, and a great sound system (system works throughout the property). Upstairs is equally charming with 2 wonderful bedrooms and another sun filled room where occupants can hang out and watch another flat scrren TV. The 3rd floor bedroom provides lot of privacy and several comfortable beds. Our children and friends rave about the outdoor hot tub and the steam shower in one of the second floor bathrooms.Recommended for: People with disabilities, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers.

We just returned from Crested Butte for an early Christmas skiing trip. This house was wonderful...The location was perfect for what we needed and the house had everthing and more. Very quite but a short walk to Elk avenue. Thank you Shay for all of your help..
