Sitting directly above Toxaway Falls, this top floor condominium has been completely renovated, including new Pergo floors and furniture throughout. Enjoy a crackling fire in the living room or bedroom, as both have wood-burning fireplaces, and both lead onto the private deck through large glass-sliding doors to a magnificent mountain and waterfall view. The bedroom features a pillow-top, king-size bed and flat screen TV. In the spacious livingroom, you'll find a leather queen sleeper sofa, 42' flat screen TV, stereo, CD player and DVD with DVD library. You can bring your laptop and hook up to our complimentary DSL internet. There are two full bathrooms, a full capacity washer and dryer, dishwasher, and fully equipped kitchen. All linens and towels are included. Just bring your toothbrush!
Toxaway Falls is located just off main Highway 64 and is sitting right in the middle of pristine beauty and panoramic views, including hundreds of natural waterfalls, Pisgah Forest, Gorges State Park and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Cashiers, Brevard, Sapphire Valley and Highlands are a short drive away, and Asheville is 45 minutes away.
If you enjoy the outdoors, there are numerous trails to hike or bike, or you can go fishing, rafting, canoeing, golfing and skiing in the winter. The area boasts a diversity of wonderful restaurants, including one just a short walk up the hill. Brevard Music Center offers day and evening concerts all summer, some of which are free. The world famous Biltmore Estates, which is the largest home in America, is in Asheville, and offers tours of the home, gardens and winery. Spend the day in Asheville exploring cozy coffee shops, quaint antique stores, art studios, fabulous restaurants and shopping galore. The drive to Highlands is breathtaking, and once you're there, you'll find loads of hiking trails, restaurants to please every palate, a huge variety of shops for every taste, and beautifully tree-lined streets if you just want to enjoy the scenery.

The condo was even better than described. The view was amazing from the deck, the inside was very well decorated, clean and spacious and the overall location was great. The weather was perfect so it allowed us to sleep with the sliding glass door partially open to hear the waterfall at night. The kitchen had everything we needed to make our meals each day. The location of the condo was close to many of the local towns and hiking trails/waterfalls. We had 4 adults and a 1 year old and had plenty of room, plus we were even able to bring our small dog. We hope to rent the same place next year and make it a tradition. I have already recommended this place to two other friends. Highly recommended!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We have been visiting Lake Toxaway yearly since 2005 as RV owners. RV has been sold and we have transitioned to renting. We were familiar with this condo complex and found this unit to be outstanding in every way. The location and view is outstanding. Condo is nicely furnished and immaculately maintained. Owner was very professional and delightful to work with. One suggestion for improvement we would make is that the owner consider providing a nice reclining chair for her guests. A recliner would be welcomed after a long day of hiking or sight seeing. This is particularly important for comfort and relaxation for the "older" guest. As guests, we were pleasantly surprised with the bottle of wine and box of candy the owner so graciously had waiting for us upon our arrival. We would recommend this unit to anyone looking for a quality, well maintained vacation rental.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway.

I loved the Toxaway Falls condo. The bed was comfortable, the sheets and bedding items were excellent. The drawer and closet space amazing. The rooms were all well appointed and large - not cramped. The view was spectacular at all times so even when we were unable to leave we had an excellent front row seat! All well stocked items for taking care of us during our stay - all we had to do was buy food. I would recommend this condo to anyone wanting a 1 bedroom place at a very affordable price. I was also able to take my pet which was a great bonus.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Great location; pictures don't do justice to views from the deck. Condo is well equipped and tastefully decorated - no kitsch. Was a little concerned that it would be too close to highway but this wasn't a problem at all - the entrancing sound of the falls takes over from the minor amount of traffic noise. Owners responded quickly to all communication. Loved having our dogs with us!Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners.

Beautiful and well equipped condo with spacious deck overlooking large waterfall. Nice community swimming pool on the premises. Opportunities for tubing or white water rafting. Near Brevard and its cultural events, and good restaurants. Good bargain for a couple.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway.

My boyfriend and spent a long weekend getaway at this beautiful condo overlooking Toxaway Falls. I have vacationed in this area many times with my children and parents, but this was the fitst visit for him. This condo was perfect for us. Well equipped and beautifully decorated and such a great view. Also, a treat to fall asleep and wake to the sound of the waterfall. We visited all the local waterfalls, went whitewater rafting and went to Chimney Rock Park. We ate at some nice restaurants too, Carolina Smokehouse and Cornucopia in Cashiers. There was a cute little coffee and pizza house called Amore's that we also enjoyed. I love this area and have many great memories. This trip added more and our accomodations were great. We chose this particular cabin because it was as close to a waterfall as possible. It very much lived up to that expectation -- the views and sounds were spectacular! There was even a well-maintained path down to the falls themselves! Its also in a perfect spot, being close to both the Brevard and Highlands areas. The Brown Trout Grille and Country Cupboard are both also right there and highly recommended. And of course everything inside was what you would expect for a nice cabin -- everything was thought of, including in the kitchen, and the tvs, dvd player, and internet all worked great!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway.

We enjoyed our stay and especially enjoyed exploring nearby Brevard as well as various hikes. We recommend Dupont State Park, specifically a waterfall called High Falls. It's beautiful and an easy hike from the road! This is fun to do in combination with a day trip to Brevard. Closer to Toxoway we enjoyed Rainbow Falls and Whitewater Falls. About the owner: My husband and I grew up in Miami, Florida, and now reside on St. Simons Island in Georgia. We're surrounded by ocean, but also love the mountains, especially in the summer. Now we have the best of both worlds.
Why the Owner Chose Lake Toxaway:
We've been coming to the mountains of North Carolina for years and would travel to Highlands regularly. Everytime we passed Toxaway Falls, I would say 'I want a place right on the falls!'. As soon as I saw one for sale, we didn't have to think twice about buying it. We spent a couple of months completely renovating it and now we have a beautiful mountain home with a million-dollar view.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Our place is as close as you can get to Toxaway Falls. We're on the top floor and have a gorgeous waterfall and mountain view. The falls serenade you to sleep at night. Even though you're on vacation, you must get up early enough at least once to watch the sunrise over the mountains and falls. It's quite a show! The summers are mild during the day and cool at night. The fall is bursting with colors of bright yellow, red and orange. The winters are picturesque. The spring boasts flowering dogwoods and spectacular flowers. You can white-water raft in the summer and fall or ski in the winter. Or you can just do nothing but sit on the deck and watch the beauty of nature go by.
