I've been comimg to the Toxaway area for years and have stayed in many places on my visits. This is the only one so far that I would definately return to again. How can anyone complain when a place is so accommodating. I will agree with all the other reviews. It is clean, and very nicely decorated. And the owners were extremely helpful. Wish I could keep the condo a secret so it would be available whenever I needed it. But, if you are looking for a wonderful place while on your travels to the mountains this one is a sure bet. I'd put my money on this one!

We found this spot for a last-minute getaway. While the crowds were at beaches for Spring Break we had the place to ourselves. The condo is tastefully decorated and fully stocked. There is obvious attention to detail and thoughtful touches. Excellent king-sized comfortable bed with a spacious bathroom. There is also a second full bath off the living area. And there is the ever-soothing sound of the falls. We slept with the sliding doors open for the sound and fresh air. It was not necessary to turn on either heat or air system once. We went out one night for a delicious dinner at the nearby Brown Trout restaurant. There are loads of hikes in the area. We took an easy one to Schoolhouse Falls in the Panthertown district near Lake Toxaway. (Visit BearTracks, a couple of miles east of the condo on Hwy 64, for maps and gear.) Beautiful area! I will be recommending this condo to friends who live in the area for extra housing when they have an overflow of family at their place. (Be aware the internet is not wireless. You will need a cable. And while Verizon has good service here others do not. AT&T on iPad does not work. If possible plan a trip off the grid)

We loved this condo! Not only was it nicely decorated and spotlessly clean, but the view is incredible (the photos don't do it justice) and the little community was serene and felt very safe. This was our first time to this particular area of the Smokies and we will absolutely be returning soon! Only miniscule gripe is the fact that the water in the condo gets up to tepid at best. Not much of a hot shower here. Other than that, perfect getaway weekend.
Owner response:We’re so sorry for the water problem. Our housekeeper accidentally turned the water heater down when adjusting it. It’s usually extremely hot. Wish you would have called us, as the problem would have been corrected immediately. Our mountain retreat offers many wonderful amenities, including hot showers!

Our stay was an enjoyable one to say the least. The sound of the falls, the beauty of the gorge and the relaxation you will enjoy is indescribable! We were able to only stay a few days, however it was an enjoyable and relaxing time. Enjoyed a nice cozy fire in the fireplace and had a fantastic dinner of grilled steaks. Everything stated in the property info is accurate and more. Owner is extremely helpful! All I can really say about this property is WOW! I look forward to going back......if it is not all booked for my next visit!

We were there for 3 nights with our families in 3 condo's on the falls. This condo was the nicest decorated, and had everything we needed for a great mini-honeymoon. The falls are gorgeous in the fall and will be back!

What a great place. This is a well decorated condo with a spectacular waterfall view. My husband and I went for our anniversary weekend getaway. The condo fit the bill. It was very clean and well decorated. We sat on the deck and looked at the beautiful waterfall. The area around Toxaway is great for hiking, shopping and great restaurants. We will be back for sure! Thank-you Mary Ann and Jim

Adelaide, we really enjoyed your codo. The condo was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The view from the deck is outstanding including the sunrise over the mountain. If you go on a day trip to Waynesville, N.C. be sure to have lunch at the Sweet Onion Cafe just off of Main Street. It was outstanding. Thanks for the bottle of wine. Robert and Anita

Dear Adelaide, Our vacation in your beautiful condo was WONDERFUL! The pictures did not really do it justice. The furnishings, the view, the mountains, the shopping, the dining, all were spectacular. We didn't want to leave, one week is not enough time. We will definately come back another time. You were so thoughtful and helpful, from directions to a bottle of wine. We can't thank you enough!

My husband and I just returned from Lake Toxaway for our 10th year wedding anniversary. The condo is perfectly situated overlooking the falls and morning sunrises. Many photographic opportunities in this area of NC. The condominium itself is nicely decorated, very comfortable king sized bed, new washer/dryer, all the dishes, pots & pans you would need and complimentary coffee. There is a really cute, rustic restaurant at the top of hill (overlooking the falls as well). We dined there our first night. Also another really tasty restaurant approximately 1 - 2 miles close by called the Brown Trout Grill -- across the street from the lake and guess what...? excellent trout! If you've never been to this part of the country, you certainly need to put it on your list. Weather is great in August.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was absolutely perfect! We greatly enjoyed the privacy, sleeping to the sound of the waterfall, and just how nicely decorated, clean, and updated the condo was. It felt like a home away from home! I would highly recommend this place! The owners are very friendly and helpful as well! We would definitely stay here again.

Thank you so much for the great directions. We had a wonderfut weekend. We were attending a wedding at Lake Toxaway. Our room was very romantic with the wonderful view of the falls and the relaxing sound to sleep by. I woke up on Sunday am to see a sunrise almost as beautiful as the one on your postcard. If we decide to visit that area again we will definitely try to stay at your condo again. It was clean and comfortable. Ele' (our bull dog) enjoyed the balcomy as much as we did. (The screen made us feel it was safe to let her out there with us.) Thank you for letting us bring her even though she weights 30#s more than you 15# limit.

I'd like to say to anyone who is even thinking about renting this condo; do NOT think any longer & hurry up to book it! The photos do not do this little haven any justice! I am a neat freak and found this place to be spotless and very well decorated. I rented this condo for our 22nd anniversary and wanted this weekend to be special & that it was!! My husband was so proud of me; he was soooo impressed with the place & even more when I told him of the price. Let me tell you,; it was well worth it! The owner Adelaide is very helpful & quickly returned my emails whenever I had any questions prior to & after I booked the condo. The falls were so beautiful---I would definitely recommend this condo to anyone looking for a special place...it is a JEWEL !! We would definitely return..... Thanks Adelaide!!!!!

What a great condo. Everything was as we expected and exceptionally clean. The location was centrally located to see a lot of western NC. We had some rain and the falls really roared. I would definitely stay here again. We liked the Brown Trout and Country Cupboard restaurants

The condo was very clean and comfortable. The best part is the view and the deck. When our neighbors below were not smoking, we could leave the doors open and enjoy the sound of the falls throughout the entire condo. We spent a lot of time hiking in Pisgah National Forest (30 min. drive away). The unit is extremely well decorated and may have been remodeled recently. The paint, carpet, etc. are all in excellent condition. I didn't have any troubles making the reservations or receiving my returned deposit. The owner even helped us get our bearings when we got lost trying to find the place. I would definitely recommend the property.

We really enjoyed our stay at this condo! It has been totally renovated and very tastefully at that. The King size bed is super comfortable and the views of the waterfall can't be captured with a camera. There are fireplaces in the bedroom and living room. It was not cold enough for us to make a fire but would be nice to in the winter. There is a little restaurant right next to the condo called the Toxaway Falls restaurant and it is really quite delicious. It is just the owner and a few people on staff but you have views of the falls and the food is just like a really yummy home cooked meal. I ate there all 3 nights and loved it. I highly recommend the Potato Crusted Grouper. You can bring your own wine for a corking fee. I think it was around $5. There is a little coffee shop right around the corner with pastries as well for mornings. There is lots of hiking in the area and more waterfalls to get to via the trails. I highly recommend the hike to Rainbow Falls. It's not for the weak but it is a great workout and truly beautiful at the end. We drove into Asheville one day and that took about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Definitely worth going. We drove into the Highlands the next day and that took about 30 minutes. The Highlands are very upscale and absolutely gorgeous. It is a great place to take a day trip and have lunch and walk around. Lots of "cater to you shopping". If that's your thing you will be right at home and if not then you will still enjoy a yummy lunch with outstanding beauty! I would say my weekend was very relaxing but still full of fun adventurous activities. My kind of trip! I did look forward to getting back to the cozy little condo with the beautiful views at the end of each day :) We will definitely be back!

This lovely condo overlooking the falls is exactly as pictured! The view is amazing ( I can only imagine how gorgeous it is in the Fall). You have one of the most comfortable, spotless, and completely well stocked properties that I have ever visited. As other reviews mentioned, it is within 30 minutes of quaint Brevard, Highlands and Sapphire. A TERRIFIC & UNIQUE LOCATION- you must enjoy!

This condo sitting on top of Toxaway Falls is the perfect place to getaway from it all and relax! There are beautiful hikes to the most beautiful waterfalls very nearby! Our children had so much fun, hiking, canoeing, gem mining and so did we! But the nicest part was coming back to the most beautiful and comfortable condo to sit on the balcony and relax with a wonderful view of Toxaway waterfall. We had a marvelous time! Thank you!

Beautiful accommodations await you at this condo. It is tastefully decorated with attention to every detail. The spectacular location directly next to Toxaway Falls creates a serene & relaxing atmosphere. The towns of Brevard, Cashiers & Highlands are all nearby and offer excellent shopping, a variety of restaurants, & an abundance of outdoor activities. Thank you to the owner of this condo for making our first trip to Lake Toxaway a pleasant experience. The owner helped us to plan our visit; she provided lots of info about the area to us; and we would highly recommend her VRBO to you.

Thank you for sharing your retreat in the mountains, everything is so nicely decorated. The King size bed was wonderful and of course, who could ask for a better view and the sound of the waterfall to sleep by! It was a short trip to Asheville to go to the Biltmore House and accessible to many other places if we had more time.

My husband and I were able to have a long weekend away in your beautiful Condo. It was so nice to see how clean and fully stocked it was. The waterfall in the back was wonderful and we really enjoyed being able to walk up the hill for a nice dinner (with live music) and shopping for local treasures. We spent our days, peacefully tubing down the local rivers and taking hikes to see waterfalls in the area. We also took a drive to The Highlands, where a local artist festival was going on. It was very much a picturesque weekend.

We went on this 'spur of the moment' getaway and were very pleasantly surprised at the lovely, peaceful, retreat atmosphere of this condo. Ms. Lopez was very easy to work with and quite accomodating of our requests. The condo itself is very restful, tastefully decorated and with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The area itself has much to offer in the way of hiking, golf, restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.
