"Little Lagoon" is a cute 1 bedroom apartment on the ocean side first floor of a solid masonry 2-story building right on John's Folly Bay lagoon. This little getaway includes a refrigerator, sink, microwave, 2 burner hotplate, coffeemaker, toasteroven, and various kitchen supplies, just enough to do minimal food preparation and reheating. Little Lagoon also includes a sofabed in the living room, in addition to the one bedroom, and a private porch with a BBQ grill and outdoor dining under the coconut palm trees.

We view several U. S. and British Virgin Islands, the shipping lanes for cruise ships, and sailing & motor vessels. We face N.E. and experience awesome sunrises and reflections of sunsets. We are 100 yards from the beach at John's Folly Bay and 20 feet above sea level on a beautifully landscaped vista of flowers/native trees/palm trees/fruit trees. The building is owner-occupied with 2 young children, and has an outdoor play area available. We are steps away from a gorgeous shallow lagoon which is ideal for swimming, snorkeling, kayaking and fly-fishing. We're on the public bus route, but car rentals are recommended. ALL "LITTLE LAGOON" RENTALS COME WITH FREE SNORKEL GEAR, BEACH TOWELS AND BEACH CHAIR USE!

We have an historic ruins built in 1882 on site, and are surrounded by hiking trails & various white sand and rocky swimming/snorkeling beaches. The V.I. National Park constitutes 2/3 of the island, and the skies are usually sunny with an average year-round temperature of 85 degrees.

  • Our stay in "Paradise" exceeded all of our family's expectations! We can't say enough about the hospitality offered by Donna and Ernest and the girls. The lagoon offered a safe place to explore, and the location was a perfect combination of seclusion and easy access to all of the other beautiful beaches on Saint John. We especially appreciated the warm, relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. When we first planned our trip to Saint John, we imagined it as a once-in-a-lifetime vacation. Now we are already dreaming of our next visit. We know exactly where we will stay, too: Little Lagoon!

  • Donna and Ernest, and their daughters Seala and Sierra, have been the prefect hosts for my week in Paradise. Their little guest house apartment in John's Folly was my perfect escape. Each morning I would take my coffee and walk down to the edge of the bay, basking in the beauty before taking a swim - such a gorgeous spot! The bus stop at the top of the hill provided perfect transportation - at $1 a ride! - to or from Cruz Bay -- or points on Center Line Road from which I could hike the trails down to many of the fantastic beaches here on St. John. Be sure to read through the guide books in the apartment, especially "St John - Off the Beaten Path," which offers great insights. Donna and Ernest are also great with suggestions and tips of what to do, where to go, eat and shop. Such a great vacation -- thank you! Michael

  • "Little Lagoon" is a cozy and private oasis nestled at the far East end of the island. My wife and I spent a week there and by the second day, we didn't want to (ever) leave. Most of the hustle and bustle (by island standards) are at the far West end of the island so you are far enough away to really get a sense of privacy. Going to sleep at night and waking up to the roaring sounds of the sea is something we'll never forget, and there are wonderful restaurants nearby that have to be seen to be believed. The warmth, generosity and privacy you will experience will keep you wanting to return year after year!!
