One of Maui's finest beaches, it offers excellent swimming, snorkeling and Whale watching in season (Nov.-April) Sunsets over the ocean are magnificent!
Our condo is on the ground floor with a view of the tropical gardens,one bedroom, large 5ft. all tiled shower, fully appointed kitchen,dining/living room with new LaZboy queen size sofa-bed,private lanai, and reserved parking space.

My son and I bought C 214 from friends of mine in June of 2000. Kyle is a builder in West Michigan he took his subcontractors to Maui 3 years ago for a month to totally "gut" and re-model our unit. I am a widow and also live in MI. I retired from Herman Miller Inc. 17 years ago. My entire family (4) children and (9) grandchildren LOVE Maui!
Why the Owner Chose Kihei Akahi
Both Kyle and his wife, and my late husband and I had rented the condo from my friends. Never dreamed I would one day own it, along with Kyle. Kyle was going to rent it again from the Klages and they told me it was "up for sale". Kyle said "did you tell them we wanted to buy it" to which I replied " I didn't know we did"! We talked with Klages and it just all worked out.
IT was definitely a new experience for me owning rental property.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
I just feel totally relaxed on Maui. I think the local citizens are very friendly and helpful.
Have met a lot of nice guests. I enjoy being in short walking distance to cafe's, shopping, beach and ocean. Never tire of watching the sunsets, and seeing the whales. There are so many activities you can find new things on every trip.

We rented this condo and found it to be clean, quiet, and relaxing. It was also well stocked. Great talking with you Twyla. We loved the ground floor lani. Close walk to the beach, shopping,and restaurants. The washer and dryer gave us some issues, but overall worked out ok. We would definitly rent it agian and recommend it. Thanks again Twylla.

We had a great 4 week stay with our two small children. Being able to walk out the back sliding door onto the grass was so convienient to head to the pools, beach, car, barbeques, definately the best feature for us with the little ones. The condo was easy to keep clean and had great appliances, loved the filtered water from the fridge, no need for bottled water. Other than a few 'stuffy' residents we felt relatively welcome with our kids being kids in the courtyard and pools, especially when other couples with kids were around...strength in numbers! As for constructive criticism, we slept on the Hide-a-bed so we could stay up after the kids went to sleep, not to be too negative but is there such thing as a comfortable Hide-a-bed? The other thing was trying to find a decent knife, something I have found to be common to other condos I have rented, its like crumby knives come as standard issue. Now that is getting picky. My one beef was with the cleaning lady. At the end of our stay we had to get out and stay at the place my parents were renting for the afternoon, the cleaning lady knew this as I went back a couple of times to get stuff out of the fridge. We left one drawer full of relatively valuble clothes, that she found and did not contact us about. It was weeks later when we noticed them missing and I had to track her down and send money before she would send them back. In the end she could not arrange this on her own so I had to arrange for Fed Ex to do a pickup. Long story short, don't forget anything, you will pay for it. I guess jobs are hard to find in paradise .
Owner response:We appreciate when guests make suggestions as to what they would like in our kitchen. Our check in time is 3p and check out time is 12 noon! If guests need a later check out they are to arrange that with me at time of booking. If we do not have back to back bookings we can accommodate their requests. If however, we do book someone we will notify them what time they need to check out so the condo can be ready for incoming guests .This takes 3hrs.to prepare. When checking out please check all storage area's to be sure you do not forget any personal items. If you lose something during your visit please leave a note , describe t he item and leave name, address@, phone # . It will be mailed to you C.O.D.if we find the lost item in our condo. My wife and I have just returned after a fantastic week at your condo. The ground floor lanai was great and the general convenience to everything; beaches, restaurants, Wailea, etc. was excellent! We'd definitely choose this condo again.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We stayed on Maui in March of 2009. This condo was so perfectly located for everything we wanted to do ~ a very cental location. Kamaole Beach, which is across the street from the condo, is amazing! We loved the area. We loved the condo. The condo was extremely clean and we felt very much at home. In fact, so much so, we have already made a reservation to go back in 2010!! Maui is absolutely beautiful and Kihei Akahi is perfect. Out of curiosity, we did search other condos/hotels on Maui for our 2010 stay and you will not find a better deal. Not even close! Don't pass this one up!
