Featuring a brand new pool and spa, newly decorated in an upscale “beach” decor, this home is a beach-lovers paradise. Enter the cottage into a large open living room where a wall of French doors extends all the way across the back, opening to a large, beautifully furnished deck with a gorgeous pool and spa, and with wooded and lagoon views. The sound of the pool’s waterfall, the lushness of the giant moss-bearded trees and the native shrubbery, and the sheer beauty of the Sea Pines area create an environment so soothing that your day-to-day cares will vanish. Enjoy the upgraded eat-in kitchen with classic tumbled marble tile countertops. There's even a private deck off the kitchen. The kitchen features a large side-by-side refrigerator with through-the-door ice and water dispenser and is well stocked with dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and everything you need to cook and dine at home. Enjoy the large deck and pool area with a new gas grill for your outdoor dining pleasure. The private pool and/or spa can be heated upon request ($100 extra) from April to November.
The master bedroom and queen guest bedroom each have a private access to the beautiful pool area, where you can enjoy the lagoon view and completely private back yard, pool and spa. The open floor plan offers everything you want for a family vacation or a romantic get-away. This vacation home is one of the few that you will find on Hilton Head with an eat-in kitchen as well as a separate dining room. The living room boasts a wall of built-ins where you can pick out a great book to read inside or out by the pool. You won't have to miss your favorite TV shows or sports events because there is a brand new 47" LCD, wide screen HDTV and DVD player in the living room. There are also televisions in each of the three bedrooms with full cable access. You can access the internet anywhere in the home or poolside via a wireless broadband signal. We even offer a CD/iPod player, so bring your iPod or your favorite CDs and enjoy your music.
All three bedrooms are spacious with quality bedding. Luxury linens are provided. Both the master bedroom with king bed and the second bedroom with a queen bed have their own private bathrooms. Including the spacious third bedroom with two twin beds, the house easily accommodates six to eight guests. We have found that most pull-out sofas are so uncomfortable that we provide a queen-sized elevated air bed to accommodate extra sleeping needs.

Activities
At your doorstep are an array of activities, including world-renowned golfing and tennis as well as biking, hiking, fishing, and lazy days at the beach. Tennis players can use the FREE Greenwood Forest court or may opt for one of Sea Pines’ nationally-ranked tennis clubs with lighted clay courts. Guests are welcome at the clubs. World-class golf within Sea Pines awaits you, with the beautiful Ocean course, the Pete Dye-designed Heron course, and the magnificent Harbortown Links clubhouses all within a two-minute drive from the house. You can also enjoy dozens of other courses on Hilton Head Island.
The cottage's location within Sea Pines Plantation allows you to easily walk to shops, ride your bike along the many miles of bike paths or to the Sea Pines Private Beach Club (a 10-minute bike ride) or to many of Sea Pines’ other beach access points (nearest one is a 5-minute bike ride). The house is just a ten-minute walk to Harbor Town, one of the most popular areas in all of Hilton Head Island. Just down the street from the house are the FREE Greenwood Forest neighborhood amenities - playground, swimming pool (great for swimming laps), basketball court and tennis court. In the house you'll find beach chairs, a beach umbrella, and a cooler for your convenience. You can drive all this equipment to the Sea Pines Beach Club in about two minutes, where you can enjoy the beautiful beach, food and bar service with an ocean view, showers, restrooms, a beach store, and seasonal activities for children. The beach is attended by lifeguards during the summer season. If you prefer a more remote beach experience you can bike or walk to any of dozens of beach access points along Sea Pines’ 5 miles of beach.
History buffs will find much to see and do on or near Hilton Head, which is located in an area steeped in Southern culture and tradition. St. Helena Island, home to the unique Gullah people, is an easy day trip by car, as are Savannah, Charleston and Beaufort, all prominent Civil War towns. "The Spirit of Harbor Town" tour boat conducts daily round trips (with a four-hour tour layover) to Savannah during the summer season.

We have been coming to Hilton Head for years, enjoying the beach, the bike trails, the golf courses, restaurants, ... etc. After making the decision to buy on the island we began a long search which culminated in 2008 with the purchase of a wonderful vacation house in Sea Pines. In February of 2009 we added a pool and spa, and the house became a perfect place to spend our vacation time. We have named it Starfish Cottage, and we hope you make it your favorite vacation home as well.

My family just returned from a wonderful week at Starfish Cottage. Our two young children loved the pool and waterfalls and we all enjoyed the hot tub. It was so much fun having our own pool to use whenever we wanted day or night! When we needed a beach fix we drove just five minutes away to the Sea Pines Beach Club. We dined out most nights and found so many great restaurants, once again within five or ten minutes of the house. It was a great trip and none of us wanted to come home!

Wow, where do we begin? Starfish Cottage is a wonderful house for a family vacation. We usually stay in a condo with an ocean view but loved this house and didn’t miss the beach view with the wonderful private pool and hot tub right in our backyard – which we used every day we were there. The house was clean, comfortable and well-stocked with everything we needed. The location was wonderful too with easy access to the Beach Club, Harbor Town, South Beach, etc. We rented bikes for the week and enjoyed using the bike paths and even got in a little tennis on the side. There is no lack of delicious restaurants in the area but we also enjoyed a few family dinners in as well. And Maggie, she is such a talented artist – so enjoyed her paintings throughout their home. Both Ron and Maggie are so easy to work with and answered all our questions prior to our visit – true professional rental owners! We hope to return to Starfish in Sea Pines again someday, maybe for 2 weeks the next time. And...our daughter and son-in-law celebrated their 1st wedding anniversary with us at Starfish.

Our family has been coming to Hilton Head for about 8 years, and this is by far the best place we have rented! Ron & Maggie are wonderful owners, and Starfish Cottage felt like home to us. The furniture is very comfortable, the kitchen is stocked, and you can't beat having a pool & hot tub right outside. It's a quick walk to Harbour Town Golf Links and to Sea Pines Center. We have never rented a house more than once until we found Starfish Cottage. We will definitely be back!

we enjoyed our stay so much at Starfish Cottage that we are dreading our departure. The house is gorgeous, updated and clean. The pool and spa are wonderful! The bedrooms are very large and comfortable. The kitchen and dining areas are so great we ate at home most of the week. The outside area is spacious, serene and private. We just loved every bit of it. The neighborhood is great for families. Lots of biking areas, a park and very little vehicular traffic. The landscaping is beautiful... And we could go on and on. Most importantly the owners are spectacular to deal with. We will be returning!

This was the perfect family vacation for us! We enjoyed the well equipped immaculate house. This property is exactly as described. The owners are very easy to communicate with and are very accomodating. Sea Pines has everything you need for a family vacation! We enjoyed biking around the resort. We stayed in Starfish Cottage for 2 weeks in August and we had an amazing time. The house was perfect , the owners Ron and Maggie are a real pleasure to work with they cannot do enough for you, they really want you to enjoy their beautiful home and have a wonderful holiday. The house is bright and airey and fully equipped with everything you would possibly need. The pool and spa are fantastic and when we did manage to get the kids out of it there is plenty to do on sea pines , Harbour town , the beaches and the Salty dog cafe to name but a few. We went to Shelter cove to the harbourfest to watch the fireworks which was good fun. The kids loved seeing the dolphins in the bay and the ocean we loved driving past the lakes alligator spotting as coming from England we dont see this wildlife everyday! We all had a wonderful holiday and we really recommend this house as your place to stay this was our first time to HH and we will definatley be back thanks Ron and Maggie for letting us share you home and a wonderful holiday....

The home was wonderful and exactly as advertised, if not better. Photos were spot on. Owners were a dream to work with. We have rented from VRBO many times and have always had a good experience, but this home has been our favorite hands down. We love Hilton Head and we have visited a number of times, staying at a new place each time. Staying at this house made for our best trip yet and if it is not available next time we visit, I would be very sad :(. Hence, I encourage you to rent, just not when we come to HHI to visit :) Owners Ron & Maggie were so easy to work with and immediately responsive to any questions, concerns etc... Rental contract is very fair & they were unbelievably helpful, kind and MORE than accommodating. You can rent from them with confidence. Home is beautiful. We stayed for a week, which is longer than we have before and still were so sad we had to leave. The pool was beautiful; the home was VERY well maintained and CLEAN. I am neurotic about cleanliness and terrified or bugs. Needless to say, neither one of these was ever a concern. It was very spacious, but still had a cozy feel. The layout of the house is great. The kitchen was well stocked, it had everything we needed and we made most of our own meals—there is an excellent selection of restaurants nearby. The gas grill is a great benefit. We really could not have been more satisfied. I would recommend to family & friends in a heartbeat. In fact, we already have. The location of the house is GREAT for the price--I do not know that you can find better deal---especially for such a beautiful home with a private pool. You are close to everything and there are great neighborhood amenities. Best advice I can give you is to rent bikes, as you can bike almost everywhere. They are so inexpensive (we went w/Bike Doctor). You can bike to the beach or if you want to bring coolers and chairs (kindly provided by owners) it is a quick drive to the beach club. Best dolphin viewing we found was between mile markers 1 and 4. We also highly recommend going to the beach at night, it is beautiful to listen to the waves under the moonlight. We will definitely be back to HHI & our first choice for a place to stay is the Starfish Cottage. While the house is a dream, the kindness and professionalism of Ron & Maggie is what seals the deal for us. Thanks Ron & Maggie for sharing your home with us--we loved it!!

We had a fantastic time at Starfish Cottage on Sea Pines in Hilton Head. We loved the location and the quiet morning walks. We would definitely recommend the home to friends and are making plans to stay there again next summer. We enjoyed all of our favorite restaurants and my boys loved the golf and we all loved the beach! My parents had a nice time as well. My boys really did not mind hanging out with the parents out by the pool each night. We used the pool and deck every day(morning for coffee, cool off in the afternoon and to enjoy the pleasant night air after dinner. Thanks so much for allowing us to spend a very relaxing, enjoyable vacation in your home!!!
