What an amazing location!! I can't imagine a better location than this apt. Clean and cozy, enough room for the three of us. Initially I was a little worried about noise coming from St. Marks, but the apt was quiet enough to sleep late into the morning. Haim was very friendly. I will defiantly be staying here again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

what you get is what you should expect in the area. Small but clean place in busy area with lots to do. They do need one missing blind to make place alittle darker at night but I's still stay there again.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, sightseeing, adventure seekers.

We are a couple who stayed in this studio for a week mid February. We found the studio to be exactly as described. The East Village location was perfect, the apartment was warm on the coldest of days, it is on the street, so the sound of revelers is there on the weekend, but mostly we did not mind the sounds of the city. The owner was great and easy to reach when we had questions. I would recommend this property for a single or a couple.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

We loved this little place! It was perfect for two of us, close to the subways, tons of places to eat, walking distance to Union Square and Greenwich Village. The apartment was clean, a little noisy, but nothing a set of earplugs didn't cure. Great value, would definitly stay here again!Recommended for: Families with teenagers.
Owner response: Thanks for your comments looking forward to host you or your friends again .

This is exactly as it is promises to be. In the heart of the East Village, a clean and comfortable place (forget quiet, it's the East Village) in the middle of everything. Close to subway, grocery, restaurants. It was perfect!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing, adventure seekers.

My boyfriend and I stayed in the apartment for 3 nights in the beginning of November. The place is small but it was perfect for us because we really only used it to sleep in. It is in a great location in the East Village close to lots of restaurants and there are two subways within walking distance that will take you up and down the east and west side. Even my boyfriend (who is a little scared of cities) felt safe staying there. The apartment itself was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Haim was nice and met us at the apartment with the keys after we were running an hour late from when I told him we would meet him. The price for the apartment was our favorite part because it allowed us to do more things in the city. It was just as easy as staying in a hotel but it was cheaper than most of the hotels in the city. We would definitely stay here again.Owner response: Thanks for your comments hope to see you soon !

Haim was an excellent correspondent prior to my stay and was waiting for me when I arrived by cab. The studio matched the description. There were no surprises: it is well-located on a very active, historic street; it's intimate (great for one or two people, or a very close family of three!) The photos show the apartment as it is. The property was clean, and there were conveniences I appreciated: a computer (and internet), kitchen supplies, iron, hair dryer. There were a couple of little things I mention only in the interest of honesty in my review: the toilet tank had some trouble filling itself after flushing (we all know what to do about that; flip the handle or push the plunger down)-- and, probably because this is a typically old NYC building, the water wasn't always hot when I wished it were. I mention this not to disparage the studio, which I liked. Haim is immediately reachable and very responsive- I could have asked him to intervene and he would have been over to help right away-- but, I'm pretty low-maintenance, and was just too busy to be able to address these small inconveniences, which, for me, were inconsequential. I slept fine, had access to subways, good food, entertainment and everything I needed. I would stay here again. If you go: try the restaurant immediately downstairs for dinner and a glass of wine (nice patio and cozy interior, well-priced) and don't miss Veselka, just around the corner, for a traditional Eastern European breakfast. Abundant other choices, too.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, adventure seekers.

We really enjoyed our week-long stay in this apartment. If you are one that expects a luxurious living space, soft beds and all the bells and whistles, this is not your place. If you are looking for a clean apartment in a fantastic neighborhood (good eats, drinks, supermarkets, close to subway, etc.), this IS your place. All we did was sleep here, so I can't say anything about the kitchen amenities since we did not use them. Everything else worked fine. The street noise did not bother us at all - I thought it was relatively quiet for New York. I would definitely stay here again! You can't beat the price for what you're getting! Thanks, Haim!!! PS - If you are a first-timer to New York and have a smartphone, check out the trip planner on the MTA's site. It is a lifesaver until you get the hang of the subway!Owner response: Thanks ! Im glad you had a good time see you soon !

If you're looking for value for your money, this is your place. Located in a central ventricle of the East Village, there is more to do withinin a few square blocks of this studio than in most countries. The ventilation system of the restaurant on the ground floor seems to feed into the bathroom window, which, delightfully, allows this studio to boast one of the most delicious-smelling bathrooms in town. What's more, despite the proximity of an active restaurant, there was not a hint of vermin to be found. Make no mistake, this place is small. Two people staying here had better like each other a lot. More than two people would be bruising each other's shins. It's not fancy, the bed isn't luxurious, the kitchen isn't large or well appointed. But you're not coming to New York to lounge in your room, are you? This studio is exactly what you need, no more, no less. It's impeccably clean, ideally situated, well-supplied, and charming. The owner is responsive and very helpful, and was willing to accommodate our unusual schedule. Instructions for operating the TV and computer are clear. The street outside is active enough that you'll feel safe at all hours, but not so bustling as to make you wish for a plague. Note, though, the bed is against the window facing the street. It's above pedestrian level, so there's no privacy issue, but there is modest noise. Our simple and effective solution was to play a white-noise rainstorm simulator on the computer's ample speakers. The price is quite fair, the air conditioner works well, and the bathroom, unlike many in New York, is just ample enough that one needn't be a gymnast or a yoga instructor in order to fit into it. For our next trip to New York, this is the first place whose availability we'll check. For a small but serviceable NYC studio, it comes highly recommended.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, sightseeing.
