Review was posted by guest on FlipKey/Trip Advisor: We enjoyed our stay at the Mahana Rm 411 very much! The view was spectacular as you have a balcony off of the master bedroom as well as from the living area, which both look right onto the ocean. We often saw dolphins jumping and I heard that in the spring the whale watching is plentiful as well. The patio and living room also look out onto the pool area, which is also adequate. This is te closest rental property to the beach that we have found as it is truly beach front!! There is not not much beach area directly in front of the Mahana, but there is great beach within walking distance on either side. However, unlike other areas of Maui, you can walk along the beach for miles!!! Whalers Village is close by and is a beautiful walk! Black Rock is a great place to snorkel and swim, if you want to encounter sea turtles. Close to grocery stores...location is terrific!! We found the beds to be very comfortable, and we are fairly picky with respect to this, and another great feature was the excellent working air conditioning unit!! We would definitely stay here again!!

The Mahana complex was a most excellent place to stay, wonderfully located, beautifully maintaned, warmly staffed etc. Unit 411 was perfect for our needs, very comfortable and fairly priced. The view from the double wide lanai was stunning and close proximity to the ocean was relaxing and inspiring. We will definitely stay again and are already saving our pennies for the next trip! Highly recommended.

"Great Oceanfront Experience" Service from ChasenRainbows was first-rate. Unit was clean and fresh...well furnished and kitchen was well equipped. Favorite was the corner location and the lanai...beautiful sunsets and visibility of whales, dolphins and surfers.Least favorite was the parking lot repavement project which created problems with overnight parking...also the "refurbishment" of other units which was taking place( I guess a hazard of "off-season".Location was great...with walking beach path all the way (a good distance!) to Whalers Village and proximity of local grocery and other conveniences.Would definitely recommend.

"fourth time was charm hope to be back in 2012" as always love to hear the ocean. the remodel of the kitchen was very nice. a new mattress in the master would be nice. service from chase'nrainbows was superior. location, location, location

"First time in Maui and we had a wonderful time!" Service with Chase n Rainbows, with Linda mostly was outstanding. She was always available to help us out with a great attitude. The last day with the brush fire we weren't sure if we could get to the airport and if not where we would stay, Linda helped us through the couple hours and the road opened back up, darn it, we had to go home. The unit was great, just about everything you need, except grilling tools, and the cord for the radio/cd player. Sunsets from the lanai? Outstanding! Whale watching from the lanai? You betcha! The Mahana was excellent, the crew was friendly and they kept that place in tip top shape, even scrubbing the grills every morning. Location is great, not too much hustle & bustle. The tennis court could use a little TLC but it was still playable. We would come back to the Mahana anytime.
