If you are looking for a nice place to stay, that feels like home -nestled amongst the trees, cozy, modern & clean, then look no further than "Marmot's Nest"! It is a wonderful spot for families, friends or couples. PLUS... there is no cost to park and there are no hotel or other taxes added to our rates(most other rentals do add these costs onto your booking)!!!! As well, we have a direct walkway to our unit from the driveway, many at Whistler have A LOT of stairs to get to your place! (A hassle when carrying ski equipment or groceries etc.)
We are proud to share with you that our unit has been inspected by the Vancouver Olympic
Organizing Committee (VANOC) as part of our contract to rent our unit to them during the Olympics. Our unit met their top/best tier rating. There were several categories that had to be met to achieve this ranking. This is an independent source that rated our unit so we thought it might be useful to you in making your rental decision.
We are conveniently located just 300 meters from Creekside Village. This is where the gondola for Whistler Mountain is located. Ski lessons and rentals are also available here.
There are lots of amenities as well: grocery & liquor store, restaurants, Starbucks, bank etc. Dusty's Bar/Pub is located right beside the Gondola and is a great apres-ski, lunch or evening hangout.
Undercover parking is available just out front. There is one small step up but besides that, it is a straight, flat entrance to our unit - no stairs or elevators to deal with. Very handy when you are unloading equipment, supplies, kids etc.
Our unit is 770 square feet. It is a top floor, end unit. The entrance level has the master bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living room & laundry room - where there is a safe storage area for your skis/boards and other equipment.
The master bedroom is equipped with a large set of drawers and full closet. The kitchen and bathrooms have just been renovated with granite countertops, modern appliances and fixtures.
The kitchen has everything you would ever need - we have had many compliments as to how well stocked it is!! Some of the extras we have available - blender, rice maker, coffee grinder, waffle maker, vases, water pitcher, serving trays, cookie sheets, salad spinner.. the list goes on.
We supply complimentary coffee (regular & decaf), coffee filters, tea, sugar, salt & pepper, spices, plastic wrap, tinfoil, & baggies - who wants to buy this stuff when they are away?
The loft area has a private bedroom with a queen size bed & an open area that has a futon. The area is well lit, spacious and has full drawer sets for both areas. There is also a second bathroom upstairs with a shower- all new!
The dining table seats four but can also be extended to seat six for larger groups. The living room is cozy with two couches & sixteen foot ceilings.
Things to do - Enjoy the soaker tub, relax by the wood burning fireplace, have a nice meal, listen to music or watch the birds through the large living room windows. Take in a movie on our 39 inch flat panel tv. We have a selection of DVDs, board games, CDs & an MP3 connection cord for the stereo for your use as well. If you want to surf the internet, we have WiFi available.
Why leave Fido at home? We love our dog and she vacations with us so we wanted to pass this option onto you. We ask that only well trained dogs that will not mess, chew or bark be brought to our property. (Any damage will be charged to your credit card). Sorry, no cats (or any other pets) allowed due to severe allergies. Dog fee is $15.00/night/dog (Max. two dogs). For those of you without dogs, the unit is well cleaned after each rental so it is in good condition.
!!!!! NO TAXES ARE ADDED TO OUR RATES!!!

Great spot. Comfortable place and very hospitable owners. Everything one might be looking for for a simple get away to the mountains. Although not huge, great even for three to five.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, pet owners, girls getaway, families with teenagers.

Place came very well stocked and also very clean. Bathrooms with shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotions, and lots of towels. Kitchen has tons of pots and pans, spices!!, and also coffee/tea/sugar. Extra blankets for the bedrooms. Also a grill to use (we didn't try but it looked nice). We cooked breakfast and dinner here without a problem. Dishwasher really made that a lot easier too. Location was great, walked to the slopes. Came with free parking although car not necessary to get around, we didn't use car to go sking/snowboarding. Nearby grocery and liquor store and places to eat. Place was perfect for 2 couples, separation of bedrooms/bathrooms upstairs and downstairs allowed for lots of privacy and able to do stuff like watch movies/talk in livingroom without disturbing whoever might be sleeping in one of the bedrooms. Would definitely come back or recommend to a friend!

This property is very well maintained, organized, fully-equipped kitchen, easy access to Creekside village and gondola. We could easily cook a full meal, enjoyed the big screen TV for movies, internet connection was helpful, ski closet handy to keep organized, great no stairs for easy unloading. Lovely features, fresh, bathrooms in great condition. Wonderful that we could bring our dog with us, too. Easy walk to Creekside to catch bus to WHistler Village. Unit very fairly priced. Owner was tremendously helpful, above and beyond for all our questions and needs. We have already recommended this property and hope to return again!

Family of 4 adults and 1 baby had a very cozy stay! We went just a couple of weeks before Christmas to celebrate early and it was a wonderful stay! The kitchen had everything we needed - all spices and basics of pots and pans (suited for a bachelor pad - not necessarily a "gourmet" kitchen - but who's here to cook anyways!) Distance to Whistler Creekside was a total bonus - although we never walked...kinda lazy...but we definitely COULD have if we got stranded. Easy loading of food and luggage as the unit is at the end of a driveway, and parking is close and underground in case of heavy snowfall. Washrooms were very clean and even had 2 people using both showers at once without trouble. In House washer and dryer a definite bonus as well! Thanks for the great stay! Will definitely be back! Cheers!

Our family of 4 adults and 1 baby thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Marmot's Nest. The location was convenient to walking paths, a restaurant ( Duffy's) and many scenic outings at the centre of Whistler Village. The apartment is well equipped with everything that you might need for a comfortable stay. We cooked and ate all our meals "in house". There even is a small balcony to sit on to enjoy the scenery while having before dinner drinks.

We have stayed at the Marmot's Nest for the past 3 years for a total of 6 weeks. It's the perfect get away with all the conveniences of home... fireplace, BBQ, big screen TV's and covered parking tucked in amongist the trees and close to the slopes. It's tastefully decorated and this year the townhouse was remodeled with new carpets and added a second bedroom and bath. Olympic, ski, and outdoor photographs is the perfect motif. The Marmot's Nestis a great place to relax and we plan to make it part of our ski vacations for years to come.

We have stayed at Marmot's Nest several times now and the name doesn't lie...it truly is a fabulous 'nest' on Creekside. So very well equipped and cozy, you'll want for nothing and feel right at home here. The 'nest' is a perfect spot for a getaway to Whistler...and a walk away from the lifts!!!

Thanks so much for your wonderfully equipped home. Only issue was that past renters had taken extra parking pass so made it a bit difficult for any visitor. Other than that wonderful location and great space. We would definitely return.
Owner response:Trish, thanks for your comments. Sorry about the parking pass, during the time you were renting (NY's) our strata only allows one parking pass. We look forward to having you again! Regards, Jessica & David

Thanks for a great place to stay. It was unfortunate the sun disappeared on us but we still took in the beautiful sights! We hope to come back again soon when it snows! Best, (guest book entry)
