This was probabably the best family vacation that we have taken. The condo was very clean and had everythng that you would need. The owner went above and beyond to make certain that we enjoyed our stay. I just cannot say enough about the vacation, the condo and the owner. This is a place that we will be visiting again. Thank you Dorothea!!

Dorothea is not only a great owner and caretaker of her rental, but she truly cares about her visitors. Though our trip was short, the bed we laid our heads down each night was important - and Dorothea has thought of everything. From the scentsy burner to the provided spaghetti sauce, she has really personalized this place for such an amazing stay. We loved visiting Amelia Island, it has such an ecletic feel to it and were deeply pleased with what we got to experience. We will visit again and hopefully this will be available. Thank you Dorothea!

We visited in April with a family of 2 adults and 4 young teenagers - the condo was lovely - quiet - shady and cool - the owner was very welcoming and accommodating & the condo had all the amenities you would need for traveling. The lagoon was tranquil and the teens thoroughly enjoyed the pool and tennis courts and we enjoyed breakfast every morning on the balcony. Amelia Island is a beautiful historic area which we visit often and our stay this time was even more enjoyable with the rental of this beautiful condo.

WOW! What a great time we had in mid to the end of February of this year and even the weather cooperated. Condo was everthing advertised and then some, it was clean, well stocked, nicely decorated and convenient to everything. Dorothea met us and took us to condo, explained everything, told us of best restaurants and followed up with us. Fernandina Beach has great restaurants, shopping, antiques and dock area and we were close to the beach. We took the cruise out by Cumberland Island (great fun), toured the Fort on Fernandina Beach (interesting) took side trips to beaches in Georgia and visited St. Augustine while down there. Besides the many restaurants Dorothea will tell you about we enjoyed a nice lunch in the courtyard at The Happy Tomato, lunch at Brett's on the pier and a great dinner at a little Italin place on 3rd Avenue. We had never been to area before and found lots to do and would recomment it to anyone. While we were there Fernandina Beach had much going on, Chili cookoff, Meet with Authors and a Saturday market. We even had a great experience at the church where everyone was friendly and the violin music was inspiring. Used the local library to print my boarding pass and they were most helpful. GREAT LITTLE TOWN! Relaxing vacation and extremely easy to get around town.

We would highly recommend this rental! The owner (Dorthea) was very helpful and informative. She met use at the condo and gave many recommendations for places to eat and things to do in the area. The condo was beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. Very comfortable for two couples. Thanks again!

I recently stayed with my sisters and Mom for her 80th birthday at this condo. The owner met us there very late at night and even brought us breakfast for the next morning. The condo is fully packed with lots of extras that you might normally have to bring and since we were flying this was perfect. It was very clean, thanks again. short walk to the beach.

Let me first say I should have posted over a month ago! Our family of 5 stayed in this condo New Years Eve during our trip to the Gator Bowl and first visit to Amelia Island. While our loss to Florida State was bittersweet, we had a wonderful trip! The condo more than met our needs for a two night stay, the room to "spread out" was a welcome relief for the kids after a 10++ hour car ride. We had no problems or complaints with the condo, but if there were any we have little doubt that they would have been corrected immediately. The owner's attention to our accommodations and apparent love and knowledge of Amelia Island was very comforting. You could not go wrong with this condo or owner.

We stayed here during Labor day weekend. It was very nice and accesible to the beach. We have two small kids and we took our bikes and bike stroller. We used the stroller to push them to the beach. It was about a five minute stroll to the beach. We had a great time. The condo is fully stocked with the essentials. The condo was very clean and nice.

I stayed at this delightful condo a few months ago. At the time, my computer refused to post a response. This time, I am late but successful. Upon entry, I was met with the scent of a fresh and clean dwelling. Everything in the condo was shiny and new. I was surprised at the unexpected touches and provisions that made it seem as if the condo was welcoming me. For example, the owners thoughtfully stocked a few grocery items for guests to use if they wished to avoid leaving the condo the first night--including coffee for the next morning! Disposable cups, plates, napkins, foil, plastic wrap, tissue paper and such were on hand. The Spanish influenced decor intertwined with a gracious southern accent created an inviting, enchanting atmosphere; in addition, the owners made me feel welcome, pampered, and confident that I could depend on them if needed. The wicker/rattan living room furniture was very comfortable and so old-worldly beautiful, as were several other pieces of furniture in the condo. The kitchen and dining areas were heavenly. Every kitchen appliance, sparkling new, I could imagine was available, including a toaster oven, a blender, a coffee brewer, a microwave, a can opener, a dishwasher, full range, and new refrigerator. The solid granite counter tops were the finishing touch. The kitchen was so well arranged that I made sketches of the layout since I am considering remodeling my kitchen. Everything one could ask for in a kitchen to cook and dine was provided, from wine glasses to shiny pots and pans. The location was an end unit bordering a natural wooded area, providing a quiet, secluded feeling, while still having neighboring guests nearby. I stayed several days and nights alone and felt secure leaving and returning to the condo, even after nightfall. The lighted walkway to the front door was helpful and welcoming. The bed slept well--and I am hard to please as far as mattresses go. If I had to complain about something, it would be the bathroom sinks. The bright, Spanish-tile design of the sink basin caused me to spend extra time at the sinks admiring the patterns. Moreover, they were settled into old and beautiful ornate cabinets. They were unusual, appealing, and enhanced the decor. The wall artworks were captivating. Several paintings were originals, showing scenes of the historic downtown. The interior of this villa is not the same boring décor often found in rental units. Obviously, much thought and skill in inte
