Mountain Condo Sitting on Top of Toxaway Falls!

Year Purchased: 2008

Why the Owner Chose Lake Toxaway

We've been coming to the mountains of North Carolina for years and would travel to Highlands regularly. Everytime we passed Toxaway Falls, I would say "I want a place right on the falls!". As soon as I saw one for sale, we didn't have to think twice about buying it. We spent a couple of months completely renovating it and now we have a beautiful mountain home with a million-dollar view.

The Unique Benefits at this Condominium

Our place is as close as you can get to Toxaway Falls. We're on the top floor and have a gorgeous waterfall and mountain view. The falls serenade you to sleep at night. Even though you're on vacation, you must get up early enough at least once to watch the sunrise over the mountains and falls. It's quite a show! The summers are mild during the day and cool at night. The fall is bursting with colors of bright yellow, red and orange. The winters are picturesque. The spring boasts flowering dogwoods and spectacular flowers. You can white-water raft in the summer and fall or ski in the winter. Or you can just do nothing but sit on the deck and watch the beauty of nature go by.

Owner's Map of Lake Toxaway

My husband and I grew up in Miami, Florida, and now reside on St. Simons Island in Georgia. We're surrounded by ocean, but also love the mountains, especially in the summer. Now we have the best of both worlds.

    • Beautiful accommodations await you at this condo. It is tastefully decorated with attention to every detail. The spectacular location directly next to Toxaway Falls creates a serene & relaxing atmosphere. The towns of Brevard, Cashiers & Highlands are all nearby and offer excellent shopping, a variety of restaurants, & an abundance of outdoor activities. Thank you to the owner of this condo for making our first trip to Lake Toxaway a pleasant experience. The owner helped us to plan our visit; she provided lots of info about the area to us; and we would highly recommend her VRBO to you.

    • Thank you for sharing your retreat in the mountains, everything is so nicely decorated. The King size bed was wonderful and of course, who could ask for a better view and the sound of the waterfall to sleep by! It was a short trip to Asheville to go to the Biltmore House and accessible to many other places if we had more time.

    • What a wonderful experience!!! First of all, the condo is beautiful! and so comfortable. And the falls ... what can I say. It was wonderful to sleep to the sound of the waterfall. From the condo you can drive to just about anywhere you want to visit. The Pisgah Forest museum was great, which included a hike. I definitely want to go again!!!

    • My husband and I were able to have a long weekend away in your beautiful Condo. It was so nice to see how clean and fully stocked it was. The waterfall in the back was wonderful and we really enjoyed being able to walk up the hill for a nice dinner (with live music) and shopping for local treasures. We spent our days, peacefully tubing down the local rivers and taking hikes to see waterfalls in the area. We also took a drive to The Highlands, where a local artist festival was going on. It was very much a picturesque weekend.

    • The condo was everything you said it would be. Very clean and the view was fantastic. I can't imagine what it is with fall colors. Thanks again for a great weekend.

      Homeowner Response:
Thanks for the good comments. There's one way to find out about the fall colors - come stay in October!

    • We went on this 'spur of the moment' getaway and were very pleasantly surprised at the lovely, peaceful, retreat atmosphere of this condo. Ms. Lopez was very easy to work with and quite accomodating of our requests. The condo itself is very restful, tastefully decorated and with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The area itself has much to offer in the way of hiking, golf, restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.
