'The Green House', is located in the tiny mining town of Twin Lakes, where the wealthy gold miners summered with their families. Twin Lakes is at the foot of Mt. Elbert, and La Plata Peak, some of the tallest 14,000 foot peaks in Colorado. It is also at the base of Independence Pass, where Aspen lies on the other side just 40 minutes away. (This pass is only open in the summer.) Watch the racers go right by the property in the summer as the Leadville Trail 100 foot race course is right in sight!
This house has been fully remodeled in the last 2 years. It has antique furniture and original art. Master bedroom has a queen bed with bath (claw foot tub with shower). The other bedroom is located off the living room with 2 twin beds. The kitchen is large and opens up to the sitting room, perfect for group gatherings.
There is also a 'tiny house' just behind the back fence for additional sleeping living. This cottage is complete with a kitchen and bathroom. The price per night is $50 with rental of the main house.
A charming newly remodeled event or 'Dance' Hall is adjacent to the property. It is perfect for parties, weddings, meetings and family reunions. Please contact us for pictures and more information.
Come stay for the holidays where you can enjoy a real Rocky Mountain Vacation where the snow falls and you can enjoy peaceful serenity that so few mountain towns still have to offer. Or book early for the Summer season as availability dwindles towards the end of Spring...
