This beautiful home is located a top Strawberry Mountain in White Salmon, Washington and situated on the bluff over looking the Columbia River Gorge, with a breathtaking birds eye view. Beautiful two story, 4,500 sq ft home with 5 bedrooms, 3 and a half bathrooms, sleeps 10 in beds, 12 maximum occupancy. Be amazed when you enter the home through the large wood framed glass doors into the foyer, where a 12x12 pyramid skylight is set over top the handcrafted wood spiral stair case. Admire the expansive views the moment you walk through the doors and see clear to the river from the 12 foot span Pella windows. Enjoy the unobstructed view of Mt. Hood from the South views of the kitchen, living room and sun room.
The homes warm Bamboo plank and Travertine floors are heated with radiant heat during the Winter. The gas fireplace is set in a warm hearth of Slate and large wood mantle. The home has Central gas heat. The AC is a "Home Comfort System" and displays the temp in each room. Each room has a media pad enjoying music through out the home. The kitchen hosts two dish washers, a Dacor 4 burner gas range, Sub zero, and custom Austrian Pear cabinetry set over Black and Emerald Granite slab. The living room table seats 8-10. The sun room is great for relaxing or viewing the windsurfers and kite-boarders, use the telescope for an extra close look. The upright electric piano in the living room is nice for the music enthusiast. The master bedroom has a lovely sitting room and separate enclosed sun room, master bath with Jacuzzi tub, large enclosed Travertine tile shower with steam room, his and her vanities, laundry room and walk in closet. The upstairs media room has a large screen TV and a movie library. Four of the bedrooms have river views and the fifth room faces the garden. The master bedroom and East facing room are located upstairs. The other three bedrooms and two bathrooms are located downstairs along with the second laundry room. The large living area downstairs has a large sectional couch, two chairs and a wall mounted flat screen TV. Feel safe and secure with the security system that alerts you when any of the doors are opened.
"Maggie" the outdoor cat lives at the property. She is 12 years old and afraid of most people. She doesn't like going to the kennel, so we hope you don't mind her staying home. She is not allowed into the house and will not try to enter. Please do not try to invite her into the house. She has a cat door into the garage and she will eat and sleep in there, but you may never even see her. You don't have to worry about feeding her, that is all taken care of.
Will send more photos upon request. Thank you

Immaculate and state of the art is how I would describe this home! From the ping pong table, entertainment center, and huge kitchen to the quiet beauty of nature and spectacular views of the Columbia River and Mt. Hood. What could have been a very stressful week ended up to be a most memorable time with family and friends as we celebrated our daughter's wedding. 12 of us gathered together from Illinois and Southern California. We needed lots of room to work, play and relax before the wedding and this home provided all of that and more. Everything about this home was above and beyond our expectations!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Thank you!

This was our home for a week during our daughter's wedding at Skamania lodge. The house sets on what I would consider the premier viewpoint of the Columbia River, the city of Hood River and Mount Hood. It is everything it is advertised to be. It easily sleeps 12. It is perfect for entertaining larger parties. It is well-equipped with TVs, games and all the necessities. The appliances are top notch and very large. We have a large and nice home and sometimes are disappointed when we travel to others. This is most defintely not the case with this one. I will say the outside pictures do not do it justice. I can't compare it to any others in the area, but I highly recommend this beautiful home to anyone. In addition, the property management person, Julie, was very accommodating and easy to work with. As always you need good communication when you move your entire family, as we did, thousands of miles to stay for a week, and she was always there for us. I would be willing to be a contact for anyone with need for further information.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: I'm pleased you all enjoyed yourselves!

The view.....the view!!! Add to that a fantastic home which has capitalized on the view and you have the perfect spot for a Gorge vacation. The home was as good or better than presented in the photos, well-appointed, and clean throughout. The huge dining room table allowed the 10 of us to gather for meals....a rarity. In the Gorge there are lots of hikes, wineries, and museums and the weather is usually a little better than it is on the coast. Our agent was especially helpful. This is definitely a great place to rent.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Our daughters wedding was in Mt Hood area on July 5, 2009. For the 4th of July weekend we (the brides parents) and the grooms family (from Alabama) wanted to share a home rental together that would have room for all of us & let us have a "fireworks viewing party" Sat night of the weekend. WOW!! Was this ever the perfect house!! Julie, on the management side of things, was a pleasure to work with-knowledgeable about the property and so helpful in working out details. The owner, also was flexible regarding the start and end dates of our rental. Being able to stay in this gorgeous home with it's incredible views, and amazing kitchen and bedroom space helped make for a perfect weekend! What great memories. We are grateful !! Thank-you !!!!! Margie and John HamOwner response: Glad it all worked out well. We loved having you:)
