When we first walked in we felt instantly at home (if we owned a luxury log cabin that is). Irma's home is perfect in every way! The setting is fantastic, probably one of the best views in Idyllwild, the house itself looks like it's brand new, it is beautifully done. Irma was very responsive and accommodating. We will definitely return!

We had a lovely 3 days at the "Log Cabin in the Sky!" The view was outrageous. You can truly see the ocean glistening from the backyard deck. We had a group of 8 and were perfectly comfortable. Fantastic craftsmanship throughout the house, lovely fireplace. Just perfect. We'll definitely return! Thanks again!! B

Gorgeous and Wonderful Stay - Best Views in Idyllwild!

We just had the most wonderful snowy weekend here with another family. Having two levels, our two young toddlers with different schedules still got great sleep while they were here. It was so amazingly beautiful here with the views of the mountains from high above. This cabin was very nicely appointed with all the things you need for a comfortable stay, kitchen amenities and a warm, inviting fireplace. I don't think you can find a nicer, more luxurious place to stay in Idyllwild (and I looked around a lot!) nor will you find friendlier, more helpful owners. I would definitely go back to this beautiful slice of heaven again!

Happy New Year at Casa Finlandia

Our family and our friend's family wanted to do something different for New Years this year. After searching the many homes available we came across Casa Finlandia and it's wonderful owner, Irma. The home is everything the description says it is. Beautiful wood floors, tile and granite throughout, stainless steel appliances, and oh yeah, a view to die for. It had snowed in Idyllwild a couple of days before our arrival. The town, as well as the home, looked like a winter wonderland. The home was warm and inviting, with everything we needed to begin relaxing. We started a fire which kept the great room cozy the whole time we were there. Within an hour of Palm Springs, we took a day to travel on the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway and dine atop the mountain. Sledding, shopping, and dining at several fantastic local restaurants kept everyone as busy as they wanted to be. The people in Idyllwild are very nice and take pride in their town. We are already talking about when we'll be back! Thank your Irma for opening your home to us and allowing us to start off 2013 in style!

Wonderful Family Getaway

We got the family together for Mom's 70th birthday. There were 7 of us, including two teenagers, plus a dog. The cabin was comfortable and cozy, and made for a perfect stay. The cabin is a beautiful as it looks in the pictures. At sunset, the sky was amazing and cast a golden light in the upstairs living area that was unreal. We cooked dinner the first night on the barbecue and in the well-appointed kitchen, and after, we hung out by the fireplace that has a fan to blow warm air into the room. The cabin is up high so it has great views of Hemet Lake and the forest, and it's only minutes to town. Irma was quick to get back to me with any questions I had (via email). We had a great time and we will be back!

What a wonderful place!! Every detail of this beautiful cabin and the craftsmanship was like an art form. Our children loved the amenities and our stay was enjoyable. The cabin was clean, well-maintained and as beautiful as depicted in the listing. The view from the deck was no less than spectacular. It was simply mesmerizing. Outdoor activities such as hiking on nature trails were fun and therapeutic. Our stay was...just fantastic. The owner was very kind and thoroughly helpful. Communication line was always open. This is one place I would recommend, highly recommend, to all those traveling to Idyllwild.

Advertised as a million dollar home, this log home also has the very best of Million Dollar Views!! My family and I gasped at the ocean view that peaks just between 3 and 4pm each afternoon. Our stay offered the most incredible weather allowing us the enjoyment of spectacular views. We definately plan on visiting again and would love to stay in this home.

Our family stayed here over the past weekend and it was wonderful! The pictures depict it perfectly and the description is right on. Our group consisted of myself, my husband and our 19 month old, my father in law, sister in law, and brother in law with his girlfriend. We all had more than enough space and privacy which was greatly appreciated. It was so nice to have another family room downstairs so that everyone was still able to enjoy themselves after the baby went to sleep. We all enjoyed the wrap around patio where we did yoga in the morning and barbecued while the sunset. Monica, Sasha and Cosette (I think that is right) were wonderful and the booking was very easy. There was no issues at all getting a hold of someone if needed which is a good feeling when you are not familiar with the area. We had dinner on Saturday night at Cafe Aroma which Monica mentioned as an excellent place to eat and it was! My advice would be to make sure you get reservations early because it fills up very fast especially on the weekend. I will absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for an exceptional place to retreat from the busy hectic life we all seem to lead. Thank you again from all the Goldmans!

What a beautiful home. Very spacious and luxurious with many fine upgrades. We were fortunate to be at this home when the snow levels were to drop near 1000 feet over the weekend as this cold storm approached southern California. I was watching the weather report all week in anticipation of lots of snow for my boy to play in. We checked in Friday mid day and began to unwind. It began to snow near 4pm in the afternoon and it snowed all night throughout most of the next day Saturday. We got nearly 2.5 feet of snow at this 5600 elevation. The scenery was breathtaking. Children were happy and playing and eating snow. There was so much snow that we were sledding on the small hill facing the garage. We woke up Sunday morning to sunny skies and amazing views of Lake Perris and all the trees were covered in white. Very fine experience. Thank you so much for the memories

We all had a wonderful stay. Everything was just as outstanding as we thought it would be. We just love the view and the Log Cabin style. The cabin was clean, comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. We had only one small problem, not being able to understand how the cable TV worked. We called Adrian, and within no time he was there help us out. Our fist night we had dinner at La Casita Mexican Restaurant, we all thought it good. We also like going to Cafe Aroma, they have a nice wine list and the entrees are great! The next day we had rain, but managed to enjoy the Art Walk & Wine Tasting. We then went back to the cabin and BBQ a great dinner on the deck. The views from the deck are so breath taking, you feel like, your "On Top of the World". Thank you Adrian for letting us stay in this gorgeous home. The views are just stunning. We were fortunate to have near perfect weather while we there so we were able to most of the weekend on the upstairs deck. Pictures don't do the view justice, it is something you have to experience in person. The beds were very comfortable and there were lots of nice touches to make it a great weekend. We hosted a small super bowl and all of our guests just raved about the house. I would definitely recommend the trip up the hill. Thank you again for your hospitality. The Webster Family.
