NOTE: Beginning January 31, 2008 passports will be required for all parties retuning from Mexico by car. Birth certificates are needed for children 18 and younger.
Our home offers five bedrooms and three full bathrooms. The spacious master suite (king-size bed) with sun room and vaulted ceilings includes his-and-her matching tile sinks with private bathroom. Also, upstairs are two bedrooms (Queen-size beds) with full bathroom. First floor has two bedrooms, one queen bed and two twin beds, with full bathroom. A comfortable self inflating Aero bed is also provided.
The kitchen is fully equipped for entertaining and the dining room has seating for 11. The comfortable party\living room offers an entertainment center, rock fireplace, playpen couch (seating for 11) and a terrace with patio furniture and BBQ grill. Paper products, linens, soap,bath towels and body wash are provided. Bring your own beach towels.
Las Gaviotas is a guard-gated community of 300 homes, built on a hillside overlooking the Pacific coastline. Part of the charm of this Mexican village is the cobblestone streets lined with palm trees and beautiful bougainvillea meandering throughout. This cozy community is located just 30 minutes south of the San Diego border.
The amenities in Las Gaviotas include an Olympic-size heated swimming pool and spa (overlooking the ocean), beach volleyball and tennis courts, and coin-operated washer and dryers. Children of all ages will love the sandy beach and tide pools. A slate patio with incredible views of the surf and sunset surrounds the large heated pool.
This is a renowned surfing location with both a right and left reef break great for both beginners and seasoned wave riders. A team of full-time groundskeepers display their pride with garden areas of flowers and bougainvillea that spill over flagstone paths leading to the ocean. If fishing is your sport, you can fish right here or if you prefer a boat, you can drive 40 minutes south to Ensenada. Charters are available for both sport and deep-sea fishing. You can also head north 15 minutes to the fishing village next to Fox Studios where the local fishermen will take you out in their pongas early in the morning and back by noon.
For you golfers, we have two golf courses close by. One is 15 minutes north called "Real Del Mar" or 30 minutes south there is "Baja Mar."
The town of Rosarito is a few minutes north where you will find lots of shopping, antiques, art galleries, and excellent restaurants. You can also rent horses and ride on the beach or you can choose to take your four-wheel drive vehicle on the beach at Rosarito. |
