This wonderful property is located in the tiny mining town of Twin Lakes, where the wealthy gold miners summered with their families. It was the site of Willard's General Store, one of the original town buildings. Twin Lakes is at the foot of Mt. Elbert, the tallest 14,000 foot peak in Colorado. It is also on the base of Independence Pass. Aspen lies on the other side 40 minutes away. This pass is only open in the summer.
This house is fully remodeled in the last year. It has antique furniture and original art. Master bedroom has a queen bed with bath (claw foot tub with shower). The other two bedrooms are located on the second floor with a full bed and a twin bed each, with a shared full bath. The kitchen is large and well appointed for cooking.
Hiking, fishing, boating (kayak, canoe, motor, sail), biking, snow shoeing, cross county skiing and dining all available steps from the front door.
This is a wonderful family place or hunting lodge. Wildflowers grow in the yard and the kids can run next door to the general store for ice cream.
