Location: Nokomis, Florida South West, Florida, USA (North of Venice Beach and South of Sarasota)

Accommodations:  Cottage with a Lanai, 1 Bedroom + Sleeping Porch, 1 Bath (Sleeps 6)

The community that this cottage is located in is a "Royal Coachman" community. There are large oak, pine and palm trees which makes for a very pleasant, peaceful attractive setting. We started visiting this community 4 years ago to visit my parents and decided to buy last year . People that rented our place wound up buying in the community as well. This tells you how great of a place it is. The streets that wind through the community are narrow and people regularly walk, ride bikes and take golf carts. The roads are more like walking paths. Cars travel very slowly.

The dimensions of the main part of our cottage is 12 by 34. The lanai is 10 by 34 and has a full sized futon in it as well as a portable closet with 2 drawers in the bottom should you have guests. The living room has a pull out couch. Everything in the house is well maintained and attractive.

This community has activities for everyone. There is an attractive heated pool which has water aerobics classes, two beach volleyball courts, canoes that can be used and launched at the community boat beach into a waterway that will take you eventually to the gulf. There is weekly bocce ball, ping pong, horse shoes, shuffleboard, tennis, miniature golf, a variety of exercise classes, arts and crafts classes, cultural activities, a bike club, pot luck dinners, community chorus a weight room and library. Gulf beaches are only a 10 minute drive. I probably left something out.

We only have the month of February available as of Aug.10, 2009. We are asking $1,900 for the month plus elec. which runs anywhere from $60-$90.
